Wow... I finished reading Lex a few days ago, and Iam still thinking about it. I have been trying to figure out how to review it without giving all the secrets away. So, I hope that Iam able to do it justice and convey how much I think you should read it.
First, let me tell you, Lex is out of the box. Way out of the box. And if you are a closed minded person, then this one is not for you.

So, on to my review:
I love a book that keeps me guessing. Lex is book 1 in SK Logsdon's new series "Unconventional Hearts". Lex kept me on my toes. I was not sure what to expect with it, and Lex was such an amazing surprise, that Iam going to be author stalking until the next book in the series comes out.
I loved Lex. She was not your typical heroine. She was confident, self sufficient, smart, sassy and successful. She was living her life, the way she wanted to and taking names while doing it. She was a bit of a loner, and had major trust issues, but as you are able to see into her past, you begin to understand why she keeps to herself. She throws her life into her successful business and work is her life's mission. She has given up on love, and resigned herself to a life of being single. Lex was a survivor. She was able to overcome a past that literally makes your heart hurt for her. When most people would of folded and given up, Lex rose to the top and didn't let it keep her down. She was amazing.
The leading man was lush. I don't want to name him because it will ruin the surprise. And I must say, that figuring out who he was a huge part of the book. I will call him Suit Master, and as you read the book, you will understand why. Suit Master went above and beyond to win Lex's heart. He was absolutely amazing. His determination to win her over surpasses anything I can accurately convey with words. His patience and understanding of her were out of this world.
Lex and Suit Master meet via an online dating site. And as he begins to woo her, Lex's old fears begin to surface and she pushes him away--at least she thinks she does. Suit Master is not one to give up easily, and is out to prove that he is the one her soul needs. Their love story is not typical. It is not fluffy. And this story is so real, you almost feel like you actually know the characters. The emotion the author was able to capture pulls and tugs at your heart strings and you want to reach in the book and soothe Lex's wounded soul. At times you want to cry with her, times you want to cry for her, and times you want to stand up and be her cheerleader.
Lex is a story of acceptance and one woman's journey to loving herself and risking it all for love. And I realize that this whole review is cryptic and vague. But, I do not want to ruin the story for you. And I promise, that once you dive in, you will understand why it was so hard to write a review for this one. But, I can say-- get your one-clicker ready, because this one is not one to be missed.

Wow I don't know where to start...... it so was not what I expected at all. This is a very unconventional story and the first of its kind I ever read. I love how the story is told. I felt every emotion there is . I think the one I felt the most was pissed off at Lex for how she sees herself.
Lex is a 28yr old business owner. She has suffered from verbal, mental and physical abuse by her father and by the first guy she thought she ever loved. She has the scars on the outside as well as the inside form it all. You will be shocked at how strong Lex is with all that she has endured. ( I know I'd most likely be in the nut house). Lex feels no one will love her because of her secret. She is not ashamed of it but is afraid of how people will react and she doesn't think she can handle any more abuse.
Will Lex allow someone to love her? More importantly will Lex let go of her insecurities, her past and most importantly embrace who she really is??? Will she be able to love them???
I think anyone who reads this and keeps an open mind will fall in love with Lex and her story. I would place this novel under the LGBT Genre!
This is my first every S.K. Logsdon read and I have to say, it was amazing! I knew from just the cover and synopsis that I needed to live, breathe and eat this book but surprisingly it was so much more. Lex is not like anything I have ever read – and before you go and say that it probably is because you can tell from the synopsis that it is about an abused and sacred woman moving forward in life, well than I will have to say you are write – but it’s so much more than that. Lex’s story goes beyond being abused and hurt from her past. The whole character of Lex is like none other and will have you opening your heart and mind to something different but yet something beautiful.
I was floored when I started reading Lex and getting to know her better because I didn’t expect any of what was thrown at me. Yes it’s a love story about finding your true soul mate and yes it’s about a woman who is slowly starting to get a new life one she has never thought she would ever have or even deserved. There are many hidden secrets when it comes to Lex and I can almost guarantee you that you will not see it coming until its smacks you in the face and is like BAM!
Not only did I fall in love with Lex, all of her but I also fell in love with Gage and The Suit Master. Gage is the confident attorney that is thrown into Lex’s life and not in a good way, in the beginning. Gage has many different sides – he can be sweet and charming and a total ass when needed. Gage literally makes Lex’s blood boil and has her considering manslaughter doesn’t sound like a bad idea. The Suit Master is charming and poetic and has a way with words that pulls Lex under his spell.
My heart broke for her because Lex truly felt like she didn’t deserve happiness and would never find it. She has Gage chasing her in the annoying way only Gage can do and has an amazing and charming man, The Suit Master, trying to swoon his way into her life. Lex is closed off and has steel walls built around her heart because all she knows is pain, shame and disappointment and will not put herself in that situation again because of her earth shattering, deal breaking secret.
When Lex’s secret finally comes out in the open will she find herself alone again? Will the huge secret that Gage is withholding from her cause their relationship to shatter before it’s even begun? Will the Suit Master finally persuade Lex into finally meeting him and take their online/text relationship into the real world or will his secret too ruin everything?
S.K. Logsdon dared to give us something so different and out there in hopes that we love it and I must say I definitely did. I praise her for taking the chance on this book and nailing it down to the last period. I felt like there was such a deep and important message in this book. Love is blind; he has no color, no gender, and no age and is always beautiful. If you take one thing away from this book I would hope it would be that you need to love yourself and accept yourself as you are. You need to not worry about what everyone around you looks at as normal and love yourself for who you are and accept yourself at you are. Everyone can love and whether it’s between a man and woman, woman and woman, or man and man it’s always beautiful and something everyone needs. Beautiful job S.K. I can’t say anything more than thank you for writing such a risqué and true novel about acceptance and love.

