Naja Marie Aidt is a Danish poet and writer. She was born in Greenland, and spent some of her childhood there. She published her first book of poetry in 1991, and in 2008 she was awarded the Nordic Council's Literature Prize.

Jeg er ikke sikker på, at jeg forstod den. Der var få af digtene, der rigtig ramte mig, men de gav mig følelsen af ensomhed, at finde sig selv og sammenligne sig selv med andre. Digtet på side 35 var mit yndlings: “døren er i baglås, gaderne åd mine bedste sko”

Most of these poems failed to convey any kind of emotion to me and that made the whole collection fall flat
