What would you do to get it all back?

Lynkin:
Desperate, careless, frantic, and frenzied. These are just some of the words that could describe my state of being after everything was ripped from under me. I will do anything to get it all back. And I do mean ANYTHING. I just didn't expect what I would get in the process. She changes everything.

Sage:
Carefree pretty much sums up my entire life. My father has made sure that I have never and will never want for anything. I have a fiance on the fast track to business success and a best friend that will always be there for me. My future is set and I couldn't be happier with it. Then it all changed in an instant. He took me away from everything that I thought I wanted, needed. Now nothing will ever be the same

I published my first book, From Lies to Promises in 2014. Since then I can't stop the stories from coming. Stories from all different types of genres, New Adult, Young Adult, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy.

I have an obsession with anything people consider odd and I can never get enough knowledge. I have an Associates degree in Business Management and I work full time as an account specialist.

When I'm not working or writing I am busy being a wife to the best husband of the freaking universe and mother to 3 majorly awesome kids! Reading, Xbox, cooking and WINE just barely scrape the surface of my favorite things. Everyone who knows me will say I am a nerd... and I would agree. Want to know a secret? I am a super hero. True story!

The story is about a man who wanted 'revenge' against Mr. Donovan. He kidnapped Donovan's daughter, Sage, but they ended up falling for each other.

This is written in dual 1st Person POV.

I did a fast read not because of the writing style. I just didn't feel like waiting too long for the story to peak up. I thought her father was an asshole, what a twist!

Fantastic read, Amazing story line. Kept me turning the pages faster than ever Lynkin was amazingly sweet and HOT!! Sage just rocked his world. I wouldn't mind being held captive with him that's for sure. This book reminded me so much of the movie The Chase. Totally captivating from page one.

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for an honest opinion.

Holy book devour, Batman!

This is the first book I’ve had the pleasure of reading by this author so going into this, I wasn’t aware of her writing style, what type of story this would really turn out to be (past the blurb) or whether it would work for me.

Now that the story is finished and I’ve officially closed the book on the story of Lynkin and Sage, I can officially say that this won’t be my last rodeo with this author.

The story was great. I’m going to admit, I haven’t read a lot of books where the heroine is kidnapped by the hero and a love story ensues. I’m aware that a lot of them do exist, but thus far in my reading travels, I haven’t come across it. At least not that I can recall.

I’m glad this is was my first jaunt into this story type. Lynkin’s reasons for doing what he did, while wrong realistically, were valid. This man wanted to do right by his family, and under the belief that his livelihood had been stripped away from him, hindering his ability to do that, his motivations made sense. He wasn’t thinking logically anymore, he was thinking about revenge.

What he doesn’t expect is the connection that blossoms with his captive. He says it best himself the further we delve into what takes place between them. He was held captive by his captive and well, as the story continued, I was held captive by both of them. Sage wasn’t the way she presented in the beginning, and neither was Lynkin. As time moves on, you see something far more beautiful in each of them, which when you toss in a little attraction to get things started, turns into something that by books end was beautiful.

Neither one of them wanted love (what with Sage being “engaged” and Lynkin too messed up over the way his life was playing out), but that was exactly what they got and it was fantastic to witness. Each of them altering the course of forever for the other.

What I liked most about this book besides the romance that played out between the two characters, was how what you go in believing, what Lynkin is guided by, isn’t the way things are at all. How not only do lives get turned upside down when feelings enter the equation, but they also get flipped when the real truth is revealed. The true bad guy. It was a nice twist that I wasn’t expecting but that worked.

The only thing that stood out that would have made this book better than it already was (and it was great already), would have been having a bit more attention paid to their connection in the beginning. I felt that due to the pacing of this book, how fast it moved, that was thrown out there a little too quickly. With that being said, the need for that didn’t outweigh my overall feel for the book. It just would have been more of an added bonus. I’m a sucker for a developing relationship, even when it’s born in captivity.

My hat is off to the author for writing such an enthralling story that from the moment I started it, I was completely caught up in and captivated by. I’m so glad I got the chance to read it.

Tammy's 5 Bare Naked Stars ***** Review

As soon as I heard about Ransom. I knew I wanted to read it. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I was hooked from the first page till the Epilogue.