My review of LEX – (Unconventional Hearts) by S.K. Logsdon
SPOILER FREE ZONE!
Stephanie took a chance in writing this story because it is very different than any other. It’s going to take some beatings I am sure….why? There are a lot of closed minded people who can’t look past the not so pleasants of the story far enough to see that it is a beautifully written story about a woman that fails to see she is beautiful and worthy of finding someone to love her.
I walked hand in hand with Stephanie writing this and cheered her on the entire way. Because I seen the beauty in the characters and the story she was trying to tell. I saw the bigger picture. I knew where she wanted to go. I am proud of this story, these characters and Stephanie. She wrote a story about the unique people in the world. Those who deserve their HEA’s.
You will start to read Lex and you will find you are sucked into the world of this High Class, Tea and Scone loving, Beautiful, Strong and Powerful woman. You will walk in her shoes (more than once) learning of her reasons for being the way she is. Learning why she doesn’t trust very easily. You will learn of her struggles and her insecurities. You will also see that Lex is yearning for the husband, the children and the white picket fence. You will follow her as she attempts to find love. You will feel every emotion she does. I cried a few times reading this. Some parts of the story just made me ache for Lex.
Along the way, you will meet several men in Lex’s life…..several men to whom you will fall head over heels in love with. Several men, that you will hope can be “the one” for Lex. The one that will make Lex see she clearly is Worthy of Love. She is worthy of being treated like the “princess” she is. You will be torn, as I was, in the beginning as to just which man you wanted her to find a HEA after with. Just when you think you have it figured out – you won’t.
You will meet a very special character that turns Lex’s world Upside down. One that I think was finally the key to her realizing she is worthy of giving and receiving love.
This is a story of finding yourself. Allowing yourself to be loved no matter the so called “baggage” one carries. It’s about falling in love. It truly is a love story like no other. I applaud Stephanie for taking a chance and writing the story. It is a story that – if you are truly a human with real feelings- will make you sit back and think. It will make you think of all those Unique people in the world that everyday must struggle. It will make you think that not everyone’s perfect but perfect for someone. It will also make you sit back and think that everyone is worthy of love.

