On warm days, she does enjoy a glass of wine on the dock now and then, and always loves to sit at her desk, winter or summer, and tap at her keyboard.

3 1/2 Stars! ~ The Switch is a story of the depth of love a young man has for his beautiful bride to be. After a very serious riding accident, Adam fears that damage to his groin and leg may never resolve. While he desires his betrothed, he is alarmed to discover his body no longer responds. Seeking medical advice, he's given hope that his condition shall soon resolve. But Adam's pride will not allow him to disclose his present condition to Jacqueline for fear she will view him as less of a man. Adam does the unthinkable; he asks his identical twin brother Alex to switch places with him on his wedding night. Alex finds this idea ludicrous but Adam is insistent that his bride not discover his condition. Reluctantly Alex agrees and the next two weeks he discovers in Jacqueline's bed just how lucky his brother truly is. Finding Jacqueline an ardent student in the arts of lovemaking, Alex realizes how empty his life has been as the carefree rake whose life has always been privileged and he dreads the day he must give her up. Knowing his brother brings his wife intense pleasure opens a growing rift between them, and even Jacqueline senses there is tension. When Adam takes over his role of husband in his wife's bed, Jacqueline is amazed at how the brothers could ever believe she would not know the difference.
I'm really enjoying Emma Wildes historical romances. She has a lovely writing voice and she brings life to her heroes and heroines. While this story has an unusual plot, it brings out wonderfully the emotions of the two men for the beautiful Jacqueline. And Jacqueline proves to be a very intelligent woman, though hurt when she discovers their deception she comes to understand why her husband felt it necessary. I'd love to read Alex's story and hope Ms. Wildes will share it soon.

The cover is horrendous but the story itself was very entertaining and such fun to read. The plot was so outrageous that I just had to read it. I was really enjoying knowing this secret between these twin brothers and one of the brother's wife. I had a blast reading this. I think Jacqueline handled the reveal better than I would have and made a very smooth transition in the ending. I think she should have been angrier but she is a better woman that I am. Fun read overall.

I really enjoyed this erotic novel. It was graphic, had an interesting, unusual plot and sweet characters.
I am glad Jacqueline is smart and witty and was able to detect the difference between the twins when she made love with them on different occasions.
My only regret is not being able to find a sequel - a story about Alex and his journey to love. Really!

I loved it through out the book wasn't sure who Jackie would end up with and even though i love the book Didn't like the ending much if i could i would have my own way i would end it differently but still a great book I really am starting to love Emma Wildes.

The switch o El intercambio es una novela de corta extensión de la autora Emma Wildes de la que pude leer una de sus novelas (Una apuesta indecente) y que dejó muy buenas impresiones. Así que puesto que últimamente no leo casi nada y no quiero dejar el blog sin reseñas, me decidí por los relatos cortos y el otro motivo es que me acostumbre a hacerlo en inglés.
La forma de narrar la autora me encanta y también ese toque romántico y erótico que le da a sus escritos, tengo que decir que para la poca extensión y lo que ello conlleva tenemos una buena historia y bien ejecutada.
Adam y Alex Trevor son hermanos gemelos, obviamente son idénticos y esa es una ventaja que Adam utiliza para afrontar el bache de su lesión. Adam está tan enamorado de su prometida como ella de él, y es capaz de cometer este engaño con tal de no perderla. Alex, un consumado libertino, se presta al engaño aunque sabe que no está bien.
Así, la novela transcurre con el mantenimiento del engaño y pone al lector en la duda de qué es lo que pasará si se descubre, y cuál de los dos hermanos o ninguno enamorará a Jacqueline. Porque a pesar de todo os digo que me han gustado los dos, quizá Alex más porque tiene más peso en la trama.
El final ha sido inesperado y es que la trama tenía mucha chicha, por lo menos ha sido muy diferente a las novelas románticas al uso, cosa que me ha encantado.
Me he quedado con ganas de más, tras ese desenlace se merece la historia del hermano descartado.
En general, la historia engancha y me ha gustado más de lo que me esperaba siendo un relato corto.