Sage grew up in a very wealthy family. Her father is a powerful businessman. He’s had all his focus on the business world and not his family. She has everything she wants in life including a fiancé and best friend. She feels like she has a perfect life till Lykin enters her life.

Lykin grew up with a single mom that always worked multiple jobs to provide for her family. She was the strongest woman Lykin knew. Lykin worked his ass off to go to college and get a good job so he could help his mom out with bills as she got older.

After college Lykin lands his dream job at Sage’s fathers company. He’s living the perfect life. Everything has worked out for him.

But he gets fired from his dream job and loses everything. He feels he didn’t deserve to get fired. He seeks revenge and takes desperate measures.

Lykin and Sage have an undeniable chemistry. The last thing either expects to develop feelings for each other. They are so hot together. Lykin is so sexy!! Many times it’s hard to remember he is the bad guy/ kidnapper.

“One day, you will know the kind of love that I am talking about. You will see there is nothing as important as the love that someone holds for you.”

Lykin and Sage are so sexy together. He opens her eyes to the truths of her perfect life. After the steamiest best sex of her life and tenderly holding her all night. He leaves while she’s sleeping. Then it's over.

Sage goes back to her old life. Will she stay with her fiancé or can she find true love with Lykin in the outside world?

There are so many twists and turns to keep you reading. I couldn’t put my kindle down till I finished the Epilogue.

I loved the dual POV. It helped me to see how Lykin was feeling and the turmoil he was going through.

“I love you, Beauty.”

“I love you too, Lykin.”

No spoilers here. But I absolutely loved Ransom and the Epilogue was the perfect ending. Wished it was a little longer but I always want more.

This was my first Faith Lynn book but it won’t be my last. Looking forward to her next release.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Lynkin the H thought he's hit rock bottom, the last few years have seen him climbing the ranks as a young business ingenue and it's all thanks to one man - Carl Donovan. The same Carl Donovan who also took away everything he's worked so hard to achieve. Vengeance and Revenge, an 'act now think later' mentality and a short fuse sees Lynkin kidnapping Donovan's daughter for ransom. Sage Donovan seems like your typical bored little rich girl. Her father owns a successful hospitality company and is more involved with his business than his wife & daughter, his wife is your stereotypical rich housewife who's more likely high on pills to pass ennui. Sage herself comes across a little shallow in the beginning of the book, I didn't care much for her until the latter half of the book - she showed some growth throughout the book and she was a better person for having met Lynkin. The book started out ok but it wasn't until 60% that I actually really started enjoying the story. It was a slow (and convenient) build up. I didn't think Lynkin was 'desperate' enough or 'badass' enough to pull off the dark anti-hero but he sure made up for it in the sack. The sexual tension and the romance build-up was realistic but seemed rushed in the middle of the book. The story itself was well written, a believable plot but resolutions seemed too convenient. I liked that there was some action towards the end of the book but the ending felt abrupt. A two page epilogue in Lynkins POV wasn't enough for me to find closure. I expected the book to have more of a dark tone to it but it was lighter than I thought and I was ok with that. Triggers maybe kidnapping and suicidal thoughts but the author takes care to gloss over each without too much fanfare to make it a dark-read. There were some editing issues but very few. Overall I enjoyed the book, there were potential to drag some angst out based on the plot but instead the twists were predictable and the kidnapping itself seemed trivial. Still a good book and I'd like to read more from this author. Standalone. Cheating?

Lynkin has made a huge mistake. Fired from a job he worked his tail off for, fired for embezzling, he makes a rash decision that changes his life forever. He is beyond angry that the Board would even consider that he had stolen from the company. He is so thankful for the opportunities they gave him, first the internship and then job, he would just never do that. So he makes a knee-jerk decision and kidnaps the owner’s daughter. But what the heck does he do with her now?
When Sage awakens with a horrible headache, she groggily tries to remember just how much she drank last night. But as her eyes begin to focus on the dreary motel room, last night’s events become crystal clear in her memory. She has been kidnapped! Does this moron know who she is? Her Daddy and fiancé will move heaven and earth to track her down. He will pay for this!
But when the ransom demand is not met, what do they do now? Lynkin needs the cash to help pay his bills and those of his disabled mother. Sage can’t believe her Dad and fiance have just given up on her, seemingly not even looking for her. Now, there is another issue that is starting to trouble her. How can she be attracted to the man that has kidnapped her? How can she be fascinated by the man who took her away from her privileged life. While not the smartest thing to do, it is somehow honorable for him to have his only priority to be that of providing for his mother. Now another thought has been creeping into Sage’s thoughts. What if she doesn’t want to go back? What if she wants to remain with him, kidnapped?
Really good read, with great detail. All the characters were interesting and I loved the crazy Aunt Roth.

