Hot Ice #6

Misconduct

Hot Ice, Book 6

Manage the Vipers hockey team! Me? Well, that’s my role now. Shame a gorgeous, cocky-assed goaltender is testing my patience. Sweet cheeks—really, is that any way to refer to the boss? Dustin “Speed” Reed certainly seems to think so.

It’s okay though. I’ll escape to my billionaire father’s paradise retreat. Except Dustin decides to jump on for the ride. Then the tension really heats up, hotter than the scorching midday sun.

I want to slap him and kiss him. Push him away and rip off his clothes. The feeling is mutual—a potent cocktail of anger mixed with lust. I know we shouldn’t. It can’t end well, especially when I’m going give him the sack as soon as I push him out of it.

But what’s the fun in having rules if no one ever breaks them? I’ll take what I can, give him what he wants and worry about balancing the books tomorrow. Surely my heart will be fine.

This was a great read , though even after finishing it I’m still stunned it had a happy ending .
Dustin and Gina hated each other in the beginning, contention was rife .
But they grow and develop as characters and so does the relationship.
Excellent and enjoyable

I’ve adored all of Lily Harlem’s “Hot Ice” books so far, and Misconduct, the sixth in the series, is definitely no exception. Lily very skilfully tells each story about the Orlando Vipers as a standalone, but with other characters having cameos — meaning you don’t have to have read the previous books for the next to make sense, but it does give a more rounded picture. As I’ve read each book in order — for a change — this novel was simply another smokin’ hot addition to an intriguing world.

Misconduct tells the story of Gina Gunner, daughter of the owner of the Orlando Vipers. A family issue has brought Gina back from a sojourn in Paris and has put her firmly in charge of the hockey team. She’s got no experience, but she does have business sense and qualifications, so she’s happy to knuckle down and relish the challenge.

However, her job is quickly made difficult by the Vipers’ goaltender, Dustin “Speed” Reed. The cocky player seems intent on teasing Gina at every turn, making it hard for her to justify his extortionate salary. Soon, it gets too much and she needs to take a break, as well as go and check on her father. So she heads out to his paradise retreat in the Florida Keys, intending to relax and seek her father’s advice at the same time. The relaxation part is quickly scuppered when Dustin ends up going with her, also with the intention of speaking to her father. Then, when Mr Gunner has to leave temporarily, Gina and Dustin are left alone in the private retreat. The annoyance and tension between them quickly morphs into something else, and before long Gina is doing the very thing that goes most against her principles. But breaking the rules every once in a while can be fun.

Misconduct is another brilliant addition to the series. I loved the opening, right there at the heart of the action and the hints of what is to come. Both Gina and Dustin are great characters, with some fantastic dialogue and moments that had me laughing out loud — in a good way. This novel was a real page-turner with it’s great plot, fantastic characters, beautiful settings and page-melting sex. If you’re looking some smokin’ hot sports romance, then definitely check out Hot Ice. They are standalone reads, but I’d still recommend starting from book one and working your way through.

Loved it

I love the cast of characters that the author has created to fill the roster of this hockey team. In this book the goalie Dustin "Speed" Reed has gotten off on the wrong foot with the new manager and daughter of the owner. She has taken over control of the team and the first thing she notices is that the team is in the red and Dustin's contract is coming up for renewal for an obscene amount of money. She may have to see if their other goalie can do the job and trade him. Dustin doesnt like this idea so he decides to go talk to her father on his island where he is retired to, only Gina is going to the island at the same time and when they get there her father is waiting at the airport to leave for a doctors appointment.
So this leaves Gina and Dustin all alone in paradise wearing skimpy clothes fighting an attraction that won't go away. You know what happens, hot stuff! But they swear that everything will end when they leave the island. I can hardly wait for the next book

Misconduct by Lily Harlem
This is the sixth book in the Hot Ice Series. Have I told you how much I love this series? Well I totally do! I just love it when old characters come back in each book and new ones are introduced. What happens when you get a new female manager of a male hockey team? Well attitudes do happen with the cocky players but can the new manager handle the situation? If she gets her way with it she will handle the players just fine especially Dustin “Speed” Reed. What a smart mouth with a body that just won quit. How are you supposed to be professional with a man that looks like a god? Well in order to find out you are going to have to read it for your self. If you haven’t read this series yet than you most definitely need to do so.

After the Vipers owner has a heart attack his daughter Gina takes over the running of the team.

During the first pre game pep talk Dustin 'Speed' Reed seriously gets on Gina's nerves - how dare he speak to her, his boss, in that tone and with that look in his eyes.

Whilst trying to escape reality for a few days Gina heads to her fathers beach house - unfortunately Dustin appears on the scene. Both of them don't know whether to slap each other or rip each others clothes off - both want to be in control - who will give in?

Book 6 in the hot ice series and boy, it's just as good as the 5 before it. I totally love this series. This edition will leave you panting with lust. Lily holds no punches when it comes to the few sex scenes in the book. There may only be a few but OMG are the pantie melting hot.
This book and infact the whole series is definitely worth a read.

This is book 6 in the Hot Ice series

This one just wasn't my favorite..

Gina is the owner's daughter and ends up coming to help the team financial get out of trouble.. Dustin is the hotshot goalie who does nothing but annoy her..

They both end up going to visit her father at the Villa.. While there can these two that love/hate each other figure out their relationship?