I was given a copy of this AMAZING book by the author for an honest review.
This book was so full of surprises, I don't even know where to begin. It's taken me awhile to attempt to write this review because I've had a hard time coming up with the right words. I've read other works by S.K. Logsdon and absolutely loved them. They were great reads. However, this book, this book right here, is EPIC!!!
LEX is a part of the Unconventional Hearts series. It is, indeed, unconventional, but beautiful in it's own way. It is evident that S.K. Logsdon put her own blood, sweat, and tears into writing this book. It is also apparent that the author did her research well and created a tale unlike anything I have ever read before. This book was executed so beautifully, I felt I was right there in the book with the characters. I connected with them. I felt every emotion: The fear, the happiness, the laughter, the confusion, the tears. Did I mention that there are some pretty HOT scenes in it? I laughed. I cried. I cheered Lex on. I scolded her. I fought right along side her. I loved this story. It will take a special place in my heart, and when I get a paperback copy of it, it will go on my "Cherished Books" bookshelf.
Can't wait to read the next in the series.

Lex by S. K. Logsdon was unlike any other story that I have ever read. This author is new to me & I've had the book for months before getting round to reading it. This book is about 2 people who have been treated very badly; both were abused children who grew up into successful but broken, emotionally challenged adults with lives filled with pain & anguish.

I read Lex about a month ago. I took forever to review it because I wanted to make sure I did it justice.
This is an amazing book, written by an even more amazing person. Lex is a strong, determinded, and caring business person. She has a tortured past and secrets only a few know. Her best friend convinces her to set up an online dating profile. Lex does so, mainly to get her friend to leave her alone. She has decided that love isn't in the cards for her.
She gets messaged by a man who she nicknames the Suit Master. He's amazingly sweet and romantic. At the same time Gage, an attorney, walks into her life. At first it's a true love/hate relationship. She's attracted to him, but he makes her angry at the same time. She also becomes reacquainted with Corey, a guy she went to highschool with. The book takes you through twists and turns to find out who she will fall in love with.
So far, you must be thinking, what's so different about this love story? Well, I can't tell you, but what I can say is... if you read this story with an open mind, and remember that everyone and I mean everyone deserves love, you will walk away with a suprising view into something you probably never thought you'd know about.

I was lucky enough to get to beta read this book. I couldn't wait until I was sent the next installment. You get pulled into Lex's story and need to know what will happen next, what happened to her in the past, and will she finally find true love. This is definitely a controversial book, but it is one that should be read. It is nothing like I have ever read and opened my eyes to new situations and issues that others may be dealing with. I felt a wide range of emotions while reading the story one minute I was crying and the next I had a huge smile on my face and then I was screaming at my kindle.

Lex by S.K. Logsdon
I had the pleasure of working on this book and I have to say that it is amazing. A very unconventional love story, but a love story nonetheless. The more I read into the story, the more I feel in love with the characters. For having such a difficult childhood, Lex was able to become a very successful young woman. It was a poignant read from beginning to end and am completely in love with the authors talent. A must read for the ultimate love story.

First I need to give the author credit for touching on a subject matter that is extremely difficult.
This was an interesting story. At times I felt it dragged on a bit and had too many details. Not sure if it was my type of story but again the author brings up a touchy topic and I was curious to see how this played out.
I did find Lex a bit materialistic at times but as you begin to learn more about her you begin to realize why she was the way she was. I admired her strength in the wake of everything she has been through.
Gage, was another strong character who's strength you had to admire.
This book showed some amazing friendships and how sometimes your family may not always be one you are born into but one you find as you travel through life.
I think for the most part whether you like the story or not you will definitely take something away from it and appreciate again the authors courage to bring up a taboo subject matter.

WOW!! Just wow! I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book. I had heard whispers about this book but had no idea what I was in for! This book BLEW me AWAY!! The unconventional story line and amazing characters had me turning the pages well into the night.
Lex had a horrible childhood and even worse adult life but is able to still see the good in people, yet holds back letting in love. Can one man break through the wall that Lex has built? Does Lex dare share her secrets?
READ this book! It is not for the faint of heart or closed minded people. By not reading this book you will be missing out on seeing what true love can really do and how far people will go to possess it their life.

