Rate this book
Athfhoilsiú ar an leabhair ‘Paloma’, ‘Dlíthe an Nádúir’ agus ‘Croí na Ceiste’ faoi theideal nua atá ann. Leanann an tsraith saol Paloma Pettigrew agus í ag feidhmiú mar gharda i mbaile beag Gaeltachta. Fad is atá sí lonnaithe ann, cuireann sí aghaidh ar choirpeach cogaidh agus ar mhangaire drugaí, i measc slíomadóirí eile. Ach le cabhair óna cairde, an máistir scoile Ó Dónaill agus Marika, teifeach as an mBoisnia, is minic a bhíonn an lámh in uachtar ag Paloma orthu. Is i nGaeilge shimplí atá na scéalta scríofa le míniú ar fhocail agus ar nathanna deacra.

This book is aimed at adult learners of Irish and brings together three of the author’s previously published books for adults; ‘Paloma’, ‘Dlíthe an Nádúir’ and ‘Croí na Ceiste’. This exciting series follows Paloma Pettigrew and her new life as a Garda in the countryside. During her time there, she encounters all kinds of shady characters, including a war criminal and a drug dealer. However, with the help of her friends, the former schoolmaster, Master O’ Donnell and Marika, a Bosnian refugee, Paloma often manages to save the day. These books are written in simple Irish and difficult words and expressions are explained.

A collection of simple-to-read short stories in Irish for adult learners.
The stories were fine but a bit too simplistic (not the language but the plot). Also there is a glossary of some words, I didn't really understand the choice of words added to the glossary. Some words were difficult but never defined, and others which I had learned at school were.
