Ok so... Spoiler alert do NOT continue reading if you don't want to know what's happening in this series so far!
Sarah moved to Portland from New York in book 1, she was fleeing a bad relationship in which she caught her boyfriend Jake in bed with another man. (Yes, you read that right) After her first week on the job a group of girls she works with, including her boss, take her out to a restaurant where she meets the head chef, Aiden. He's gorgeous, all the girls are drooling over him and a couple other chefs in the place, but Sarah is not interested. She ends up leaving the restaurant early and the following day her boss tracks her down to guilt trip her into going out with them again.
Sarah's torn. She doesn't really want to go, but she wants to fit in with these women because she has no one else in Portland to lean on for support. They take her to Aiden's mansion, and end up ditching her there. She has a little more wine than she should and decides to sleep with Aiden, who has been flirting with her non stop. They spend the night together and the following day, and then she returns home.
Thefolloing day Sarah receives a text from Aiden, only he has text the wrong number and the message is intended for one of Sarah's coworkers. And this is where the book takes a wrong turn. END BOOK ONE
Sarah gets so upset, she calls in to work for several days and wallows in her house, then when she finally does go to work she ends up nearly sleeping with her boss. She is still upset over the man she spent a whole day with, and is not communicating anything that's going on with her to anyone, including Aiden and the traitorous coworker.
Now, realistically what would you say to Sarah if she was your friend? Snap the hell out of it! Right? She's acting like she was in a relationship with this guy, when in reality it was a night and day. I didn't even bond with my cat that fast. This is as far as I am so far, and I really want to just smack this girl and tell her to put her big girl panties on and get over it! Let's hope the rest of this book isn't filled with Sarah's pity party, because it's a real doozy.