I just don't know where to start with this book!
It was excellent, I loved it.
S K Logsdon has done a brilliant job on bringing this story as well as the characters to life for me, in some parts I actually cried and I'm not one who cries easily. It's emotional, sad, happy and HOT.
Lex is a really great and brave woman, it is hard not to love her and feel involved with her journey along the way. I have read many books so far this year and I have very few that leave me with a book hang over and this is one of them! Any open minded person will love this book too.

Holy wow.
I was not expecting that at all.
The blurb gives you a general idea of what the book is about, but to me, the blurb almost seems superficial to compared to what is actually in the book. The blurb is what attracted me to this book, so it is definitely a great synopsis, but when you get into the words, into the story, it is so much deeper than what the overview tells you.
This is one of those books that is so hard to describe because you don’t want to give anything away and it feels like if you go into too much detail you will be giving something away.
There is something going on with Lex that I have never read about in a book before, and I read a LOT of books. It blew my mind. I actually went back and read those few pages a couple of times to make sure that I had read it right.
I was feeling sympathy for her before I got to that part, then that opened up my eyes to why she has been through what she has been. I was horrified but saddened even more because I know people go through this every single day. (No excuses for the general evilness of some people, it is just the reasoning she gives as to why she is so scarred, both inside and out).
The men in the book made me nervous, including the one who turned out to be our hero. He had a temper and a possessive streak a mile long that led to some humiliating moments. If it had been me who he had his eye on, I probably would have run 1000 steps in the opposite direction. He came from a background similar to Lex’s, having been horribly abused also. The things these characters went through before coming together in the present day, I don’t know how one would survive and not come out of it completely shattered.
Definitely not your typical love story or romance though there is love and there is friendship and there is family. It is so much more than a love story.
I told one of my friends while reading this that I wish everyone would read a book like this, maybe, just maybe, reading in a fictional setting what goes on in someone’s mind and in their life, might make people be more open and accepting of others who are not exactly the same as them. We are so quick to judge what we find acceptable and unacceptable, to look away when something makes us uncomfortable because it is unknown. I would hope most people wouldn’t scar someone knowingly on the outside, but those words and actions that we take without thinking leave serious scars on the inside as well.
Amazing book. Heart wrenching journey.

This is a difficult review to write, not because I don’t know what to say but by doing that I would give the whole storyline away. Suffice to say that this book is not an everyday romance, it is a story of struggles, gaining self-belief and ultimately being the person you were meant to be with the person who was meant for you, no matter what society says.
When first reading this I was struggling to figure out the h of the story, Lex Keagan. She is a successful business woman and she is well respected in the town she lives, Heartfair (I so want to live here too!) She has had a bad time in her past due to her abusive father and her ex, but she is gradually learning to live her life, with the help of her loving Mother and close friend Roni. She has closed herself off from men and even after Roni convinces her to try on-line dating she knows herself it won’t be leading to anything. This was the part I was repeatedly asking myself – Why? But then I got to the crux of the storyline with the BIG reveal and I was suddenly totally on board and everything clicked into place.
The blurb is justified is stating not for the close minded person, no you definitely need to be open minded and easily acceptable to situations outside your realm of knowledge as this story was for me. However I just want to say I LOVED it! It was so wonderfully done and I was routing for Lex to just let go and be herself and grab what life was throwing her.
There are a couple of love interests as Lex had a fair few admirers both face to face and secret. I won’t name names as the thrill of the read is wondering who will be with Lex in that epilogue, and what a great epilogue it was.
A really surprising and interesting read and a totally unexpected offering from Ms Logsdon. I can tell she loved the character Lex she created, it just oozed off the page.
So if like me you are a reader of differing genres in romance then you will certainly love this, but to those who just like to read your run of the mill man meets woman and they run off into the sunset then maybe not. However it is ultimately a love story and for me it was more a more rewarding one due to the struggles our Lex went through to get there. Well done to the author for taking a chance and writing something different. It certainly opened my mind.

