The Filthy, Rich Bitch
Sabi nila good things come to those who wait. In my case, hindi ako nagsayang ng oras sa paghihintay lang. I worked hard and really put myself out there, fought my way through. Somewhere along the way, my hard work paid off. Good things did come, and more.
Don't get me wrong. I have money, the luxury brands, the quintessential walk-in closet. But somehow, alone in my flat, everything still seems empty. What could I be missing?
I've had my share of men - and fair share of mistakes. But I have since moved on. I suspect that the ghost of bad decisions still haunt me today. Is this the price I need to pay for my independence, the consequence of being a filthy, rich bitch?

Ito ang kauna-unahang nobela ni Jhing Bautista na nabasa ko.... ng buong-buo. Yung iba kasing nabasa ko e few chapters lang ng iba pa niyang stories. Then yung iba, either one-shots or a brief essay (Bespren: Si Aly, Writer?). At may katamaran din akong magbasa online (sa WATTPAD) lalo na kung completed/finished na. So, I bought the printed summit book and read it leisurely...at my own pace & time.
Anyways, the story itself is quite realistic kahit pa sabihing saksakan talaga ng yaman ang Dirham family. What makes it more catchy is the fact that Meg came from a simple family and rose to the top as a Filthy rich Bitch through hardwork, and plus being married to Daniel Dirham, I think, was also a factor. Despite her wealth, nakukuha pa rin niyang mag-commute, mag-blend-in sa public, mag-shopping sa ordinaryong shopping mall, kumain sa Jollibee, etc. kesehodang ma-hold-up siya sa kalye. Medyo natuwa ako sa part na ito kasi mas importante pa sa kanya ang kanyang buhay; kaysa sa signature bag, jeweleries, & high gadgets niya na pwede naman niyang palitan anytime.
Yung mga twists sa kwento akmang-akma lang sa situation at sa mundong ginagalawan nila. I am referring to the details regarding their family and the initial status of Meg & Daniel's married life. I do not want to elaborate coz I might spoil it. ^__^ You better read the book yourself. Dito kasi, Hindi siya basta humugot na lang ng isang pantastikong rebelasyon na hindi na ata kapani-paniwala.
Kumikilos din ng naaayon sa kanilang estado ang mga tauhan lalo na si Meg. She's straight-forward ever since. She cuss at everyone giving her a bad day. May poise pa rin and she can still carry herself w/ dignity. Yung tipong mai-intimidate ka. And mga kaibigan nila na sila Charlotte (bagama't bitchy ang first impression sa kwento ay maingat sa pagbitiw ng mga salita; may poise din)at ang 2 Chefs na si France & Kent na tagaluto ng mga putaheng mga taga-alta sociedad lang ang nakakaalam ng mga pangalan. Pati na rin sa kung paano kumilos at magsalita ang mga ka-opisinang inggitera. Naalala ko rin ang isang pasaherong nakuhang masuhulan ni Meg ng pera para lang ibigay sa kanya ang bus ticket papuntang Quezon dahil ayaw niyang pumila. Masakit man sabihin, aminin man natin o hindi, karamihan ng mga ordinaryong tao ngayon ay may katapat na salapi.
Syempre, andyan pa rin yung mga romantic & intimate moments nila Meg & Daniel. Karamihan, nakakakilig ang scenes(this is so gay! LOL). Yung iba medyo cheesy. Pero okay lang yun. Nagbibigay lang ang mga iyon ng "spices" sa kwento.
The story is in First-person point of view, which is my most favourite literary style. Why? Coz it's setting the mood of the reader to be in the main character's shoes. While I was reading TFRB, It let me visualized what Meg was seeing, felt was she was feeling, & even visually tasted what she was eating.
Overall, nag-enjoy ako sa pagbabasa. ^__^

These are the following reasons why I loved this book:
1. Walang masyadong drama.
2. I like Meg because she had her reason why she became a "BITCH". She's not a bitch dahil gusto lang niya.
3. Meg is not your typical heroine, she's not weak and irritating kind of heroine.
4. I love Daniel. Hahaha. Nakaka amaze dahil kahit na pinagtatabuyan siya ni Meg, mahal na mahal niya pa rin ito.
5. Maganda yung plot. Unexpected yung mga mangyayari.

