If I knew how short this book was, I would have dedicated more time into reading it faster but I have just been so exhausted after work and the holidays; but anyway, this book was a pretty nice & quick read! I got super excited at the chapter where the romance began because it already contained suspense & thrill & then they threw romance?! Ohmygosh haha I was so excited, even though it wasn't the romance I really wanted (sorry I'm not sorry that I'm a lady perv :P) Moving on -- This book is about a young girl, Julie & her younger brother, Sam, whose parents had died in a terrible accident (I don't remember them every explaining HOW their parents died?!) and Julie, whose 22-23, was the sole guardian of her brother & they moved into their cousins old house. Julie's cousin, Tara, had been murdered 20 years ago and Julie was determined that Tara's killer was still out there fee, and the guy that was convicted, was wrongfully convicted.
When I read others review for this book, some said that it was so obvious who the killer was, so I figured the most obvious person was Skye (Julie's man candy) I thought he was going to trick her into falling in love with him and turn out to be a twisted psycho murderer but joke was on me because that was not the case. I just finished this book last night but I have no idea why Tara's murder (I won't spoil that much) had it in for her?! I mean, whatever, I won't rant about that because I don't want to spoil too much.
This was a pretty good book, I was very distracted by the misspelling of Skye.. one sentence it was spelled Sky the next it was spelled Skye.. just annoying! Other than that it was a pretty good book, kept my interest and wanted to continue reading.
Really bad. Clues to a 20 year old mystery, that apparently was never actually investigated, just fell into their laps. Two novices solved the thing in 3 or so days. The timeline didn't quite make sense to me. Totally dumb.
OVERALL PRETTY GOOD BOOK! Two parts were real predictable and Skye's name was spelled Sky without the E a few times. I will read more from this author in the future.
Not bad but there was nothing there to elevate it to the next level. I felt like I had read this same story time and time again. Predictable characters and plot line.