Noemi - Well I have to say that I was kind of intrigued by the synopsis of this book. I wasn't sure quite what to expect.
Jillian - It was not at all what I expected that's for sure. Lex was not at your typical woman. It was kind of nice for a change.
Noemi - No she wasn't. But I really liked her. And was shocked at everything she had to endure in her past.
Jillian - She went through so much its insane. It made her hesitant in many ways too then.
Noemi - You really can't blame her for being hesitant especially to new people coming into her life. After everything that happened to her.
Jillian - I don't blame her at all. I would have been the same exact way. Roni tried so hard to get her out of her comfort zone.
Noemi - She was such a great friend. Roni knew that Lex couldn't spend the rest of her life lock up in a box emotional; she needed love in her life.
Jillian - Of course she did. She deserved it as much as anyone else. Once she agreed to do the online dating things definitely got interesting.
Noemi - Oh yes it did! Going from nothing to now having three people pursue her. Um and hello Gage!
Jillian - Oh man he was sooo good! I would be so overwhelmed lol
Noemi - Right! A hot tattooed lawyer where do I sign up lol
Jillian - You got both classy and sexy. Awesome combination!
Noemi - He was something else. The fact that his past was so similar made him able to embrace everything about her.
Jillian - She needed someone like that. She needed that connection.
Noemi - Well she got that in spades with Gage. He didn't let her use her past to keep him away.

Noemi - I was really taken with her friend Lincoln. He was so protective of her and gave her such support. And he Mom was pretty great too

Jillian - There are some good surprises in this book.
Noemi - I thought S.K.'s writing was very good. I never felt like it was too rushed. She managed to deliver a story that really states that love is beautiful in every form and everyone deserves it.
Jillian - I enjoyed the way she wrote this story and I really liked Lex's character. I gave this book 3.5 stars.

Lex left me speechless, uncomfortable at times and in total awe of the courage the author had to write this book. This isn’t a story of what Lex had to overcome, it is a story of the type of person Lex was to rise above circumstances and be who she was meant to be. To learn to love herself enough to accept who she was and never fall victim to the abuse she endured.
After many years of abuse Lex decided that she didn’t need another person to make her whole. She would have her career, beautiful home, best friend and her mother and that would be enough to make this life she was given perfect. There was no time to feel sorry for herself, she was becoming proud of what she had achieved and she refused to let their hateful words scar her any more.
Little did she know that there was a man who had fallen in love with her years ago and had dedicated his life to making sure she was safe. One day he was going to make her fall in love with him but he had to take one small step at a time so he wouldn’t frighten her off. When he realized Lex had been talked into joining an online dating service he knew this was his chance.
Throughout the book we watch as his identity is discovered and we learn about the secret that Lex has been hiding. Lex is given chances at dreams that she never allowed herself to dream and with each step forward there seemed to be someone who wanted to push her back. While in the beginning fear of the unknown had kept her back, we watch as fear of losing what she had been given, create a courage in her that allowed her to fight back and believe in her worth as a person.
I can’t say more about this book because I don’t want to risk spoiling it, but I will tell you that never have I been surer than I am now that this is a one of a kind book. Throw out what you think you know about Lex and sit back and learn, fall in love with this host of characters and admire the courage of this author to put together a book like this. Wow!! I am absolutely stunned at the wonderful job that S.K. Logsdon has done with Lex. It was unlike anything I have ever read before. Everything about this story is unique. There is so much I want to say about this story but am unable to because it would completely spoil it!
Lex isn’t your average everyday girl. She’s one of a kind. I, myself, have never had the pleasure of reading about such an intriguing woman before. She had an extremely hard childhood. Due to her childhood she closes herself off emotionally from others except a very select few. Once you read her story you will be understand her standoffish ways. With the things she went through as a child it is amazing that she is sane. I absolutely adored her and I wish I had even just a smidgeon of the strength and courage that she has.
Hmm…who will Lex end up with? There are several different possibilities, most of which you vote for at the time. However, there is one in particular that you just absolutely love! He is the perfect match for Lex. He accepts her without question, when most men would shun her. He’s hot, possessive, and knows just how to handle Lex. Not just any man would do for Lex, it’s takes a special one.
Overall, I loved this book! It was completely different from anything I’ve read before. The characters in the book were unique and fit perfectly with each other. The emotion S.K. Logsdon portrays was flawless. I genuinely felt for the characters, whether it is sadness, happiness, loneliness, excitement, or all the other emotions the characters felt throughout the book. S.K. Logsdon gets an A+ 5 amazing and wonderful stars!

