Now in one volume! The sizzling best-selling erotic romance trilogy--Year of the Billionaire. Follow Raina and Tristan through three fast paced, suspense filled novellas--Knowing His Secret (Part 1), Taking His Risk (Part 2), and Keeping His Promise (Part 3).
Knowing His Secret--the scorching beginning to Raina and Tristan's affair.
He looked like the kind of man even my mother would call smokin' hot. Eventually, she did. He felt like the kind of man who didn't just break the rules, but made new ones. He led and it was follow or get out of the way.
Why did a billionaire with a voice like liquid silk and a face like a bad angel take a second look at a girl in no-name jeans, with a fifteen-dollar haircut and a beat up car she calls her "Eep" because the 'J' fell off long ago?
I didn't want to know why and when I thought I knew I didn't want to admit it. By the time I found his secret, it was already too late. His passion had me hooked like a drug. It didn't hurt that he pulled the people I love the most out of harm's way. A girl can get used to a knight in shining armor even when the armor has some very large dents in it.
Taking His Risk--the second installment, full of suspense and surprises.
I was hurtling across the ocean, a mile high, destination unknown. I'd brought a passport and nothing else. He seemed determined to make everything in my life brand new. He revealed me, peeling back layer after layer until all that was left was my raw intimate core. Yet, I hardly knew him.
Crazy is a pretty good word for the kind of uncertainty that comes with a man like Tristan King. I never knew what the day would bring, but I began to expect surprises. That was the biggest problem. Managing my expectations with a man who'd told me I couldn't have any.
For a regular girl, falling for a man like him was taking a very big chance. Was it really possible to love one day at a time?
Keeping His Promise--the soulful and satisfying conclusion to a journey of discovery, danger and delight.
Just carrying a million dollars around is exhausting. Paying my mother's ransom was a relief but I had too much time to think about Tristan on that ferry ride. He was more than I had dared hope for and less than I deserved.
I underestimated his power and didn't give him nearly enough credit for determination. He had me on his jet again, flying high and wanting him. Consequences be damned.
Who could be prepared for what he had to say? I wasn't going to hold him to the promise he intended to keep. When he opened the heavy door to his heart we both knew it would change what we had. Trouble is, I still didn't have a word for what it is we had.
Our bodies tended to do all the talking. Sometimes, it seemed to me there wasn't much left to say.
I loved this series. It was a simple read. I got book one for free and read it in a few hours, I immediately bought the boxed set of all three (it was a better deal). I was completely vested and engrossed. I could not stop until I finished the series. I found some missed words and/or repeat words but in my opinion that had no bearing on the books/story. For the record I never judge a book by editing nor should anyone else. Not everyone can afford an editor but have the right to self publish and get their story out. I recommend this series for sure.
This was so close to being a 4 star, but what this series had in eroticism and character development lacked in the right choice in words and a smoother plot. The sex was pretty enjoyable except for a few choices the author made like the use of "spunk" and the p word all the flipping time but that's just a personal preference. Even though I didn't especially like the characters total personalities I appreciated that they were well rounded and realistic. I liked that Raina's parents played such a large role but I wish that more time was spent on they're situation than all the sex scenes. Overall it was an entertaining read.
This was quite the journey. It was a great storyline that seemed to pull you in, causing issue with putting it down to do things around that house that should have been done in a timely fashion. The meeting and growth of Raina from the college graduate to a maturing adult partner was refreshing, along with her gentle swaying of Tristan to again, believe in his heart. That a childhood tragedy, along with a young adult loss of love, does not have to result in a bleak future as an adult. Good read. I truly enjoyed this story.
This series was a very good. The sex was awesome, but it was the storyline that kept me reading. I loved how the author was able to take Raina innocent outlook on life and uses it throughout this story. That innocent outlook does bring heartbreak and it also brings about anger to. But on the other hand, it does help to mend bridges for some. It also helps Tristan to trust again. That is why I loved the series.
Good, but forgettable. Left wanting more, but not in the good way. Had lots of potential. I love billionaires and I've already forgotten this ones name. Ha! More like 2.5 stars. Right down the middle for me.
I liked this series, I would give it 3.5. I had some trouble in book two when Raina seemed to be whinnying a lot.. But I did like how she started to adjust to living in the moment with no expectations.. ;-)
This was a good read. Very different from the 50 Shades of Grey books as this has more of a story line. Tristan and Raina are great characters. Kind of like girl next door meets big time rich man. Great read.
Not a bad series at all. Once you get past the first book it picks up and you get into it more. Book three was my favorite of them all but without the first two you'll be pretty lost.
Tristan is the man ....sexy, rich and aloof, does not want expectations. Raina a is down to earth girl next door with expectations. Can she walk away, will Tristan let her in?
Tristan & Riana belong together. Wouldn't we all love to have someone like "The King" in our lives. So dominant & romantic all at the same time! Couldn't put this series down.
