A young couple camp in an isolated mountain area. He seems eager to hike to a remote cliff called The Drop. She’s hoping to revive his interest in her, but feels in her gut it’s too late. Claire writes crime/mystery, fantasy, and science fiction. She is a member of Sisters in Crime (& president of the Desert Sleuths Chapter), Mystery Writers of America, and the Short Mystery Fiction Society. Claire transplanted from New England to Phoenix where she writes full-time, paints, and lives on a steady diet of Zoominars for connection, inspiration, and sanity.

She hosts multiple weekly write-ins for aspiring and experienced writers and writes book reviews for Kings River Life Magazine.

Her short stories are in more than a half dozen anthologies and online magazines. Play the Hand You're Dealt, her short story collection, includes several stories that earned honors in various competitions.