This book took me by surprise about 50% into reading it. To read this book you need to keep an open mind and really take in the love story being told. Now I have probably got your interest peeked about it and I hope you would take the time to read it. I can’t say what the BIG thing was that took me by surprise because it would give the whole book away. So now I am going to give you a summary of the book.
Lex is a bright, intelligent, and a thriving business woman. She owns her own business where she has become wealthy all on her own. She has had a hard life with an abusive past. After being beaten and broken she still is a fighter with a strong personality. Although she still has the terrified little girl deep down inside her. Her best friend is totally opposite of her. Roni is a tomboy whereas Lex is a complete girly girl. But if it wasn’t for her best friend things wouldn’t have happened like they did.
Gage is a hard, stubborn, hot head, sexy lawyer. He is tall and built to make a woman’s panties melt off. He has a knack for pissing Lex off any opportunity he gets. He can be a bit of a douche. He also has a past full of abuse and sorry excuse for an ex-wife. He has a precious little girl, Emma, whose mom could care less for her. Honestly it broke my heart the way she treated her. I mean how can you do that to your own child. Anyways Gage will start to grow on eventually.
I am giving this book 4 hearts. Like I said it has a great love story. It was sweet and written really well. If you start to read and need to talk about it I am here for ya.

WOW!! I just finished reading LEX, and now I hope I can put into words exactly how I feel about this book.
First, let me say I am an equal-opportunity reader. I am very open minded and do not shy away from books that may be out of the so-called box. Not everyone is as open minded when they read, and if you cannot read outside of that box, then this is not the book for you.
With that said, going into LEX, I had no idea what the context of the book was, but I was intrigued, and that was enough for me. Boy am I glad I took the chance - what I found was a beautiful story of friendship, acceptance and love.
This is a story of letting love into your life, even when you don't think you are worthy of love, because sometimes how you see yourself is not how everyone else sees you. This is a story of overcoming demons from the past, and realizing you are beautiful inside and out, no matter what you have been told or what has been done to you. This is a story of friendship, and realizing you can let friends into your life that will acccept you for you.

First, let me say I am an equal-opportunity reader. I am very open minded and do not shy away from books that may be out of the so-called box. Not everyone is as open minded when they read, and if you cannot read outside of that box, then this is not the book for you.
With that said, going into LEX, I had no idea what the context of the book was, but I was intrigued, and that was enough for me. Boy am I glad I took the chance - what I found was a beautiful story of friendship, acceptance and love.
This is a story of letting love into your life, even when you don't think you are worthy of love, because sometimes how you see yourself is not how everyone else sees you. This is a story of overcoming demons from the past, and realizing you are beautiful inside and out, no matter what you have been told or what has been done to you. This is a story of friendship, and realizing you can let friends into your life that will acccept you for you.
And then there's the HOLY HOTNESS to the story. I mean...seriously, HOLY HOTNESS!!

I gave this Book 5 stars.
Lex Keagan isn't your typical Lady. Her past has left her broken and afraid, yet she remains strong and successful. Because of her painful past, love has never come easy. She chooses not to let love in. By her best friend persuading her she gives online dating a try add that to the mix of the men in her life and she is confused and unsure of all of it. Will she finally put her walls down and let love in finally? Or will she continue to live the life that she is now living?
This book was very intriguing and although some of the parts were hard to read I fell in love with this story and with Lex. She is a strong woman and she doesn't let life keep her down, even after all that she has been through.. This story is more than about love it is about life and a journey that Lex has to get through to be able to survive on the other side. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story and a strong woman character. Thank you for your story I look forward to reading more from you.

