A.J. Low is a husband-and-wife writing team!

Born in the San Joaquin Valley in California to Mexican immigrant parents, Adan Jimenez became an immigrant himself when he moved to Singapore after living in New York for almost a decade. He has worked for comic book stores, book stores, and gaming stores. And a hoagie sandwich shop once. He loves comics, LEGOs, books, games (analog and video), Doctor Who, sandwiches, and his wife, Felicia. Not necessarily in that order, though.

Felicia Low-Jimenez has worked in the book industry most of her adult life. She has bought books, sold books, marketed books, and now she is trying her hand at writing books. She loves to nap and eat chocolate, though not at the same time. She spends most of her free time reading and when she can afford it, she travels, usually to look for beautiful bookstores around the world. Most of all, she loves her husband, Adan (who insisted that she include this).

Sherlock Sam ve Kaybolan Robot, A.J. Low’un kaleme aldığı Sherlock Sam Serisi’nin beşinci kitabı olmasına rağmen benim okuduğum ilk Sherlock Sam kitabıydı. 8 bölümden oluşan kitapta, her bölümde hikayeyi destekleyen bir çizim yer alıyordu ve bu çizimler hem okurun ilgisini çekiyor hem de hikayede bahsedilen robotun daha kolay akılda canlandırılmasını sağlıyor. Bence çocukların Sherlock Sam’i bu kadar çok sevmesinde bu detaylı çizimlerin etkisi büyük.

Kitapta ailesi ve arkadaşlarıyla kısa bir tatile çıkan Sam’in gittikleri oyuncak müzesinde çalınan bir robotun peşine düşmeleri anlatılıyor. Samuel a.k.a Sherlock Sam and the supper club once again find themselves entangled in a mystery during their vacation to Penang. An Antique robot goes missing from the toy museum and its up to Sherlock Sam and his gang to apprehend the persons responsible for the robbery. With just a single clue found in the crime scene, can they catch the culprits before it's too late?

I'm really starting to enjoy the series. I loved Samuel's weakness for the local delicacies and Watson's well-timed humorous retorts. When the story ended, I was left wanting for more. I wouldn't stop until I finish reading the entire series.

Sherlock Sam and the Vanished Robot in Penang is the fifth book in the Sherlock Sam series. When sherlock and his friends are on vacation in Penang, an antique toy robot goes missing from a toy museum, and it's up to Singapore's greatest kid detective to bring his skills to solve the case!

I always love the characters, like Jimmy and how much energy he has. The food is always wonderful and this time, I managed to guess who did it before it was revealed! Highly recommend to all young singaporean and malaysian readers.
