Wow ... FINALLY!! I loved this novella of Garrett and Emma's story. It cleared a lot of the references made to their ♥ story in the other novels in the series. Garrett and Emma are so adorable and I enjoyed reading a novel in this time period. It was a change and Kelly Elliott nailed the language, the characters, and the story. I laughed and oh the TEARS ... there hasn't been a dry eye while reading a novel by the talented Kelly Elliott! Nevertheless, a beautiful FOREVER LOVE story! They were so ment to be together despite playing hard to get, denying their feelings, and the obstacles they come to face.

“Now, here is the big one—write her a letter.” I pulled my head back and looked at him with a confused expression. “A letter? What kind of letter?” He smiled a crooked smile. “A letter telling her how you’ve felt—from the moment she told you she was having your child to watching her belly grow, and most of all, to holding your child in your arms for the first time. Write it down while it is fresh in your memory, son. Then, after you get home, when it feels like the right time, you give her that letter. Take the baby and go for a walk, so she has some time alone when she reads it.”
Sweet right???? I KNOW ... the whole book is like this though!!! Hey I love sweet guys as much as the next girl but this was like unreal sweet like there is no way on Gods green earth there are people that are this sweet in real life ... nope no way!! I just got kind of to the point where it felt cheesy. I like Gram and Gramps in the other books a ton... but there story is just a wee bit too sugary for me. That said it wasn't all bad ... although some of the stuff they said didn't seem right for the time period but alas I did like some parts of it.... the steam of course was typical Kelly Elliott steamy so she gets props for that. :)

This is the very first Kelly Elliott novel that I have rated with 3 stars... it's usually 4 or 5, but this one? it was.. okay.
I was excited to read Grams and Gramps story. Around 50%, I got bored, I mean, they're together and I think their 'lovely words' were too cheezy, seriously. It was sickening already.
I was laughing about the rattlesnake incident when all of a sudden, I remember...the other character that made me laugh in this series....MATT! The muddafuckin' cowboy!!
At 70%, the story became flat, there's no excitement. I never Imagined I would say that in any of K.E's novel.
The story's quite light, compared to the other novel from the series.
I was waiting for a BANG! moment, and I thought that when Emma got jealous and Garrett was about to leave, that he would really leave and something would happen to Emma, but..nada, she called him and came running to her and everything was good.. blah blah blah...

I simply adored this book. Garrett and Emma are what people wish they can have. There romance is unbelievably beautiful. The way they meet there struggles and there happiness will make you melt. I wish I had read this book sooner. I loved it.

I have loved the Wanted series since the beginning, loved reading all about their individual stories, and how they all were connected one way or another!
I have loved how Gran and Gramps have been an integral part of each of the Wanted stories, being the linchpin throughout!
It has been great growing up with Emma and Garrett, how their love blossomed, how you actually felt the attraction even coming through the kindle!
Their drams's were all dealt with in the most incredible way, who each of the characters leaned on the other for love and support, Kelly does a grand job with the inclusion of important characters alongside the main characters.
I loved how significant the Oak tree was and is in the other books, not to mention the quilt.
You certainly saw how Gunner became so romantic, and how the romance rubbed off onto the other boys, Jeff, Josh, Brad, Scott.
With Gran and Gramps story the wedding and birthing scenes were so heartfelt, such emotion.
Dont really want the series to end, but I guess all good things come to an end sooner or later!

Where is the storyline in this book? The only constant is all the crying and that’s just the men! I mean, they are just so wet. I love a good romance but this just left me rolling my eyes. it was just too sugary sweet. And the girls - they live to (SPOILER ALERT!) get married and pop out kids. That’s all they think of and talk about. I was just waiting for something to happen cos it all just went a bit flat and I got bored. I question the time period as well, several references seemed to contradict what time period it actually came from. This series has been a real struggle but try as I will to finish it.

I enjoyed this one as another installment of Kelly's Wanted series.
My main issue with some of her books and this one is continuity of the story. The extra novella's and this one where written after the main series and I've noticed she comes up with ideas as she writes and then tries to 'backdate' them into the overall story and it throws the continuity of the story off.
Also, I wonder how accurate some of the actions and language used fits the late 50's time frame in this book.
That said, I still love the individual books Kelly writes, the love and passion between the two main characters always has me swooning. As well, the family and friends this series represents. The love they have for each other as a group and the passion the couples have.