Sage is the daughter of a powerful businessman, her father concentrates more on this business than his family, she wants for nothing, her life is carefree she has everything she wants including a fiancé and a best friend. Then Lykin Conner happens and everything changes.
Lynkin has had a rough upbringing but Sages father became his mentor and had a great job but lost it because of embezzlement.Lynkin wants back all that was his.Hes out for revenge against Sages father so he kidnaps Sage for ransom. But what he didn’t bank on was Sage and how she changes his world!!!!
Lynkin and Sage obviously spend time together theres definitely a spark there a sexual chemistry he tells her that her fiancé is cheating on her with someone close to her which she refuses to believe but spending time with Lynkin has Sage questioning whether she really is happy with the way her life is set up for her.Lynkin opens her eyes and heart……a relationship starts to build between them and Lynkin finds this pampered princess getting under his skin.
What follows is a hostage/kidnapper falling for each other and maybe dreaming of a life together but there are a few twists and turns before they get there…..or maybe they don’t!!!Lynkin is super hot sweet and sexy and sometimes it was hard to think of him as the baddie but he does bring out the best in Sage also.Sages character took me abit longer to warm to her I liked her more from the influence of Lynkin.Theres a pov from Lynkin at the end of the book too.

4.5 AMAZING STARS!

This book was funny and sweet with a dark twist. It was funny, sweet, sexy, action packed, and had one bad bad boy who could make you swoon then melt into a puddle. This is a new author to me and this won't be my last read by her! LOVED IT! :)

Lynkin has been fired from his job for something he didn't do. He wants revenge and what better way than to hold your boss's daughter for Ransom. In walks Sage. She is prissy, has a wonderful fiancé (or so she thinks), and a best friend at her side. When she and Manda went to the palm reader, Sage got a kryptic message and it is all starting to make sense. Waking up in a dingy hotel room with a man who is sexy as sin is a bit alarming. As she is held for ransom, Sage reevaluates her and it becomes clear that her life is not exactly what she thought it was or would be. As Lynkin and Sage spend more time together, feelings begin to develop and a bond is formed. Will Lynkin and Sage be able to find love or are there too many obstacles in the way?

I loved both characters. Yes this story is totally unbelievable but that is what I love about books, especially romance novels. Back to Sage and Lynkin. I loved them together. I understand what he did and why he did it. I mean still he did commit a crime even if it did turn out totally different.

I highly recommend this book!

"You do realize that I am a grown ass woman right?" she states.

Oh boy, have I noticed. The pictures that her father has on his desk do her no justice in real life. This woman is like fucking sin wrapped in a bow. "Let's just say I am holding you for random"

This book was so many thing wrapped in to one. Mysterious, action packed, A bit twisted, at times a laughed. This book had one hell of a twist that I wasn't expecting and I love that. How far would you go to get revenge.

Laykin is a hot Bad Boy, but you want to hate after he does what he does. I couldn't do, after his thoughtless plan to kidnap Sage. After not getting what he wants from the her father Sage and Lykn are coop up in that room for weeks on end. Both become aware of each other and the attraction they have for one another.

Sage has never had to work a day in her life. Coming from money she spends her time appearing at events for her mom and at her fiancé events. After weeks of being kidnaped, many things in sage life begin to change. She doesn't seem to look at thing as the stuck up snob she was.

I don't want to give much away and I don't want to give the ending away. This was a quick read and I feel in love with Laykin. I hate to say I feel in love with the kidnapper. This is one story you don't want to miss out on.

*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from Stephanie's Book Reports in exchange for an honest review.

4 stars for Ransom by Faith S. Flynn.

This story begins with a kidnapping plot. A business man named Mr. Donovan ruined Lynkin Connor's life by accusing him of stealing from his company. As a result. Lynkin kidnaps Donovan's daughter and plans to hold her for ransom.

