About the Ancients of Light series
Chosen is the first in the thirteen books of the Ancients of Light series and is only the beginning of a young Witch’s journey toward developing both the strength of character and magic that will be required to fulfill her prophesied role as leader of the Light faction.

Revelations of nuances in the Prophecy - facets that were never fully comprehended by the Ancients - will continue in successive stories. The culmination of its true meaning in the destiny of the supernatural world of the Realm will only be revealed when Kaitriana is adequately prepared to lead the Warriors now being called together to champion the Light’s purpose.

Familiar characters return for each storyline as the focus turns to a new key couple in every book - a pair that significantly factors into the purpose of Light – however, the story of the Chosen does not end with Book #1. Kaitriana and Lorcan, their growth together as partners in leadership and in love as a couple, will thread through the series as Kaitriana assumes the role that was destined as hers since the beginning.

About the Author
Heather Fleener lives in Indiana with her husband, D.A. and their twins, Thomas and Alexandra. Professionally she has spent her career working in the area of Intellectual Property law.

Reading has been a passion of hers since she was young and she has been a closet-romance junkie her entire life. The romantic styles of Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood are her inspiration, though she has read and loved the stories of countless other authors. Her fascination with the paranormal began to form at the young age of six, watching late-night ghost and vampire movies with her Grandpa. Unfortunately, as a result, she also remains afraid of the dark to this day.

Combining her love of epic romances and the supernatural was a natural progression for her overactive imagination. When the idea for the Ancients of Light series began, it was an abstract story line rambling around in her head to help kill a few miles on the treadmill. As the stories and plotlines continued to grow, it finally became necessary to put the words to paper and build the characters that had been living in the Realm and having conversations in her head for months.

The series is a testament to many miles on the treadmill and lots of characters that insist on having their stories told.

Heather Fleener has done it again!! This book was amazing such an emotional ride and I loved every minute of it!! I have loved this series since the beginning and now even more Tristan and Alia's story was so up and down and I loved the fact that we got so much Ancients history and found things out that we had been wanting to know or just made things a little more clear. Poor Alia has such a hard time coming back to the Realm seeing so much had changed, and some things she thought, were not true. Then you cant help but feel bad for Tristan he suffered so much while she was gone, I just loved him well it was an love hate relationship some times I loved him others I hated him...Truly Mistaken was an amazing book the best so far in the Series Heather my dear you have really put together such a Fantastic world for us to escape to. If you have not read this book please do it is such am amazing book you will feel every emotion the characters go through you will laugh , Cry be mad or curious, and all of the Favorites from the first 3 books are back and sassy as ever! Hot Vamps, Sassy Witches and a whole lot of craziness!! What more could you want.

Oh my stars all 5 of them!! Mistaken is the next installment in the Ancients of Light series. All I can say is OMG!!! This book is now my most favorite of the whole series. Heather has woven a fine tapestry in Mistaken by giving us the background & history of the Queens and their beginning & wrapping it up with a Beautiful sparkling bow to current times and the return of the Nature Queen & the rest of our favorite Witch Queens & Sassy Vampire female warriors!! Along with their Vampire Mates. In Mistaken pieces of the series puzzle start to fall into place with SEVERAL surprises!!! I highly recommend this Series as a whole for anyone who loves paranormal, romance & any combination of the 2!! Talk about having a discussion with my kindle through out this book! I can't not wait for the next installment in the series !! Kudos Heather, you have done it again!! XOXO

Mistaken

This was indeed a surprise read for me. Wonderful concept With the instant recognition of the lovers that was forbidden. Who would have thought a vampire and a strong witch Widgets to bring A dark general into the light. I give this book a 4 1⁄2.

I honeslty felt like it took years to read this book. They are way too long and too much back and forth.

As good as Broken was, Mistaken was BETTER ... and longer, and worth every page. This book was basically two stories tied together, following Alia (the Nature Queen) and Tristan (the original Light Vampire). Where Lorcan and Nicholas are overbearing a-holes in Chosen and Forgotten, Tristan is the noble knight of most women's fantasy. He does have his moments, but he never seems to waver. As much as Kylie has her baggage, Alia puts everyone in the carry-on line. This is a book, where the reader will at several points, be compelled to jump to the back of the book. Normally, I can refrain ... I hope you are more successful then me.

Kat is turning into quite the enigma, there is a lot more going on here, and the tidbits Fleener provides are drool-worthy of a "Lost" storyline.

Crazykins ... is well crazy, as always providing a one-two puch of humor and satire with Kat. Favorite Lines: "What's up bitches?" and "I am an honorary member of this insane circle of bitches ...". Also, a lot more going on here as well.

Lorcan is actually growing on me.

I'm looking forward to the revelations of Mauve and Brodrick in the next book. Speaking of the next book, if Mistaken was 650+ pages, the next book will be 800. Mauve and Broderick look to be the most complicated characters, with the most history, to date.

My only complaint, and I think that might be changing, is the ease at which the Light seem to be defeating the Dark. Alaric and Turloch appear to be lacking in the "Big Bad" in the britches catagory. I wonder if the "God of War" reference is Fleener's effort to recify this concern.

If I had a choice of more than 5 stars,Mistaken would definitely receive more from me! I can not get enough of this series and when I think I've found a favorite she goes and out does herself again! Don't get me wrong I love all the Ancients of Light books and have read them multiple times just so I could relive the story because I love them so much, but people always want you to pick a favorite.Do you know how hard that is to do with this series? Each book adds another couple or couples to fall in love with as they fall in love in a world where their lives are bent on choosing a side,Light or Dark but it isn't that simple when you were created one way but you love someone created to be your enemy. Tristan and Alia's story is the first time major players in this ever going war for domination over the Realm, hence the domination over the wellbeing of humans, change sides sending the Realm is upheavals and some will do ANYTHING for power.Mistaken takes us from the past where it all began to the present day fight where an age old betrayal must come to light and truth must be sought out to reconcile the damage done that night,if it's not too late. And one can either destroy or rekindle the Faith in God, lost those so many years ago and see God never gives up on us or stops loving us no matter how far we stray from our purpose. So step in to the Realm and hold on tight as you embark on an emotional roller coaster that will leave you begging for more and wishing to stay living with these amazing characters in a fascinating world.

Mistaken does not fail to deliver

Mistaken does not fail to deliver

Mistaken is book 4 in this series so if you have not read the first 3 books in the series that is where you must begin starting with Chosen.
Having said that, hands down this is a must read, the first half of the book is really giving us insight into what happened in the past and brings us up to speed on the Nature Witch, Alia and her life before The Great Betrayal, that is brought up in previous books. Alia is a fascinating character and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her story. She unlike Kat and Ella is an Ancient and we get to find out what makes her who she is today. Her love story is an epic tale that has many hurdles to overcome pitting her and Tistan against the Dark ones if they have any hope of their love surviving. This book had me laughing and crying and I could hardly put it down. I hope you enjoy reading Alia and Tristan's story as much as I did.
