It's no secret I love this series and have been waiting (impatiently) for the final book. I wouldn't recommend reading Reclamation without reading the first two as it won't make much sense - also I wouldn't read this review unless you've read them as I couldn't help referring to previous events.
Reclamation pics up the action right from Taken Over. The surviving humans are either on the run from the vicious aliens like our group or in hiding. Bethany 'Bethy' is coming to turns with Cade's revelation and is learning to cope with her 'changes'.
I love Bethy and Cade together and was terrified how Erica was going to finish their story. My biggest fear was a 'for-the-greater-good' death or another Divergent style sacrifice. I'm not going to tell you who survives or doesn't but I was very happy with how Erica tied everything together (mostly).
What I've always liked about this series is how the classic alien sci-fi elements are all there (with a twist), as is the YA angst and drama. BUT the character's never fall into the Twilight victim trap (yes Bella I mean you). There are some similarities to The Host but Reclamation has a very different style and ending.
We get a few chapter's in Cade's POV this time, which was a real treat, as he's always been pretty mysterious. It was interesting to see both Cade and Bethany change, albeit in different ways. The secondary character's such as Aiden and Lloyd get more page time in Reclamation and we meet some very interesting new characters.
A wonderful conclusion to one of my fav YA series, but have the tissues ready (I cried more than I expected)! I would have liked the final few chapters to have been a bit longer and the ending more developed, but then perhaps it's just me being greedy.
I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever, and let me tell you it was well worth the wait! Erica finished this series off nicely. This book was heartbreaking, action packed but ended nicely. I loved Cade and Bethany's story, and will miss them. This has been one of my favorite series by this author. She brings you in and holds you captivated with these characters. I can't wait to see what see what she will write next. If you haven't read this series, pick it up.. It's a must read!
This book was wonderful and the series as a while was amazing!! I am not one of those people that punishes themselves by having to finish reading anything I start, if it's bad, or boring, or just plain terrible I erase it and start something else, but this book was even better than the first or second. This series was good from start to finish with plenty of action, and since the author does an amazing job of making you feel connected to the characters, you also run through a gauntlet of emotions. I have never read this author before, but I know without a doubt I will read her work again!! To the author Erica Stevens, your imagination is awsome, keep writing and I will definitely keep reading AND recommending your books!!
Warning: Have a box of tissues handy while reading this book. I just finished the 3rd & last book in the Reclamation series. This has shot to the top of my list of favorite series ever! The ending was perfect, and the Author, Erica Stevens, really knows how to build the suspense. I both wanted to read every word and skip ahead because I just HAD to see what happens. (I read every word.) The story was very well written; it was believable, there were no holes in the story, the action was superb, and the characters were fleshed out (personalities, thought processes, actions, etc.) This May be too intense for pre-teens, but I very highly recommend this series to anyone & everyone else.
This series has great characters, an exciting plot/story line, and is easy to read. I think I finished book two in one day, which also means it’s hard to put down. I’m not usually into books dealing with aliens, but this was a great series with aliens, family, love, death, and was just exciting to read. Definitely recommend!
This series has been an emotional journey. Reclamation was a fantastic conclusion. I loved it. Aliens and humans working together all for the love of their soul mate.
I read the first book in this trilogy and went on to buy the trilogy as I was quite taken with the characters. I hope you enjoy this take on Aliens taking over the world as much as I did. Many thanks to the author.
This was such a amazing and interesting series! The plot was great and will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was a really clean book, few curse words , kissing, and mentions of sex but nothing more than that really.
This series was a very nice surprise. I was not familiar with this author, but like the genre, so I gave it a try. I didn’t want to put it down once I started! Great word visuals. Heart raced with all of the excitement!
Wow what an ending to the series. I have to honestly say reading the other two books I never imagined that this is the way that it would end. So much sadness yet hope and love was never lost.

Bethany now knew what was so special about her surviving the first wave of the Alien attack. Her blood was not type O like all of the other survivors that surrounded her, but she knew why Cade had to do what he did. Why he had to try everything in his power to be sure she did not become one of the Frozen who were drained dry by those monsters. But no one else can know, they wouldn't understand.
Their trek continues as they try to find more survivors while running from monsters the Aliens have leashed to corner and torture the remaining human population. Cade struggles to be so close to Bethany as their bond and his desires run strong. Tension grows between them and they cannot deny their love to one another.
Running into a group of survivors puts Cade on edge...
"People" Aiden whispered "NO!" Cade hissed. "Not all of them"
Cade knows what must be done to ensure they put a stop to the Aliens. He knows what he must do keep Bethany safe; even if it means he dies.
I LOVED this book and was sad to see another series end but with the end of one series a new one begins. Cade and Bethany's story is an emotional one!