I loved reading this book. It was never boring for me & Jhing's way of writing was nice.
My only complain was that Enzo was the only consistent character in this story, which makes me love him. Why? Meg, Daniel and even Angel changed characters over time and time to time, I mean they weren't consistent, I MEAN IT. Example of this was Meg being super rich and maldita, then one time she's sweet and vulnerable, well that's normal. What's not normal was her being rich because of her hardworks and some stroke of luck which I remember she said on the first 5 chapters and then in the following scenes, she asked Daniel why he chose her because she's not even rich. WHAT?
I believe the whole point of the story judging from the title and the plot was because of her really being rich and rich rich. At the end point of the story, para siyang naging si Chichay. Hindi nakaranas ng pagkamayaman at simple ang naging buhay mula umpisa. YES, MEG LIVED A NORMAL LIFE BEFORE. But parang ang kinalabasan eh dahil kay Daniel kaya siya nagkapera which is not true based on her statements from the previous chapters. Ang akala ko, she became rich because of her hardworks and she became what she is up to now even before she met Dani. At some point, nawala nalang bigla yung richy aura niya.
NEXT. Daniel. Dani. Daddy. I reay love Daniel but the way he had been illustrated wasn't okay (well, atleast for me). At the beginning, he's so sweet and flirty. Then Meg stated that Daniel once tried to "almost" force her to have uhh you know what it is during their first anniversary. I rolled my eyes. I RARELY ROLL MY EYES WHEN I READ. UGGGH. Then the next chapter he's somewhat like nakakatakot at parang mananakit. Tapos biglang nalihis yung personality niya. Balik na naman sa Daniel na mahal na mahal at hindi kayang saktan si Meg. Parang may dalawang Daniel sa kwento. At yung totoong Daniel, yung mahal ni Meg eh yung Daniel na sweet, caring, nagtatry magluto and such. Ano ba yun? Nawindang ako. Hahahaha.
The story somewhat relate to its title on the first chapters but then when the whole story focused there. I don't know, but for me it's just a little awkward and the like.
But inspite of my long complains, all I can say is that I love this book. You know when they say,
I just love the cover cause it's fab and classy. The illustrations of Meg and Daniel in the book was the best that I saw so far. I love the title, the plot, the story itself. It's like what's there not to love?
I hope this book will receive many good feedbacks and reviews because it deserved each and every of it.
I would recommend this to everyone. I light and feel good read. Enjoy!

Nagandahan ako. Ang linis tingnan, yung mga kulay na ginamit sakto.
Pag bukas ng libro syempre inamoy ko muna. Ang bango.
Gusto ko rin yung mga illustrations sa loob ng book, especially yung kasama si Dani. Kinilig ako kahit wala pa kong ideya sa storya nila. Ang gwapo kasi! Tapos si Meg, I like her expression. Bagay niya yung walang make-up.
Ang ganda ng story. Ang sweet ni Dani, pero hindi nakakaumay.

This is probably the best Pop Fiction book so far.
When I was in chapter 3, I was already feeling giddy. And I love the fact that the plot twist is at the start. I don't think anyone has ever done that.

Napakanatural at smooth ng daloy ng convos. Dahil sa dami ng mga naglipanang nobela, lumalabas na lahat ng mga istorya ay cliche. Naging iba ito sa lahat dahil sa paraan ng pagsusulat. Isa pa, unpredictable din ang kwento. Havey pa ang bitchy character ni Meg. Parang kung ano 'yong nasa wattpad, 'yon na rin mismo ang nakalagay sa pop fiction version. Matagal na rin magmula 'yong huli kong iyak ng dahil sa libro, pero ito, kahit nabasa ko na dati sa wattpad, naroon pa rin 'yong feels–kilig, iyak, tawa. Muntik lang talaga ako maiyak dahil hindi yata na-edit 'yong sypnosis (kung 'yon man ang tawag doon) sa back cover. Chena, hindi talaga ako marunong magsulat, crappy ang review ko. Nais ko lang namang ipaalam na gustong-gusto ko ang istoryang ito at nirerekomenda ko sa lahat.