Sage Donovan has everything a girl could ask for or so she thinks. When she is kidnapped, she learns that the people who confess to love her are not really who they portray themselves to be. As she and her captor (who wouldn't hurt a fly) spend more and more time together, they find themselves falling in love. Because he loves her, Lynkin lets Sage go.

When Sage returns home, she discovers that her best friend and fiance, Richard, have been having an affair for years. She also finds out that it was her fiance who set Lynkin up to take the fall when in fact he was the one who was stealing money from her dad's company. When Lynkin finds out how Richard set him up, he sets up a meeting to expose him. Richard is arrested and thrown in jail. At this point, you might think that the story is winding down, but you would be wrong. Hang on to your seats folks, things are about to get wild!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and the story kept me interested from start to finish. Hurry up and one click it now!!

I wanted to read this book from the moment that I read the synopsis. The wait was so worth it. Ransom starts off as a story of revenge but quickly changes to something much darker and intriguing. Lynkin loses everything when he is let go of his job. He makes a rash decision to kidnap, Sage, his boss”s daughter in order to get revenge for all that he has lost. Sage, on the other hand, has everything including a father that dotes on her. She doesn’t want for anything, but even with having it all- is the life that she really wants? The entire premise of this book has captivated me from the first page. This is a story of two people, living two completely opposite lives, who are thrown together and become deeply meshed in each others lives. Lynkin finds out that revenge is not for the faint of heart. And Sage finds out that having everything just sometimes isn’t enough. I loved the twist and turns of this plot. I didn’t know what to expect from page to page. Lynkin and Sage are so well written and developed that you could see the logic and reasoning behind their actions. I love a story that makes you expect the unexpected. Ransom is well thought out, drama filled, dark, and absolutely fantastic.

This book had me intrigued from the moment I read the blurb and I was not disappointed! Although this book was not quite what I had expected the story line had me gripped from the start!

Sage is the pampered daughter of a prominent business-man who is more interested on his empire that his family. She has everything, wants for nothing and is happy with her lot until the day Lynkin enters her life seeking revenge! And things don't quite go to plan!!

Wa follows is a pretty hot and steamy turn of events that leaves both Lynkin and Sage with a whole new perspective on life! Lynkin isn't a hard and nasty villain and you really get see his real side! His chemistry with Sage is hot and I thoroughly enjoyed the build up to their steamy relationship!

The ending was ok but think that maybe the epilogue could have given us a little more but on the whole I have really enjoyed the journey! This doesn't leave you hanging and it is the first book by Faith that I have read and will definitely be reading more!

I enjoyed reading this book! This book is about the things a guy will do for the ones he loves. At the beginning we meet Sage. She is living this amazing life. She has a lot of money, has a close best friend, and has an amazing fiancé who loves her. What girl wouldn’t want this life? Until one day when she was out and about, she gets tackled to the ground and all she can see is the dark figure hovering above her asking her if she is ok. When she comes to, she realizes that she has been kidnapped by a guy by the name of Lynkin. Lynkin is a guy that’s world has recently been turned upside down. He just recently got fired from his job for no valid reason, and because of that he is living in a cheap hotel room and is living week to week. He thinks the way to get back at his boss for firing him, is to kidnap the boss’s daughter and demand a high dollar ransom. He shocks himself when he actually pulls his scheme off. The only thing he didn’t plan on was the attraction he instantly feels for his captive. I really loved this book. I loved the tension between Lynkin and Sage.

I really enjoyed this story.
Sage finds herself being held for Ransom by Lynkin, he is a former employee of her fathers who was accused of stealing and let go. His life has been ruined and he wants Carl Donovan to pay. Lynkin tells Sage why he has kidnapped her, along with telling her a couple of other things that shock her and could really affect her personal life.
Lynkin calls his best friend Jennifer to watch Sage so he can have a break, I really loved her, she added some humor and made a great connection with Sage. As Sage and Lynkin spend time together they start to feel a connection that they both try to fight. Because of his love for Sage, Lynkin eventually lets her go.
When Sage returns home, she finds that she longs to be back with Lynkin and starts to realize how fake her life really was. She also discovers that what Lynkin told her was indeed true and sends things into a whirlwind.
Will Sage and Lynkin reconnect and get their happy ending?

