Decent overview of the important beats in the development of algebra. A little inconsistent with when it attempted to generalize and when it got equation centric.

Beautifully written book. Brought all the main characters and described their importance in history of Algebra. Thank you John Tabak, for bringing all of them in perspective which individual biographies wouldn't have done.
