Cree Rivers has lived a hard life. After running away from an abusive father, she found herself on the streets with her sister. Prostitution wasn't glamorous, but it kept them fed. She was a realist, this was as good as it got. She didn’t expect things to change.

Chasing a lead, Carter Evans found himself face to face with Cree. She’s got something he needs. He'll do whatever it took to get it, even if that meant cheating, lying or stealing.

When they become entangled things get complicated. Can Cree trust the man that’s desperate for information? Can Carter get what he needs before his world topples?

I have a passion for storytelling. I write in a conversational tone that is often described as fun and easy. I love my characters to be easy to identify with and feel down to earth. Most of my characters have a girl-next-door feel.

This Jersey girl is happily married to a patient man who has the ability to sustain long hours of rambling thoughts spilling from me non-stop. With the company of my two dogs, I set my writing schedule around their inability to coordinate their potty breaks. :)

I have no problem with novella type books but this one and Rag Doll are just too short. Both books can be so much more. In this one it's Cree's story. At then end of Rag Doll Graham Kendle's boyfriend pays for a year stay at a hotel and you are not sure that Cree is going to take him up on the offer.

So when this one begins you find out she does and she has been staying there for just about a couple months this is where she meets Carter and just wants him to leave her alone. Carter finds himself in some trouble and has been sent to find Crystal (Cree's friend). He thinks if he gets to know Cree she will tell him where Crystal is.

One thing that was never explained is how did he know who Cree was? She asked the question hell even Kendle had the same question but it was never explained.

Felt like it ended with a cliffhanger only because you find yourself waiting to know if they ever really put the "monster" away? Does Cree every really find the peace that she is looking for? Where do her and Carter end up? His he truly out if debt with bad people he wronged?

I'm not sure if I will ever find out the answers these questions but I will read Crystal's story because I find myself waiting to know how she ended up on the streets and what really went on with the ppl that she is running from. I'm also hoping that we can really get some type of closure for Kendle and Cree's story.