Emma and Garrett’s love story!! 5 star read!
Omg I did not want this to end. To see where all the Wanted characters began with. I loved every minute of this book. I felt like I was there watching it in person it was written that good. it had all the elements I love in a book-Romance, angst, emotional, etc. so many parts I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. If you love Romance then you will love this!

A tale of a great love...
This sweet story of Emma and Garrett is one that makes you stop and realize that true love really does exist. It answers a lot of questions that I had regarding them and their relationship. Kelly Elliott again paints us a beautiful picture of our favorite families! I am so excited to read the next book.

This one is my favorite because it starts with two teens falling in love and growing their family and passing and teaching that love to their children and grandchildren. It was so sweet.

We have seen the deep connection and love between Grams (Emma) and Gramps (Garrett) throughout the Wanted series as the matriarch and patriarch. Now as they tell their full love story to their grandchildren and significant others, we are thrust back in time to 1956....
Garrett Mathews had his whole life planned out, but he never planned on Emma Birk. They shared an instant attraction, but sweet, innocent Emma was not sure she was quite ready for the perceived bad boy, Garrett. She avoided him the best she could, but Garrett was one persistent guy. But Emma made him really work for it, and many times they were almost over before they could ever really could get started. And their lives had complications that they never expected. Dreams were lost and changed...sending them spiraling.
Emma was the perfect combination of sweet, smart, sassy, and a little vixen. She really came out of her shell during the course of the story. Garrett was hardworking, caring, and a total sweet heart. He had a lot to face in his young life, but was determined to be a good man. They shared an unwavering attraction and connection. But their lives were not always easy. They both made mistakes and they had situations to overcome. Some of the scenes broke my heart, while others had me laughing or swooning.
There were surprises good and bad, special and emotional moments, sadness and joy. This was the story of a beautiful life full of love, laughter, and ups and downs. But as a couple they were passionate, supportive, and shared a deep connection and love that affected everyone in their lives in a positive way. Garrett set the foundation for the romantic, caring men that came after him. His influence continued to be seen throughout his family and others that he mentored.
Garrett and Emma had a tight group of friends that stood by them for the long haul. I especially loved the relationship with his pseudo brother Billy and Billy's Dad, and Emma's cousin, Margie. Their tight bonds provided such friendship, love, and support over the years. And that sense of community continued years later as their children and grandchildren grew and found their mates and friends. This story tied it all together and brought them all full circle. It was told in Emma and Garrett's points of view mostly in the past, but also had a few present scenes with the Wanted gang. And the special ending bonus was swoony and had me sighing in happiness! Gotta love the sweetness of these guys...sigh....
Fans of the Wanted series will enjoy finally getting Emma and Garrett's full story and seeing how the legacy of love, laughter, friendship and traditions have been passed down from generation to generation. It was fun traveling back in time to where you would think they were all more innocent, but maybe not as innocent as you would think. And then progressing with them over time through various milestones.

Finally, Gramps and Grams tell their story! Garrett and Emma have often referred to their love as a forever love, and boy is it ever. Jumping back to 1956, Garrett and Emma tell their story in their own words. From their first meeting to welcoming their sons into the world, Garrett and Emma live their forever love everyday.
"Emma Rose Birk, the first time I saw you in that drugstore, I knew...I knew I would love you for the rest of my life."
There were so many sweet moments throughout the story, but even knowing 50 years later they are still very much in love, it wasn’t always the smoothest road to get where they are now and several times I was left wondering how they would get through their struggles. And as has been established in this series, there are just as many humorous moments as there are deeply emotional ones.
This story was filled with great tie-ins to some of the hints that have been dropped throughout the rest of the series. It was fun to watch the roots of some of the things that have become tradition among the gang develop. And yes, Gramps was one romantic fellow. The influence of his gestures that we’ve seen in other books in definitely present here as well. These are the most romantic bunch of ranchers I think I’ve ever read, and it starts firmly with Garrett.
I loved the trip back through time, and the way we were tossed back to 1956 while sitting around the kitchen table with the whole gang. Those couple of scenes in the present time are the perfect jumping off and landing points for the entire story. The period pop culture references, slang, and behaviors put me right in the mindset of the 1950’s. As the story progressed into the 60s, some of the period voice softened, but never felt so modern as to be out of place.
As in all the best love stories, this one doesn’t end at the wedding. In fact, Garrett and Emma’s wedding doesn’t even happen the way either one imagined. Once again, we see that perfect love doesn’t always mean smooth sailing, and it certainly doesn’t end on the wedding night!
"You'll never leave me because you're forever in my heart."
I loved Garrett and Emma’s story from start to finish. It was a quick read and a sweet trip back in time. Once again, the Wanted series mixed sweet with funny, and brings a few unexpected twists along the way. The final part of the book includes letters from each of the men to their wives at the birth of their first child. Filled with sweet words, each letter is a reminder of everything each couple has faced to reach their own version of the love modeled by Garrett and Emma. A perfect ending to the series!