Esta foi a minha estreia com a escritora e deveu-se a uma leitura conjunta decorrida em Agosto, organizada pela Raquel do Readings sunshine. Já tinha ouvido muito falar desta autora e tive curiosidade em conhecer algum trabalho dela, pelo que optei por começar por um romance "stand alone".
A obra inícia-se no dia do enlace do Lorde Adam com Jacqueline, com o noivo a confidenciar ao irmão que devido ao acidente que teve com o cavalo semanas antes, está a sofrer de impotência.
Envergonhado e com o orgulho ferido por não querer admitir à noiva o seu problema, segue-se um pedido insólito. Adam pede a Alex que o substitua no leito até o seu problema estar resolvido. Após alguma discussão ele acede ao pedido, o qual apenas é possível uma vez que são gémeos idênticos.
Assim, de dia Adam é o esposo delicado e ocupado com o que advém do seu título, e durante a noite dá-se a troca e "Adam" parece outro, demonstrando ser um amante exímio. Contudo, tal situação gera tensão entre os irmãos e a própria esposa começa a notar isso e inclusive alterações comportamentais no marido. Eventualmente, ela começa a questionar-se.
Como a sinopse é tão reveladora, creio poder expressar abertamente a minha opinião.
Este é um livro com uma história um pouco convencional, que remete ao adultério ainda que por omissão. A esposa não estava ciente e o marido vê naquela opção um acto de amor, e digo isto porque ele sacrifica a sua felicidade em prole da felicidade dela.
A história vai-se desenrolado, mostrando-nos uma trama repleta de cenas ousadas, pautada por momentos intensos de paixão. De um modo geral, achei as personagens interessantes e atrevo-me a dizer que teve mais piada conhecer o Alex do que o Adam, que muitas vezes acaba por ser relegado para segundo plano. O estranho plano dos irmãos e claro a troca, fez com que o Alex visse o que estava a perder e o quão vazia era a sua vida anteriormente, permitindo-nos acompanhar o crescimento pessoal que teve ao longo da obra.
Apreciei esta leitura contudo parece-me que faltou um pouco de profundidade na história, no sentido que a Jacqueline descobriu que foi enganada e a ocorrência resolveu-se demasiado rápido. Sendo ela uma personagem inteligente e apaixonada por Adam, foi capaz de entender o motivo para o que foi feito, mas não teve a densidade de sentimentos e emoções que eu esperaria numa situação daquelas.
De resto, foi uma leitura agradável que me proporcionou bons momentos de entretenimento.

Love it...I know it's an erotic book so I understand why Adam has his condition just so there's room for the sex scenes for his twin brother Alex. And it's a fantasy....to have both hunky twin brothers. At times I'm undecided which of the twin Jackie will end up with. It gave me a very bittersweet feeling at the end....If only she can end up with both. Very poignant....

Me ha gustado bastante cómo se desarrolló la historia de Jacqueline con los hermanos Trevor, y más que nada el amor que lee demuestra su esposo Adam. Creo que no me esperaba que el final se desarrollara como lo hizo, pero de todas maneras me gustó mucho. Recomendable

I decided to read the book because of all the buzz that was going on on social media. I was very curious about the story and the way things were going to unfold. Up to a point the author worked the plot well and was going down a certain path, but the ending I honestly thought it left something to be desired. I thought the author could have written a few more pages and better developed all the issues between the three. Otherwise it was a fluid and quick read.

Great story a lot of steam and sex. Adam and Alex are twins but when an accident happens to Adam he then asks his brother to step in and do his husbands duties on his wedding night.

Even though the cover is horrendous, it's an entertaining story. However, I expected her to confront her husband and kick his ass, but I was very disappointed that it didn't happen.

Definitivamente não. A história é absurda, o que a mulher sofre é abuso sexual porque ela consentiu apenas para o marido dela e não o irmão dele, foi enganada pelos dois e no final ainda os perdoou.

Dua saudara Adam dan Alex bertukar peran "suami" bagi istri si Adam yg karena kecelakaan kereta 6 minggu sebelum menikah , menjadi impotent.
Bermaksud membahagiakan istrinya dan memberikan malam pengantin yg berkesan untuk istrinya, Adam meminta Alex buat menggantikannya di malam pengantin...
Jadilah si Alex yang menikmati keperawanan istri Adam dan menyebarkan benih nya di rahim istri Adam....
Trus,anaknya anak Alex dong?
Walau akhirnya mengetahui bahwa Alex lah yg selama ini menidurinya, istrii Adam oke2 saja tuh...dan Adam juga tetap mempertahan kan istrinya biarpun Alex bilang dia jatuh cinta pd istri Adam....

although some parts of this story gave me a "yeah like that would ever happen" feeling I can say I absolutely enjoyed Alex. I have a big ole soft spot for the rakes of old which is why I gave it 4 stars as apposed to the 2 and 1/2 I felt the storyline deserved. Is there anything better than witnessing an indisputable rake reform? So in conclusion Alex received 5 stars the story 2 1/2 so I went on the high side to 4 when calculating the stars. I am a "character" reader. The storyline is usually just filling to me.

I'm not much into erotic fiction so I feel it only fair to state up-front that's partly why the one star rating. The other was just that I found the set-up highly implausible. It existed just to set up the fantasy of the sex scenes basically. I get that but it made the conclusion of the book completely unbelievable to me. I like Emma Wildes writing but I'll have to pay more attention to the book descriptions before I buy them in the future.

Disfruté mucho de esta historia, de las pocas que llamo impredecibles para mi criterio, hasta el final dudé un poco en su desenlace, si ella descubriría el intercambio y con quién se quedaría.