From the time I heard about Lex I was so excited to read about her, but I was warned that it might not be my "thing" I still wanted to read the book and I'm so thankful I did. Her story is amazing I love how feisty, loving, and powerful she is. She has such a powerful story to tell from the beginning to the end that the whole book keeps you interested the whole time. Her Bff is so funny and truly her other half and I love that they live pretty much in the same house and have breakfast together every morning. Her BFF pushes her to get out of her comfort zone and do things that push her and make her do things she hasn't done in a long time and from that she has found out that it was the best thing she ever did.
The one constant in her life her other BF Lincoln is amazing he cares for her so much and is always there for her and that is so cool. When she finally finds the Suit Master and he treats her how a lady should be treated is a blessing and shows her what LOVE truly is like. There are so many twists and turns in this book that truly still surprise you and it makes for an amazing story! So glad I opened up my mind and read Lex's amazing story.

This author has done it again. She starts Lex's story of by drawing you in to power as a beautiful, powerful business woman. Her best friend lives in an upstairs apartment over her garage and they have a morning routine. Lex does her yoga and Roni as she likes to be called has her own thing. They built a company together and have been friends forever. But as Lex's story continues you get into her background and family history not fully but glimpse. Then Lex decides that she is going to start dating and that when the whole history comes out. All I can say is I never saw what her history was going to be. Then you get the whole picture. In the mean time she as a sorted relationship with what appears to be two guys but later on you find out the story behind that whole history. Lex and her story gets heated when she starts seeing a guy. But how he knows Lex is a surprise and how long he has liked her. This story has turns and twist and surprise in it that you see from their eyes.

First off you have to have an open mind to really love this book.
I did not read the blurb before I dove in so I had no idea what to except.
Lex is a beautiful, smart, sexy, successful woman. She has had a horrible past and because of this afraid to open herself up to men. As her story goes she has a secret and even now looking back there are clues along the way and once I found out I was a bit taken back. Lex is really afraid that she would not be accepted for who she really is. Gage is a smoking, like really smoking hot lawyer that barrels into her life. He pisses her off but then is protecting her. Gage has his own horrible past and is drawn to Lex. He too has secrets and when they come out he hopes that Lex will not run the other way. This is a very emotional ride of forgiveness and acceptance. I fell in love with each and every character in this book. Linc will be getting his own book and we will also get more of Lex & Gage in it too. Hot sex. Fabulous ending.

As most of reviews that you have probably read by now will all say the same thing or something close to it. Lex is a very different book and that this book should be read with "An Open Mind". The author knew exactly what she was doing while writing this unbelievable book.
Lex Keagan has had a very painful and bad past. She has learned to not trust and to listen with your mind never your heart. Lex has determined that she will remain alone for the rest of her life and was somewhat ok with that until her friend talks into trying online dating. Once Lex starts to make a connection with someone online whole new world now has opened up for her and yes there is some briteness in the tunnel ahead for Lex.
Now as Lex's comes to see what she was missing with having a man or should I say men in her life there a whole different person inside of her.
The objective of the story is overcoming the bad and looking for the good that is ahead and never turning back.

This book will make you laugh and cry. It is emotional but it is also HOTTTT!!! It is a very beautiful story that shows no matter who you are, everyone deserves love and happiness.

Wow! Never have I ever read anything like this story. I have to tell you, I had a few jaw dropping moments and a definite, spoken out loud 'NO WAY'. LEX is for any readers that enjoy different. I'm talking VERY different and are fans of this genre. Like the author states in the blurb. This book is NOT for close minded people. If you're open minded and ready for something different... READ IT! Nuff said :)
Lex is a very successful, independent and beautiful woman that's been through more than I can share. No one deserves even 1% of what she's gone through. Luckily she's such a strong and determined chick. There's not much more I can say without giving things away, so I'm going to leave you with this...Lex is AWESOME!

This was quite a tough book to read, I actually almost gave up about halfway through. The book started off as a story where I thought I knew what was going on, but very quickly become a totally different story altogether. I won't say it was an easy read, but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Lex is a very troubled young woman. She has had to go through quite a journey to get to where she is at the start of the story. She comes across as a very strong person, someone who knows their own mind and knows what she wants.
But below the surface secrets are lurking which could very easily bring everything down on top of her. She has to learn to trust people again, risking her past coming back to haunt her.
As I said this is not an easy read, but stick with it and you will discover a story which is something which will surprise and shock you in equal measures.
