The first two Danielle Ross mysteries, Guilt by Association and The Final Curtain have enjoyed wide recognition. Deadly Deception finds the private investigator faced with one of the greatest tests of her career when she agrees to take on the case of a vengeful, terminally ill crime boss.
Gilbert Morris was one of today's best-known Christian novelists. He lived in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with his wife, Johnnie. He is the father to Lynn Morris and Alan Morris
A great continuation to the series. This is a series that must be read in order and if you have read and enjoyed the previous two books, you will enjoy this one as well. Dani and Ben are two of my favorite characters of all time. Dani struggles in this book in new ways, but they are real things to struggle with. Ben is still great and rescuing Dani from herself. The only thing that doesn’t seem totally realistic is that Dani always knows when to talk to people about Christ. Her world will be falling down around her ears, but she can still lead someone to Christ just before they die. I’m not saying it could never happen, just that the amount of times and her success rates seem unrealistic at times.
Three conversions to Christianity feels like a lot...
I like Gilbert Morris's other books better. They're pretty similar, so I could predict quite a few things. But overall I pretty much enjoyed it, even though I did roll my eyes a few times.

Vince from book one runs into Dani, he advises his boss to hire her to protect his family - from his own mistakes and from his nefarious racket. She goes in as a nanny/teacher while Ben goes to work also as a P.E instructor as well as a chauffeur. Bullets go flying and when the dust clears Dani and the youngest child are kidnapped.
