Who would have thought that anything could be hidden from a person that could tell the future?
Seventeen year old, Alexandra Denton has always known that she was different because of her gift to foresee the future but when she dreams of a man who claims that she killed him, she is thrust into a world that she has all but forgotten- a world where she is a member of the appointed, a group of people with paranormal gifts who fight demons. Now, Alexandra must fight to reclaim the memories that she lost all while fighting a demon that is putting the lives of her family and friends in danger and also, trying to stay alive herself.

About the author

Amanda K. Dudley-Penn was born in June of 1977 in Tullahoma,Tennessee. She has loved writing from a young age and spent her time writing stories and poetry for those close to her. It became her dream to become a published writer. With the support of her three children and husband, she began writing her first novel, The Hidden in 2008 and finished it in June of 2012. She is currently the author of four series, The Alexandra Denton Chronicles, The Brazil Werewolf Series, The Preston Vampire Series and The Roses and Blood Series and she is working on the release of three more series, The Angel Essence Series, Night in Eden Series and The Prophecy of Darkness and Light Series. She currently lives in Grand Prairie, Texas with her husband, David and her two youngest children, Isabella and Joshua.

Truth can be told in all kinds of stories. This author didn’t disappoint. The main female character, Alex must come to terms with her life and the world. Being a teenager/young adult from a broken home is hard enough, but to have special abilities only added more layers of complications to growing up. As the story moves along you feel the emotions of Alex in which you can relate to her in ways or at least I did. A well written book. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the second book. Thanks for sharing this story.