I had the copy of this book. I literally planned to buy this in a bookstore. Very interesting plot! I finished this in a day! :D It's a must read. Go buy your copies in a bookstore.

OH MEG. The very reasonable Bitch in town! I love how her character developed and she managed to jump from being a bitch to a sweet one back to bitch again! I admit, I'm not attached to girls like her but Meg broke this! AND Daniel! Gash! Their love story OMG okay. I don't know what to say about this. Read read read read read this everyone! :)

I didn't like the story at first because i kinda hated the main character and all the stuffs happening in it because i couldn't catch up BUT the flashbacks made me like the story because it was then that i understood the story. The story is unique and cute and full of kilig BUT it was a bit green but still a good read.

Sa first half ng book na-enjoy ko ang pagiging bitch ni Meg pati din ang flow ng story. Medyo na-bored na lang ako nung paulit-ulit na yung lambingan/Rated SPG sessions nila. Oo, miss nila ang isa't isa kaso na-umay na ako kalaunan sa pagiging mahilig nila. Pero overall naman ay nag-enjoy ako sa pagbabasa nito which is more important para kay author.

Okay naman ang daloy ng k'wento. Ang plot ay kakikitaan mo talaga ng pagiging Wattpad original nito. Kung matagal ko na itong nabasa, iisipin ko malamang na maganda, kakaiba, at maganda (uli). Ngunit sa taong ito ko lang ito nabasa dahil kailangan ko magbusy-busyhan dahil katabi ko ang crush ko at gusto ko minsan ay may pa-main character moment ako at naiisip ko na nasa libro ako—sabi ko nga, tama na.
Ayun nga, natuwa naman ako basahin ang libro na 'to dahil may mga parte sa librong ito ang nagpatuwa at nagpakilig sa akin kahit papaano at ayun nga, katabi ko nga kasi crush ko tapos lagi siya nakatungo sa arm rest tapos nakatapat sa akin banda so sakto naman na kinikilig ako at tumatawa sa nababasa kaya thanks sa libro na 'to, pakiramdam ko main character talaga ako nung mga oras na 'yon.
May cliche-ness kasi ang book na 'to. Ayaw ko na kayo i-spoil. May pagka-immature rin ang ibang characters at may mga scenes na nilagay lang para may moment baga ang characters.

TFRB reminds me of the movie Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo when it comes to technique. Unlike the usual (ugh!) Wattpad stories that has high school puppy love and pointless conflicts in its core, this book doesn't have such stereotypes. It's just about a couple dealing with their (quirky) marriage, that's it.
Jhing never bothered to push the usual "kerida" conflicts Pinoy adult fiction books are guilty of. Instead, she focuses on Meg and Dani's lives in the present - not much backstories, which was actually nice. I love how the story was paced nicely, as if you're watching a movie with a solid finish.
The problem though is that like the many Pop Fiction books preceding it, the Summit editors made a horrible job editing it; not really with the grammar and all but how they tend to remove many important details out. That's why many readers are confused on how Meg "became a billionaire" when the obvious is that it was just all Dani's wealth. Still, even with this setback, the story stood and produced an excellent output worth 5 stars.

Ito ang pinakapaborito kong adult wattpad na nabasa ko. Sa totoo lang kapag nabasa mo ang buod parang trailer lang iyon marami pang plot twist sa kuwento. Ito ang love story na hindi basta-basta lang. Maraming tauhan dito na gusto ko at hindi ako masyadong galit sa kanila. Matalino at magaling magsulat ang manunulat. Gusto ko sana na magkaroon ng movie ito kaso nga lang baka mababoy lang.
