How far must Rachel go to win back Jonathan’s trust, and protect the men she has grown to love?
DISCLAIMER:
Ginger Voight turns up the angst in this series with a hot triangle between two very different and very appealing brothers. Who will get their HEA? And which one will pay the ultimate price for love?
Those who can't abide triangles, cheaters, cliffhangers or tragedies, are encouraged to proceed with caution.
WARNING: Adult content. Material intended for readers over 18.
Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.
Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.
In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.
In 2011, she embarked on a new journey—to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These "Rubenesque" romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the "reality-TV" preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.
Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they'll never forget.
You know what. In the middle of this book I was sure this was going to be a 5 star book. But I ended up giving up a few pages from the end. Yes, you can do that (and it says a lot). And now I feel so annoyed of all the hours I've wasted. A stupid CLICHÉ. And a really weak heroine who kept hurting people around her while she presented to care about the children. I'm sorry, but I feel so disappointed right now.
I was actually a little upset after I read this one. I literally threw my kindle across my bed and raged to my poor husband about how stupid she was being. I am going to read the third one to see how it ends, but seriously, .
At the end of book #1 we learn that Drew hired her solely to use her past loss and life against her to make her fall for him, to screw over his ex wife, his brother and gain full custody of his son. Engagement off, Rachel heads back to TX.
Months later Alex shows up at her door. Jonathan has fallen. Bad grades, acting out, drugs. He begs her to help save him. She goes, she helps out bringing him back...but in process now falls for Alex. Just when you think she has the love of her life the proverbial sh*t hits the fan and everyones life is in upheaval.
I really love this authors style and story telling this is like a 3.5 for me because in this book I hated the hero, the heroine, the brother of the hero. I loved Rachel in book one she came off as a strong heroine. Loving, caring, strong, great teacher and naturer. This book she was a fool who lusted after brothers then was stunned she was judged. Alex showed less being a dick but still wasnt likable and Drew is still worse then book one.
Note: If you have not read Enticed then please do not read any further as there may be spoilers that could ruin the story for you. You definitely need to read Enticed before Entangled.
“People leave. People break promises. People make mistakes.”
Entangled picks up right where Enticed left off. Rachel is on her way back to LA to help take care of Jonathan who is spiraling out of control. Alex thinks the only one who can help him is Rachel. If Rachel thinks this will be a walk in the park, she has another thing coming.
“What are you going to do about it? Leave again? Break another one of your promises? F*ck Alex this time instead of my dad?”
Jonathan proves to be quite a challenge in this book. He’s angry, hurt, bitter and doesn’t know how to handle it so he rebels. Will Rachel be able to get through to him before he hurts himself? Or will someone else end up getting hurt in the process?
“Matters of the heart are…complicated.”
As soon as Drew finds out that Rachel is back he goes to see her. And even though he has moved on with Olivia Guest, he still wants Rachel back. He thinks she’s the perfect fit for him and Jonathan. Does he love her? Ehh maybe in his own way but I don’t know if he’s truly capable of loving her the way she should be. He’s all about money, power and what will make him look better in the public eye. Rachel is determined that she’ll never go down that road again.
“Alex is no substitute.”
“Then what is he?”
“What you could been.”
Alex has done a complete 180 from the first book and there’s no way you cannot adore him. Rachel and Alex slowly seek comfort in one another and their love affair begins. For the time being they need to keep it a secret in fear of Jonathan retaliating. However, Alex is reluctant and never truly believes that Rachel is done with Drew.
“He’s always going to be between us, isn’t he?”
Even though Rachel knows that Drew is toxic she can’t deny to herself that she’s still in love with him.
“We made a mess.”
“We certainly did.”
Oh what a tangled web we weave!! Ginger Voight certainly brings on the angst in this book. I was screaming and crying while my heart was breaking. Devastated is an understatement. You would think that I was the one betrayed. I’m surprised my Kindle is still working right now. I was ready to break it into a million pieces then burn it.
“Take a deep breath.”
I’m trying too! Just thinking about it gets me worked up all over again!! The fact that Ginger can bring these emotions out of me means that it truly is a good book. Whether I’m happy with the ending or not doesn’t matter because I truly believe certain people got what they deserved.
“Life is a game.”
“Don’t you want to play it with a winner?”
Now I’m impatiently waiting for book 3 but at least I know who Rachel picks at the end of this one!!! NOPE!! I’m not telling you!! You definitely need to read this and find out for yourself!!
“So you see, Jonathan, there are some things love can’t forgive.”
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I can't express how much I love this series. 5 stars does NOT give this book justice.
Everyone has that 1 author that is an "automatic buy" and Ginger Voight is that author for me. I love a book that makes me feel every emotion that the characters do. I just don't read the book, I reside in the story, and that's exactly how I felt with Entangled.
I have the ARC of Enraptured but I'm scared to death to read it! There was a sneak peak in the back of book 2 and I couldn't even read it. I'm not ready for this series to end. I'm invested in each character. I have a love/hate relationship with each Fullerton brother. I wanted to smack Drew so many times it wasn't even funny. While I adored Alex, I got frustrated with him as well. They exchanged roles from book 1. I wanted to strangle Alex and loved Drew in Enticed.