Sage Donovan is the ideal pampered rich carefree gal. She believes she has everything she wants want with an ideal fiancé and best friend without any worries. How quickly things change when she is kidnapped by Lynkin Conner.

Lynkin thought he finally had everything after a rough childhood. He managed to get a good job and having a mentor in Sage’s dad along the way. His world is thrown when he is let go for embezzlement at his job. He finds himself in the position of doing to regain what he had.

The chemistry between them is electric as they spend time together. He tells her that she is just a pampered princess and that her fiancé is cheating with her supposed best friend which she refuses to believe.

This is a case of falling for your capture and vica versa. We are drawn into their relationship and how they eventually come together.

I really enjoyed this book.

Ransom is a story of Revenge, Lynkin has lost everything because of Mr Donovan not being able to get another job Lynkin decides to kidnap Sage Mr Donovan's daughter.

Lynkin hasn't thought things through properly and is quite taken on how this kidnapping turns out.

Sage is a selfish person only considering herself, oh the joys of being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. But sage has a wake up call when she is kidnapped.

This story is romantic, sexual, listening to others and finding oneself. There are some twists and turns that keeps you gripped.

The characters worked well and I really liked both of them.

A must read

I really enjoyed Lynkin and Sage's story. Sage is the daughter of a very well known rich businessman. She is really unaware just how empty her life is. That is until she is taken by Lynkin. Lynkin is a hard worker who got the short end of the stick at work. It turns his world upside down. But that doesn't compare to how much Sage changes his world. The journey these two embark on together may very well lead them to happiness neither of them could have dreamed of. But evil lurks around the corner and could destroy them both! Very well written and I highly recommend!

Do you ever find yourself loving a book and then thinking it's so wrong to like it? Well that was me after reading this. Attraction between a hostage and a kidnapper. Really? Heck yes and that's why I read fiction.

After being fired from his dream job for something he didn't do Lynkin is so angry that he ends up kidnapping his bosses daughter, Sage. Spending time together they both feel an attraction. With twists and turns I found this to be a really good page turner for me. I'll certainly be re-reading it. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

I enjoyed this story! I loved the dialogue and instant attraction between Sage and Lynkin. These two were definitely made for each other, whatever it took to get them together. Sage was a woman in desperate need of a rude awakening, and sexy Lynkin did more than open her eyes. It was interesting to see Lynkin make his way into Sage's heart, and he hers in return. This was a fun and intriguing read and I highly recommend it to others!

Incredible story how one man's desperate attempt for revenge results in turning his world upside down. The biggest changes are in Sage's perception of true reality. I enjoyed watching Lynkin as he struggles with his uncertainty about his rash act of kidnapping the daughter of his former boss. But the greatest entertainment was watching a spoiled, snobbish little rich girl evolve into a compassionate, self sacrificing woman with clear eyes and a strong loving heart. At the beginning of the story, one begins with what appears to be a "bad guy" in a misguided act. As the story unfolds, secrets, lies and threats rise to the surface and Truth rings loud and clear. All the pieces to the puzzle begin to fall into place and a beautiful love story is born.

I really enjoyed this book. It was different, and we all know I like books that stand out.

The characters in the book were PERFECT! They were perfectly portrayed and their chemistry was spot-on! I really wanted to dislike Lynkin, but I just couldn't. How could you not?

I thought the whole idea of being kidnapped then falling for your captor would be cliche', but it was much more than that. Both Sage and Lynkin learned a lot about themselves and each other and the people that surrounded them. Masks came of, so to speak, and everyone was seen for who they really were in the end.

There were a few parts of the book that felt, corny or forced, but overall, this was a good read. I had no trouble reading it from start to finish.

Lynkin thinks he has lost everything and thinks his only option to get the money he needs to help his Mum is to kidnap the daughter of his former Boss and person responsible for his circumstances.

Sage has everything in life she could ever want and says she's happy, but is she? Captured and held by Lynkin, she starts to see things differently, especially after the demands for her release are not met.

What will happen to Sage and Lynkin now the money is off the table and feelings between to two have progressed to something more?

The book is written in the POV of both the main characters, which is a feature I enjoy when reading.
