Starting where the author left off in the last book we as readers get into the minds of the members of this secret society. I like how Abby shows the duality of people. These men are prim, proper, and important on the outside, but they are disgusting and filthy on the inside. Those men are willing to live out their fantasies on someone they can control and doesn't know any better.
Lacey now has a purpose and a stake in this assignment. It's not about exposing some important men she had no contact with. Now she has to expose these men who are mistreating her and her friends. She just can't let these so called men get away with such injustice.
The best thing I noticed about this story is the budding romance between Lacey and Jason. She is finding something worth opening up for. Out of all the crap in this story something beautiful could grow out of it. Jason is the perfect man for this story. He accepts Lacey for exactly who she is. I loved reading the love scene between them. I could feel the emotion in every line. I just kept wanting more and see the growth in their relationship.

In this episode of A Call Girl Fantasy we find Chloe and Lacey being harshly treated in the Club. Lacey gets the name of a very important city politician but she also runs into the harsh Lally who had mistreated her in her first visit to the club. Lacey has the feeling that she has been held prisoner after her release the next day. She and Chloe have some time together and then she calls Gretchen and tells her that she will stay on the assignment instead of being pulled out.
Lacey reconnects with Jason and she is relieved to find that he accepts her for what she is and is probably falling in love with her. After a night in his apartment this episode ends, but it leaves me with a question. Will Lacey have the fortitude to get the story that she was sent in to get and will she be saved by Jason? I am looking forward to the 4th installment. An excellent read.

This has been a difficult and dark story, but in this book #3 I feel that Lacey has finally found some peace with her life. At least for a few hours. She has had such a hard life it's good to see her getting something positive for a change. There is a lot of repetitive information about her younger years that I didn't think was necessary. To bring out all the emotions that I have felt reading this series tells me that Abby Weeks is a good writer.