I'm still sitting here trying to get my heart rate to even out!! Gah!!! I wanna scream to everyone "READ THIS BOOK!!!"
The fact that she was allowing Johnathon's family to run riot and ruin that poor boy's life just really started to piss me off a lot more in this book. I don't think it helped that she ran right into the other brother's arms as soon as she found out that she had been betrayed. To top it off, she still wanted to get back with the brother that stabbed her in the back! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving people second chances, but I don't understand how you can possibly forgive someone, let alone want to jump back in bed with them, when they are so manipulative and calculating. In the first book, she finds out that he purposely gave her this job because she was a bigger lady, her 5-year old son had died, and she has no family. Yet she still loves this dick? URGH! GROW A PAIR WOMAN!
Omg! Is all I can say! Ginger is the queen of angst..... And I am anxiously awaiting book 3! I don't know if it is good or bad that I had an ARC of this book and now have to wait!
Rachel annoyed THE HELL out of me. Truthfully Alex annoyed me in book 1, but he had his redeeming qualities in book 2. I may be in the minority here, but I hated Drew and I truthfully hated the ending of this book. I expected it, but hated it all the same.
I don't know how I feel about this book. One moment I'm cheering the heroine on & the next I want to punch her in the face. I hate wishy washy characters. Cause it makes me wishy washy. I think I know who she'll end up with... I think. :/
A complete waste of money and time! The h is a pining floormat, a selfish annoying Bitxh and a cheating hoe to top it all! I could tolerate stupidity but cheating is a huge NO NO NOOO, ESPECIALLY ones that happen at 80% mark and end with a surprise baby!!!! Gahh I can't stomache reading anything for the following weeks this made me sooo maaad

Entangled (Fullerton Family Saga #2) by Ginger Voight 4 stars!!!
“If it’s right, it’s worth waiting for.”
This book begins where Enticed left off, after Drew’s betrayal, Rachel has gone back to Texas. Jonathan does not take her desertion very well and changes as a child. He has become disobedient, withdrawn and angry and the family are extremely worried about his well-being. It takes a lot of humble pie but Alex goes to Texas to bring Rachel back. Jonathan needs her and no matter what, Jonathan comes first. Alex knows that Rachel sees Jonathan as her own and he uses her feelings to get her to capitulate and go back with him to California. He says that she can stay on his ranch so that she does not have to interact with Drew if she doesn’t want to.
Despite everything that has happened, although my first team is TEAM JONATHAN, as far as the love story goes I am TEAM DREW. As much as I love Alex (and I do a lot!) I just feel that Drew really truly loves Rachel in his own way. Drew has never really been shown love at all, he struggles with this emotion and whilst he goes all about it the wrong way, I do feel that for once, what he feels is honest to goodness love. He just needs to learn to show it a bit better!
I love the way that this book centres around Jonathan, Rachel and Alex. You do get to see another side to Alex and this will open your heart to the other Fullerton brother. It seems that Rachel has her work cut out surrounded by all these Fullerton men.
“After all, I am the one that got her to come back to California. And I did it without lying to her about why I wanted her here. Score one for honesty.”
“Please,” Drew sneered. “You know the only reason you want her is because I do. You have to wreck this like you wreck everything else, because you're jealous of me and you always have been.”
It does seem that there is a unhealthy competition between Alex and Drew and we are treated to little snippets of information throughout the story about their back ground and history. It takes a great author to have you fall in love with both protagonists and that is what Ginger Voight managed to do to me. At one point I was completely torn, I hated her with a vengeance. I was screaming at my kindle and crying like a baby. I know a lot of people may have an issue with a woman playing ping pong between two brothers but it was not like that at all. Yes I did get angry, yes at times I was confused but to a certain extent you could sympathise. However, fate has a way of dealing hands where you least expect it and that is no different in this book. Talk about pull the wool over your eyes and the rug from under your feet.
What can I say, as much as I would love to go into the finer details and the nitty gritty’s I can’t, it would spoil it for you. I cannot wait to see where this story is going to go. No matter what team you are on you will be chomping at the bit for book 3 and that is not too far away, only a few more days! It took an all evening and all-nighter to read the first two instalments of this book and I am extremely lucky that I have book 3 sitting here waiting for me to devour, so I will sign off now as I have a date with Enraptured.
“I know you want me. I feel it in the way you tremble. I’ve felt you tremble like this before, remember? I told you then that you would always be mine. And you know it’s true. Your body responds to my touch like a slave to its master.”
MY THOUGHTS~ I chose to purchase and read this book (twice actually) because I fell in love with all the characters in the first book, Enticed. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover. I could not put it down (even the second time)! The heroine confused me from time to time and actually had me completely switching teams throughout the whole thing! That definitely held my attention and interest. I have absolutely no complaints about this book or the series so far, for that matter. I just wish the last one was already out! I really cannot wait to continue this story. The author did of beautiful job! It was very well written and the characters are very well developed. I feel like I actually know these people!! Well done once again Ginger Voight! Well done!
