A collection of short stories, poems and a couple of the authors own drawings are wrapped up all in one in this heart felt novel that will tug a tear while uplifting the spirit.
Health problems hit, but now with book #100 out, I am looking forward to my retirement. I am not only an avid writer, but an avid reader. I am constantly with a book, whether writing my own or reading someone else's, I am always looking for a new journey and believe that with books and a vivid imagination, anything is possible. I love and thank the readers who bring the stories to life. Thanks for what you add to the books. Your imaginations, added to my own, complete the stories. This journey has been amazing. Thanks, family, friends, and amazing readers
Every author should write a little poetry, whether it is haiku, or rhyming, or free verse, really every person has some poetry within their heart. This short book is filled with small poems, free verse, giving the author new admiration in the eyes of this reader. In addition there are a number of short stories, only a few pages long with developed characters and speaking of ideas which have import. Some are sad. Some are hopeful. One offers caution to all parents. A short story is difficult. One cannot spend a lot of time fleshing out the characters, nor the story itself. The author has done an excellent job of making the short stories enjoyable reading. And isn't that the purpose of writing, after all is said and done? I certainly think so and I believe this author does as well. A good read, well worth the time.
Heartfelts could just as easily have been called "A Slice of Life." Pamela Winn captures moments in life and lets us share in their joy and pain. The lovely cover would lead one to believe that the book is all hearts and flowers, but it definitely is not. The short stories have real characters who experience the pain of loss of betrayal. The poetry is outstanding. This book is a gift from the author's heart.
HEARTFELTS is a thoughtful short story and poetry collection which explores the themes of women, family and identity in an easy to read, stimulating, and interesting format. The author shows great prowess with both fiction and poetry, and this is a book which makes the reader ponder issues about humanity which too often are not seen in depth, but are explored well in this book.
Compassionate and truly heartfelt - a selection of short stories and poems that speak volumes beyond their length - a touching book filled with hope, love, strength, and a deep understanding of life's tragedies - words that will your spirit with a tear and a smile.
This book is exactly what the title suggests. It is a conglomeration of stories and poems that touched my heart in a big way. Be sure to grab a tissue when you read it. The book is filled with surprises and heart wrenching stories.
Heartfelts is another excellent book by P.S.Winn. The poem, “to a memory” is deep and poignant. “Free to Live Again” is also deep, after a tragic car crash with different losses and forgiveness. There are stories about marriage, loss, kidnapping, and more. It’s a fast read. Well done!
This uplifting collection of short stories warms the readers heart, along with the poems and a couple of the author's own artwork makes this a novel to keep around