A FOREVER LOVE (WANTED .5) by KELLY ELLIOTT
I have always been a fan of Kelly Elliott's work since I have read book 1 of this series and I think she is one of the first Indie authors I have come to love and honestly every book she releases is a work of art. Call me cliche, biased or whatever but I looooooooooove her stories. I cannot express more how much I love this series. It's just plain love, family, joy, romance and passionate love scenes every single time and this prequel tops it all.
This is Garrett & Emma's story and I am so happy that Kelly decided to write their story and share it to her fans. If you followed this series then you have met them and like me, you also love em. Their love for their kids and grandchildren is just pure and you cannot help but be curious with their own love story while you are reading their grandchildren's romantic and crazy journey. And I think it is truly wonderful that we get to read their own.
My heart swells with joy, happiness and love after reading this book, well even while I was reading it. There's just so many good things about this book that I want you to experience it and enjoy the forever love Garrett & Emma have for each other. I don't wanna go into details with what happened in the book but let me tell you that you will not be disappointed and like other Kelly Elliott's work, this book also radiates the talent, love, passion and family that you have experienced in her previous books. Like I said, she delivers and she does it well. She never disappoints and I cannot wait to read more from this series (spin-off or not). And I also hope we get to read Gunner's parents story. I bet it is full of drama and I am sooooooo curious to know their own love story.

First off, now I know why Garrett always seems to wander himself in on people doing the deed! It seems to run in his family.
I wasn't planning on reading this book, if I am being honest. I just wasn't interested in it. I finished the Wanted Series not long ago, and I have it the whole set on my eReader so I just decided to take advantage of it. And might I say I am glad I did. This book was different than the rest. Garrett and Emma had a way different relationship than the rest, but all in all, all relationships are unique. If I am being quite honest, it was a bit strange picturing Emma and Garrett as teenagers since I have known them to be grandparents the whole way through, but it was a new experience. you finally got to see the beginning of the Wanted love story. this was the root. There was so much passion and love between Garrett and Emma, and they really were right, they have a forever love. The most awkward and bizarre thing reading this book though, was reading about them doing it, especially since they are now old folks. that was just...I don't even know. But beyond that, this book was amazing. I had expected the book to be shorter but I was glad it was longer. It was beautiful and stunning, Kelly Elliott once again captured the love between two people. And not just Emma and Garrett, with Margie and Billy, too. I loved watching them together, even if you didn't see much of them. they kind of have a love like Heather and Josh, different story, but same feel. that mellow and calming feeling that washes over you when they talk about them.
This was an amazing read and I would definitely recommend it to those who liked the Wanted series, or any other of Kelly Elliott's works.

Everyone Needs A Forever Love
WOW, OMG there are really no words to express what this book really is. Kelly Elliott has given us some wonderful books from her Wanted Series and also the Broken Series. With A FOREVER LOVE this book brings The Wanted Series Full Circle. This is where it all began with Garrett ( Gramps) and Emma ( Grams). We see where all of the Swoon Worthy things Gunner gave us in the first book. Gramps has thought all the guys well. Garrett walked into the drug store one day met up with friends and Emma was there sitting with her Cousin Margie, one of Garrett's best friends. Garrett knew the minute he laid eyes on Emma she was his Destiny. Emma was smitten when their eyes first met. Garrett finds he may have to fight for what he wants as his friend ( like a brother) Billy likes Emma too. Boy a love triangle they have, but really Billy is fighting his feelings for Margie. Emma doesn't make it easy on Garrett, when he is ready to give up because really how many times can a guy take the word NO. Margie finally gets Emma to see her way of pushing the one person that ignites her in no other way. So she goes and claim what should have been hers months ago. Garrett and Emma have a whirl wind Love that is like Nothing that can be described. They have their up's and down's but in the end it's what makes and EVERLASTING and FOREVER LOVE. I have to say this author really makes you feel like you are back in the 50's and 60's the era where Emma and Garrett start their story. If I could give this story more then the 5 stars, this book would rates at least 20 star's to me. I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone.

