David had recently divorced after he came out. After his undercover cover is blown, he meets Evan and they are instantly attracted. They get involved fast and almost break up permanently over something in Evan's past. When David realizes that it really doesn't matter and they get back together. Unfortunately Evan is almost killed on the job. This bring them closer together and they decide to marry. There is a heartwarming moment when David's ex stops in and the bad feelings between them seems to be at the end. Michelle is happy that David found Evan and is considering dating herself again. Maybe to another woman. David is supportive of whatever decision she will make.

These books are all the same: Not a lot of accuracy in either the police procedure or the BDSM, and the writing is a bit staccato, but the sex scenes are hot as hell.

It's actually pretty comforting to me that the stories are all pretty similar. It's just pretty pure entertainment, not exactly mindless, but just sexy fun.
