Librarian's note: This is an alternate cover edition for ISBN13 9781483978482.

In this second installment of Falcon Lord, a series of Steampunk Fantasy Novels, Brighton Aviamore is faced with an onslaught of new challenges. After defeating Dredgemont's army, the citizens of Valkyrie were left with the damage caused by the tyrant's mining operation—an extensive tunnel system that has undermined Perpetua and is causing her mountains to collapse daily. Brighton Aviamore, Falcon Lord and Sky Sheriff, sets out with Willowmena to recover the lost maps which will help the Valkyrians restore the island's stability. Though Dredgemont was killed, Croatius, a half demon, half gorpe fiend, has taken his place and assembled an even greater fighting force to conquer the Lost Isle. He captures Willowmena and threatens to kill her if Brighton doesn't find and turn over the maps that are hidden in Dredgemont's Sorcerer's Chest. But when Brighton becomes lost in the underworld, he discovers Dredgemont's ghost is alive and well. Battling the mad wraith and his bevy of demons, Brighton loses the chest and escapes. He learns that Willowmena is missing, and Croatius has launched an all-out invasion with airships and an army of monsters. If things weren't bad enough, a gargantuan beast rises from the depths of the sea to destroy both sides for disrupting the harmony of the Earth. Falcon Lord's plans to marry Willowmena will be thwarted for good unless he can restore peace to Perpetua.

LIGHTMASTERS ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
“Our mission is to bring greater awareness to the Beauty of our World.”

Founded in 1995 by author, painter, and award-winning filmmaker, D. A. Metrov, Lightmasters Arts & Entertainment is dedicated to creating art—film, literature, and paintings—that raise awareness of the beauty in our world. We believe that heightened awareness of beauty leads to a greater appreciation of our environment. Greater appreciation of our environment inspires more action to preserve and protect it. More positive action leads to less destruction, less waste, less toxicity, less disease, less expense, the sum of which results in GREATER PEACE, HEALTH, & PROSPERITY FOR ALL.

D. A. Metrov attended UCLA film school then moved to New York City where he worked for ten years as an illustrator, graphic designer, and fine arts painter. Early on, he became a member of world-renowned Push Pin Studios, joining the only group of graphic artists to ever exhibit in the Paris, Louvre. Taking sabbatical in Rome, Italy, Metrov studied the oil painting techniques of Renaissance Masters. Returning to New York, he became a sought-after portrait artist for New York celebrities such as Margaux Hemmingway and Ben Vereen. His fine art paintings now reside in prominent collections worldwide. Metrov returned to film when he collaborated on several projects with Abel Ferrara, one of New York’s preeminent underground filmmakers.

Inspired by the early works of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, Metrov wrote SOLARBABIES, a futuristic, action-adventure movie for young adults. He partnered with Mark Johnson (who went on to win the Academy Award for RAIN MAN), and sold the project to Mel Brooks (Academy Award winner of THE PRODUCERS). SOLARBABIES is still in distribution by MGM.

Some of Metrov's writing mentors have been Menno Meyjes (Academy Award nominee for THE COLOR PURPLE), Walon Green (acclaimed writer of THE WILD BUNCH), and Bruce Joel Rubin (Academy Award winning writer of GHOST). Metrov's first agent was Jack Rapke, head of the Motion Picture Department of the Creative Artists Agency, now producer for Robert Zemeckis (Academy Award winning director of FORREST GUMP).

Metrov has authored numerous screenplays and novels. He has written, produced, and directed two feature films, DARK SPIRAL and LITTLE EDEN, as well as several short films, including award-winning, EPHEMORA. His novels, among them the FALCON LORD series, THE TERRIBLE QUEST OF THADDEUS PENNYBROOK'S KNEE-HIGH STEAMBOTS, ANATOMY OF A WEREWOLF, and MACHINE OF GOD, can be purchased on Amazon.com and Smashwords. At the same time, he has managed to continue producing fine art paintings and prints.

Metrov has multiple novel, graphic novel, and motion picture projects in development, most currently, the GODDESS films, comprised of the short and feature-length versions of an allegorical story that pays homage to Planet Earth. Metrov has been represented by top literary agents in both Los Angeles and New York City.

D. A. Metrov currently resides in Santa Barbara, California with his wife Maureen O’Brien, a Doctor of Pharmacy, and one fearless, rodent-hunting feline named after the River Ganges.

I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway.

Restoration (Falcon Lord #2) was my first ever Steampunk genre that I read, and I enjoyed the book immensely. It was different from what I was expecting but in a unique and interesting way. I highly recommend this book for those who have a love or are interested in the Steampunk genre.