Reclamation is the conclusion to the Ravening series by Erica Stevens. The last novel left you wondering exactly what was going to happen, and the book description for this final installment certainly drew me in. The cover on the other hand, didn't. The cover looked too much like the first cover in the series for me to be drawn in from it. I also noticed the matching rips in the jeans and the muted background. It just didn't compare to the second cover in the series that really showed the story--this didn't draw me in, and it didn't feel like it told anything about the story. The plot of the story continued to be original and the description was less of a burden than the previous novels; however, the "twilight-ish" similarities that I saw in Taken Over continued into Reclamation. The Cullens feed on animals deer, bears and Bella first feeds on a cougar. Here Cade catches a cougar for Bethy to feed on. It's a bit too familiar for me. The rest of the story has a great pace, with the few hiccups of a bit more simile use than in the previous novels. The increase of similes and the decrease in overly descriptive scenes balanced out for a middle range of show not tell similar to the other novels. Overall, this novel will have you on the edge of your seat for most of it, praying for a good ending for the other parts and cringing for quite some time. The ending felt a bit abrupt for me, but it doesn't leave you hanging and you feel closure for the characters involved.
I loved this book. I really enjoyed the first two, but this was the best by far for me.
I was hoping for a new direction in this final instalment and I certainly got what I was looking for. The relationship between Bethany and Cade ratcheted up a level after the revelations of book 2 and for me, this made the book a lot more compulsive. Cade became ever more fascinating the more I found out about him and the more he developed through his connection with Bethany.
But that isn’t the only surprise this book has up its sleeve. The story takes a dramatic and unexpected turn which allows the characters to go on the offensive and fight for the life they want. This extended plot brought a new level of excitement to the action and a wonderfully dramatic resolution.
I would definitely recommend this book, but only after reading books one and two first. It’s a great series!
Well what to say. I loved it. I wasn't sure about this series when I initially started to read it but I soon felt myself being dragged into Bethany's world. It was easy to see her and Cade's connection and you couldn't help but feel emotionally involved with their lives and relationship. This book had lots of twists and turns and all questions answered but I also felt the loss of characters who made this series feel real. Although sad events occur a HEA may be on the cards for some characters. I would recommend this series even if it's not your usual read, I wasn't disappointed.
Cade and Bethany continue moving in order to stay safe. They come across another group of survivors and they are a combination of humans and aliens who have banded together to defeat the invading aliens. I like the way Erica Stevens made the characters make a choice to separate even though they may not want to. Divide and conquer. This final book in the Ravening series made me nervous, happy, and sad. So much happens in this one, its a great ending. Thoroughly enjoyed. This book was better than the first and second book. It was awesome to finally see who the aliens were. Nice plot twist on revealing who Cade's parents are. The Ancients are pretty evil people. The only problem with the book was the mystery was only revealed for a short time and then suddenly we have the big battle. The revealing of who the Tilagians were should have been introduced earlier in the second book instead of this "mysterious alien" race. Otherwise, nice conclusion. I loved the story. Action, romance, and suspense, and of course ALIENS!

WOW!!! I read it in one day because I was unable to put it down! This series was fantastic, and although I'm very very sad (and teary) that it is over, it was a great ending. Thank you Erica Stevens for another AMAZING story!!! I loved the characters and hate that it's over - but isn't that a sign of a fantastic book? When you'll miss the characters ... A wonderful ending to an awesome story!
Incredible. I love this. I'm the type that rereads books over and over if I love them. I don't really know what to say. I just had to write this review and tell you how much I loved this series and this book especially. I cried and was on the verge of having to get up and pace during intense moments and fights. I had so many feels. I want to cry because its over. The epilogue is perfect though. The conclusion was epic. You will not be disappointed!
Cade oh how I love thee, this is what I've been waiting for , so long . this was a great read everthing that I hoped it wold be . Bethy was great and the other characters too. I'm glad that we got to see a little more int Cade's past and a little into the future. I had a huge smile on my face when I read the last of this book.
Devoured this series and loved it. Fast and simple and love that it's a short series but still no element is left out. It's fully complete and I'm quite happy I stumbled onto this series. Which I'm surprised I just now found it!
A great YA series for all ages. What not to love about it? It has everything in it. Plus nothing beats a great alien themed story <3
This series started off terrible but I thought the third book was better than the first two. The books were short, quick reads which is primarily why I continued reading. As the plot developed the series became very reminiscent of the Twilight series (in a bad, bad, cheesy way), but I did like the sci-fi elements of the plot.