I had the honor of receiving an arc for a honest review....
Again, Ginger Voight did not disappoint me!
As I've said in my review for the previous book, this series is very near and dear to my heart! Rachel has dealt with a lot in the face of heartache, pain, and betrayal.
Just when she thinks she's finally found what she needs, there are more obstacles to face and stand in the way of her true love.
Jonathan in this book was a completely different child. Angry, mean, disrespectful, disobedient, vengeful...you name it, he showed it! Until a near tragedy takes away more than he bargained for.
The roles his parents play in his life are just completely dreadful! I want to take both of them and bash their heads in!
Max, oh Max! I adore this child! He's such a breath of fresh air! The sweetest little thing! I want him!
I loved this book! I laughed, I cried (like ugly, sobbing, snotty tears!) I can't wait for everyone to read this! I highly highly recommend 5+++++++++++ stars!
Alex shows us a completely different side and you really fall in love with him...
Drew us more of a douche than ever...but I still have faith in him!
Who will Rachel ultimately choose? Well, I won't tell!
Again, this book left me utterly speechless, I can't even begin to describe the emotional turmoil I'm currently feeling about this books. This is the ULTIMATE love triangle, with not 3 but 4 hearts involved. Get out your tissues....
After the first book I was surprised she would leave the kid and then return. Surprised the kid in 3 months started getting into drugs at 10 years of age!!
What parent stands by and let's that happen. What judge allows that parent to have sole custody? It was all such a mess that I decided to let reality go and keep reading.
Then the heroine ends up living with the brother a contrivance I still can't work out. The arrangement all along should have been what was decided at the halfway point A PLACE OF HER OWN, right? So, when she gets a place of her own we are to believe it's to strengthen her relationship with Alex so she can eventually tell the boy she has decided to be with the uncle. However, at this point I still can't believe she feels that strongly about Alex.
Even when she started their intimate relationship I didn't feel anything except a heroine who can't be on her own. She went from a closed off strong character that wouldn't be burned by men in book one to a weak kneed jump into bed with two brothers in book two.
I dislike character transplants like this. I believe Alex feel what he does but I don't see how she can feel this way in such a short period of time being the person she was portrayed as being in the last book. So when events unfold she is where she should be.
Does Drew love her? Does she love Drew? The only thing we know is they love the boy and he loves them. The Olivia thing? Who would do that?
Well I'm off to read book three cause I have a feeling the triangle will become a line.

How can a book be completely ruined in about 5 minutes?!!? I cannot understand. At first i thought this was a really great book, probably 4.5 stars, but when it came to the end I realized that the whole plot was complete SHIT. The protagonist just kept making stupid mistakes that were the complete opposite with what she was thinking, and it got to the point where it annoyed the hell out of me. Both boys dissapointed me a lot, actually everyone in this book dissapointed me, exept max. I cannot read the last book of this series. These books are not for everyone, though I’m sure there are people who really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them...
Rachel has been devastated by the news that Drew sought out a person just like herself to tutor his son. She has gone back to Texas and has no plans to ever return. That is until one day Alex Fullerton arrives on her doorstep to tell her how bad Jonathan has become without her guidance. Soon she becomes a member of the household at Alex's ranch where she continues to try to make some connection once again with the young boy she loved and broke her promise to. She told him she would never leave him, and he feels betrayed. But once again she finds herself falling for another Fullerton man. Complications arise.
A great continuation of the Fullerton Family Saga. The story is strong, the characters are well developed and the overall story flows nicely. My only problem is the lack of editing. Enticed also had editing issues and I really hoped this one would be better. I'll read the last book in this series because I have to know how it ends. Overall I love story and characters, but the lack of editing is a problem for me.
DNF this soap opera! The unwanted baby of Gossip girl and The young and the restless.
The way they lack moral values and responsability, the mockery of the most important relationships you can have in this life made me hate (almost) every adult character. So sad! I gave 4.5 stars to the first book. Not going to finish the series.
This is my 2nd book by Ginger Voight and though there were some parts of the story that I didn't like that much, I understood the decisions made by both Alex and Rachel. This instalment showed more of Drew and I seriously felt for him even more.
Still as gripping and emotional as the first instalment.
3 stars Drama and even more drama. Actually, it would be pretty hard to find more ways to put more drama into this book; It has enough ups and downs to give permanent whiplash. This is why I can't stand love triangles they make it so I end up hating everyone involved. I couldn't stand Rachel in this book she went from sympathetic strong but broken main character to someone completely unlikable. I really hope the next book cleans up some of the mess this one created, I will wait til I read the entire series before I make a full judgment on this saga. Some parts were enjoyable but that end was a mess!
Oh My God. Ms Voight. Messy, messy, messy! This author can’t help herself and I can see why she so popular. It’s like an episode of Real Housewives mixed with the Kardashian and a sprinkle of Love Island. Just a hot mess! But as I’ve stated previously with Groupie, addictive AF!
