John likes to play wicked games in his basement. He found his latest plaything, Lisa, on an internet dating site and has been working on gaining her trust. He just has to make it through tonight and then he can set his plan in motion. Let the Basement Games begin.
After writing poems and short stories for a number of years, I finally got brave and wrote a book which is the first of a series. It's a paranormal romance called Where Will You Run? I live with my amazing husband, 2 crazy kids, my dad, two dogs and the rest of the Franco zoo.
I received a copy, but not for review (even though I am recommending the short story here). I must say I do know the author as full disclosure, and she wanted to creep me out with Basement Games, and has succeeded. I did follow along with the main character, an unsavory chap who is stuck in a pattern of madness, and I hoped he would also receive a righteous comeuppance. There is an almost predictable outcome, but this doesn't take away from the suspense set-up whatsoever. I love to read suspense and psychological suspense the best and M.E. Franco has a flair for it. I look forward to this author's first suspense thriller novel.
