I love reading interviews with artists and authors, and David Anthony Kraft's massive collections from his Comics Interview magazine have been great to read. The interviews cover others in the industry - editors, retailers, fans - and the subject matter covers both the creative and business sides of comics making. It also becomes a fascinating look at the state of the industry over time, beginning in the early 80's, right when I was starting to really get into reading comics.
My only complaint would be format wise, it's a large and unwieldy book to carry around, though it reads smoothly enough that it's not too long of a slog to work through the 700 pages...
