Mike Reardon, the repairman… Got a problem? Mike Reardon, the repairman, can fix it. And Owens-McKittrick, whose V.P. is Mike's old CO from Iraq, has a problem. Dope dealers run rampant in America's hottest new oilfield, the Bakken, and it's costing the company almost a million a year in accidents, off time, and workmen's comp premiums. Mike Readon, as a Marine, was taught to search and destroy, now he's got to do what he knows! Acclaimed action adventure writer L. J. Martin brings you the ultimate kick ass fiction...don't pick this one up unless you've got time to read cover to cover.

An LJM. Murder Mystery Adventure (AMRN. - TRSB -2)

LJM. had. penned the second novel in the Repairman series. MR. Is called by his old commander from Utah for an assist in the cleaning out the bad elements working around his oil company. He drives to North Dakota with his War Wagon, Motorcycle and F-250 prepared for war. He visits the bars and brothels until he knows the main characters then begins to eliminate the crooked good, bad and ugly. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Loved the book!

After getting one of the books for free in the series and not being able to put it down till I finished it I purchased the series so I could read them all! I truly enjoyed it but I won't start reading anymore of them at 10pm again. I've also read a couple of his western's which I also enjoyed, but didn't make the connection until I was looking at all the books he had written until I went to his Amazon authors page to see about getting the rest of the repairman series and was looking through all his books. I also plan on getting more of his western's once I finish this series. Thank you Mr Martin for the hours of enjoyment you've given me with your writing. I just wish I could afford to buy all your books right now to read them all in order!

Second of the Mike Reardon action novels. As with The Repairman, The Bakken is a very quick, fast paced read. And, as with The Repairman, Reardon's target is drug dealers. Not quite as violent as The Repairman, however. Again, very reminiscent of the pulp action thrillers of years past.

On the negative side, this book suffers from a lack of proper editing. Misused words, words left out of sentences, and a general lack of punctuation make for doubling back to reread a sentence or paragraph to get what the author was trying to convey.

Lots of action

Lots of action

This is a good follow up story to "the Repairman" and it continues the character development of Mike Reardon. The story relies on lots of amazing electronic information from his Vegas computer genius as well as lots of tools used in war making. I would like to see the primary characters fleshed out a bit more but still a very good read.

Bakken

A good read if you're interested in a lot of action without a lot of wondering what the plot is. I appreciated the fast pace of this and intend reading more of Martin's works as a probable quick read with action. No problem giving a recommendation.

A rip roaring ride through the Bakken, North Americs newest mother lode.

This is as close to reality as you can get from a fictional book. Martin has it right and the reader wins. Thank you Mr L.J. Martin for a fantastic read.

Another Good One

If you liked the Repairman you'll like this one too.
Mike is definitely a good character and L.J. makes him come to life.
