I had gotten this book at first after really enjoying The Vision and The Torch and the Sword. At first, I had struggled with the style of The Path, but nearly a year later, I decided to give it another shot. As I started reading I was excited to find it addressing some of the thoughts and conversations I had been having about church a few days prior. A few mornings later I even read a little bit that was confirmed and expounded upon in a church service later that same morning about hearing and obeying God's voice. I felt that my delay in reading it seemed divine in that it timed out perfectly so that when I read it, it really spoke to a lot of the things I was thinking through at the time.

The book is easy to read with a good message and good take-away's however it's more of an ongoing discussion between the characters rather than as action based as the The Vision. It reminded me of how I imagine myself explaining things to others and then imagine the opposition and agreement I expect to face from the different people I share it with. Or at times it seemed as if I wrote a sermon and then had two people take turns reading it. I share that in the review because it turned me off at first, since I felt the conversations to be unrealistically pleasant and agreeable. The characters just seemed to be continuing where the main character would leave off in his thoughts, easily grasping concepts and embracing them too. Again, the style works, and the message is solid. I just could have received the message more easily, I think, were Joyner to "show" more than "tell."

Joyner's books are not written to entertain- but rather to give light. However as he shows us some deeper truths about our journey as Christians - if we choose to follow - Joyner edutains. I hope my books do the same.

Rick Joyner does it again! This book will speak directly to your heart. I am blown away by chapters 5 and 13 and I plan to re-read those. It is a treasure of a life time.
I understand that not everyone will enjoy this book. It is written specifically for some group of people. It is a deep-calls-to-deep kind of book that will resonate to those who belong.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I am lost for words! Will definitely be reading Book 2!

Think twice

This book makes you stop to think of how important our choices are and staying in love with the Lord are. The love of the Lord affects our choices which effects all Who around us. A great awakening work to take seriously our calling and purpose in the earth especially today.

A call for the last day Remnant

This is God inspired and will speak into those being risen up in these last days. I recommend reading the Final Quest trilogy first, it will help make sense of references that Rick makes.

This book is a must read for the sojourning Christian. It answers several difficult question that you don't even know you have and it has a sharp prophetic edge. Can't wait for the sequel.

This is an allegorical story, but I don’t understand most of the allegory, and I don’t understand many of the references.

Someone more learned than I might enjoy it,but it wasn’t for me.

The less travelled path

Rick has prophetically emblazoned the path to walking with the Lord. Our calling in Christ is so much more than we can even imagine.

"When you picked up the rod again and returned to your calling, it was like you had never missed a step in some ways, but stepped into a place much higher than you left. It was as if you had walked in your calling the whole Time and grown into it, he said looking at me as I nodded that this was true.
"But you did miss something. You grew, and your rod grew, but for a long time it did not grow in your hand Because of this you missed a lot. If you had grown together with your rod you would be more mature and more stable in your authority. You would be so one with the staff that it would be as another arm to your body. Now it is almost like something you are trying to get used to. You don't even know how to hold it right. Because of this you will be in danger of misusing this rod the same way Moses did."

"Jesus is the true desire of every human heart. When He is lifted u all men are drawn to Him. For too long we have lift up the things of God rather than the God of all things. We have, at times, lifted up truths about Him, above Him. Those are coming who will lift Him up, and they will carry His glory so that He is seen. You could be the ones.
"The most common question that people have is about their purpose in life. The answer is that we are here to see Him, know Him, love Him, become like Him, and to reveal Him. If we do this we will fulfill the greatest purpose one can have on the earth. If we do this we will be the most successful human beings to ever walk the earth. Those who do this will be celebrated by the whole earth because they will have the power to help restore the earth to what it was created for. This is why it says the creation groans and travails waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God."

Stien.

The path. The fire on the mountain.
The book is the latest addition in a new trilogy, it is absolutely fantastic, and has been expected, I am very happy again to get a glimpse of what is going to happen in the near future, it become hard and uncompromising it becomes challenging and ukonfortabelt, but also utterly wonderful and amazing.
I am looking forward to getting to go on the path after Rick Joiner
in his recent work has given me an appetizer.
Look forward to the trip along the path which this book is.
God Bless

There was some good stuff to take away, but I found the writing to be lacking. The allegory format detracted from the message I think.