After reading the Wanted series, I was looking forward to reading Grams and Gramps story, and it did not disappoint!
It was great to go back in time and see how they met and fell in love. They definitely had their fair share of obstacles along the way but they proved that true love can survive anything.
Garrett had to fight so hard for Emma and I loved how he didn't give up, even though at times it seemed like he might, deep down he knew from their very first meeting that she was the one for him. Although Emma fought her feelings for so long in the beginning, it was obvious that there was something different about Garrett. He was her one and only. From the beginning, theirs was A Forever Love. Even throughout Wanted, Saved, Faithful, Cherished and Believe, their love was still as strong as it always was.
Anyone who has been a fan of the Wanted series will love A Forever Love! It is the perfect companion novel to this series. This is definitely one of my favourite reads in this series.

Garrett and Emma first met in Mason, Texas in the summer of 1956, heck that is eons ago. Garrett felt like his heart dropped to the floor and he was having a very hard time breathing for a few seconds.
Emma is originally from Fredericksburg she was having a hard time with move to Mason and her only saving grace at the time was her cousin Margie, and the she got introduced to Anna and Emma thought she was a ditz but she also thought Anna was funny and very sweet. But from there it was a domino effect in meeting everyone. In walks Garrett who has poor Emma confused for the first time in her life.
This sweet couple deserve each other and what life has to offer, turns out life isn't ever going a straight smooth line it throws on twists and turns. Read the story of how our beloved Gramps and Grams came to be.

How could I not love this book!? I have loved Garrett and Emma, Gunner's grandparents from the beginning and when I first started the series I didn't know they had a book until I looked farther into the series. I was so excited to know they had a story and it would tell how they fell in love. You really see the similarities between Gunner and Garrett. Now I can officially say, since I've finished the series, Gunner is my favorite male. Garrett comes in a very close second. But I think I have to treat it differently... :) I swoon over men like Gunner and Garrett; I'm a die hard romance fan so I guess it just makes sense. I adored having their story and it's funny to see it set in the 50's and just imagining the story was fun! I love that the slang from the 50's was included in the very beginning. I'm glad to see I recognized and understood what alot of those meant. :)
I adored this series to pieces and I'm so glad I don't have to say goodbye just yet. It's going to be interesting reading from the 2nd generation now in the ages of their parents!!!

I've absolutely adored and loved every single book of this series. Just the way you feel towards the characters makes the book all that much better. I love all the characters. This was Garret's and Emma's story. I absolutely loved it. They were in the previous books and always helping out the young couples who love. Well this was their story on how they fell in love. At first Emma didn't give Garrett a chance because she was so scared and scared how strongly he affected before even being with him. But Garrett never gave up. He did for a second but then he said he couldn't give up on the one thing he truly wanted. Finally Emma gave in. It turned to a forever kind of love. They had their ups and downs. Like Garret's dad dying. And Emma leaving to go to school. But in the end they always came back to each other. It was truly a story with lots of love and just the right amount of sex haha. Absolutely enjoyed this series and wish it wasn't ending.

Kelly, you are a master at your craft. I was so immersed in this story I really felt like I was in the 50s. I wanted to rock it at a sock hop and go to the drive in. I want to find an old fashioned drug story and drink a milk shake!
We all know that Emma and Garrett are pretty much two pieces that complete the pie. He's the lolly to her pop.
I am so thankful for this edition to the Wanted gang story. Reading where Emma and Garrett's love began was such a blessing. I must say that Emma is a minx! Roar, she is a tiger and I fell so much more in love with her. Garrett, can we say hello Gunner 2.0. I mean seriously, the stuff he would say was mega swoon worthy.
For anyone who has started this series, make sure that you read this story. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Kelly!!

It seems like for most of this series Emma and Garrett have been held up as the paragons to who the youngsters should aspire to. I loved that finally all the previous couples pinned down Emma and Garrett to make them spill their love story.
I was a bit surprised that Emma and Garrett's story was filled with as much drama as the kids' were. I sort of didn't like Emma at the start, she seemed like a stuck up snob, one that Garrett didn't need to deal with. I did love how there were similarities between this past story to the ones that just happened. I couldn't help but laugh as Emma and Garrett kept getting walked in on while getting busy, especially as Garrett seems to do that to all the kids now. I also really liked that Garrett gave the boys some great tips to woo their girls.
With this story things have come full circle.
