“Ese cepillo de dientes que tienes en la mano, De verdad que para mí es un villano. Demasiada pasta de dientes, un dulce necesito, Aliméntame por favor, al menos solo un poquito. Tu cepillo no me deja alcanzar lo que quiero, Deseo escarbar y taladrar un agujero, Sé que te dolería, pero no me importa, ¡Por favor, detente ya; mi ser ya no soporta!”

Summary-
This book is about a young boy who knows he has to brush his teeth twice a day but was late to bedtime so skipped brushing his teeth that night. That same night he also snuck chocolate into his room and ate it before he went to bed. While sleeping a bacteria named Joe came into his mouth and started eating the chocolate that was left over in his mouth. Joe then realized that there was plenty of leftover to have a party with his other friends. The more Joe ate the fatter he got until he sat on a tooth and put a huge amount of pressure on it. When the boy woke up the next morning with a tooth ache and decided to brush his teeth. When the toothpaste came Joe got mad and decided it was time to go.
Themes-
A major theme in this book is to never forget your responsibilities and that everything you do has a consequence.
Personal response-
This book is a reminder that everyone has responsibilities no matter how old you are or what you have to do. It also shows that whatever you do or don't do there will be consequences.
Recommendation-
I recommend this book because it teachers children the importance of personal hygiene on a level that they will understand better. They still believe in monsters and creepy crawlies so of you show them that something like that could happen then it will help them better understand that they need to take care of themselves. This book also uses pictures with undefined lines and uses colors that remind me of sickness; dark green, yellow, and browns.

I have read several of Sigal Adler's books;I think this is the best book that Adler has written so far. A sweet young boy, who tries to be good goes to bed one night too tired to brush his teeth. Bacteria Joe promptly arrives on the scene because the boy has just eaten one of his favorite sweets, chocolate. Joe invites his friends and they have a party in the boy's mouth putting pressure on one of his teeth and digging down deep. The boy wakes up with a pain in his tooth and hurries to get up and brush his teeth.

The rhymes are catchy and clever; the illustrations are brilliantly done to portray exactly what bacteria can do to damage teeth. Ever since that night, the boy remembers to brush his teeth to prevent tooth decay. Any parent who has ever had a battle with a child to brush his teeth will want to check out this book. I would heartily recommend that dentists place it on their office reading racks and that teachers consider using it as part of their health curriculum in the early grades. The book gets its point across in an easy to understand non-threatening way.

Children's Book : Bacteria Joe Adventures for the Beginner readers! WOW!!!

I liked it a lot and think that this was a terrific ebook for the very young to us much older kids! I liked the facts she shared with the young beginning readers about why it's so important to brush one's teeth at least twice a day and everyday, too! I recommend this ebook though especially for those who are perhaps reading this ebook for maybe their first time or year! I feel I should give this ebook fife stars for making a special very interesting new ebook for the very young including those who may not yet be up to reading this yet for themselves but had someone older read it to them while showing them the pictures that were very brilliantly painted for them! I received this ebook for free and in exchange I am giving it an honest review. Great work Sigal!

Bacteria Joe written by Sigal Adler was GREAT!
This book was about a child that decided not to brush his or her teeth twice a day one night.
I love the illustrations, they are raw and exciting!
As an author of children books, I love to see illustrations that are different and hand drawn. This author does a good job with changing up her illustrations.

I like how the night the child decided not to brush, the author shows how bacteria set in right away. I know this book will encourage children of all ages to brush their teeth to maintain good oral hygiene.

Pretty cute

Short enough for younger children and long enough for kindergarteners to enjoy listening to. It includes a good lesson about oral hygiene in a simple way for preschoolers to understand.

• A GREAT way to teach your child to brush their teeth! The pictures were colorful, bright and the bacteria even looked scary --- instead of having to nag a kid to death about it! The story rhymes basic reading for beginner readers!
