I've been following Billie Best online for several years, and have enjoyed her humorous takes on life, love, and aging but I had no idea that she was so tech-savvy. To be honest, there was a little too much tech detail for me, but I enjoyed the story very much. The vivid descriptions of the characters, the university milieu, and (of course) sex kept me reading, and so many scenes were laugh out loud funny. I learned a few things about my own body too, in my old age!

This book is all at once funny, scary, uncomfortable, twisted, sci-fyish but IDK all this stuff (sensors and actuators and AI) is just around the corner no doubt. After all, bodily sensors and AI make for great drama. The book has a large cast of characters, it's fun to read, and quite the original plot. I so appreciate that that our heroine is 60+ and firing on all engines. It's refreshing and well written. Go forth and enjoy!

Good things about this book: some funny moments, funny concept, and sex positive.

Not so good things: the writing style was jumpy at best and hard to follow, I didn’t care for the “patriarchy is bad” themes, and it just overall wasn’t a great book. It’s too bad, because I wanted to like it.
