Ancient Sparta and Athens never fell and still exist as pariah city states in a contemporary alternative Europe. For the first time Sparta is to be allowed compete at the Olympics. In preparation a journalist arrives to tell the story of the great friendship between Sparta's most famous athletes.
This narrative does not make sense: it is extremely short and reads like the first pages of a much longer work, set in an alternate contemporary Europe, which simply is not there. A pity as writing seems in order.
