3.5 stars. A story about Maddie and Kyle. Maddie has been trying to get her life back together after finding her parents murdered in their home. Kyle grew up in Maddie's hometown with an extremely abusive father and was Maddie's best friend up until the murders. Maddie cut off all contact with Kyle after the murders and he never understood why.
Maddie and Kyle end up attending the same college, they meet but Maddie thinks Kyle doesn't remember her. He does, but wants to start again with Maddie and not scare her away so he pretends to just be meeting her for the first time. Eventually the past does become known and Maddie and Kyle try to reestablish their relationship. But Maddie has major secrets that affect she and Kyle that she can't bring herself to tell Kyle.
At this point the book switches from a romantic story to a murder mystery and its gets a little complicated. I think the story lost its focus and I didn't completely understand the dynamics of what was going on. And, I'm afraid I lost interest, hence the low rating. But I did finish it and liked to characters of Maddie and Kyle.

Wow what an amazing book great job Kate Channing. You have me wanting more of Maddie and Kyle. It has some great twists and turns and real emotions in there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing book to read. Can't wait till the next one comes out only sad that it will not be about Maddie and Kyle but still excited to read it. :)

Szeretem az ilyen legjobb barátokból lesznek szeretők történeteket,azért is fogott meg a fülcím. Viszont,nem olyan volt mint amire számítottam.Hidegen hagytak a szereplők,nem tudtam beleélni magam. A végét meg szerintem összecsapta az irónö,vártam volna egy kis akciót
