Tanith Grey goes to stay at Sebastian Lawrence’s mansion to value his rare book collection...she has a hidden agenda; he has a dark secret.

"Sebastian carries the scars of a dark secret.

He's more broken than I am but that just makes me want him more.

From the moment i saw his eyes, I surrendered to his decadence, his passion, and his quiet grace.

He is all I never knew I needed.

Our attraction is undeniable, our obsession inevitable; but i have broken his trust.'

This book had me so confused that I found myself having to read certain parts over and over again.
Tanith Grey is a authority on on rare books and is hired by Sabastian, a book collector to authenticate a few books that he wants to sell. Once there she immediately starts rummaging through his house looking for something. She appears to be very nosey and pries into the private life of a man that she doesn't even know.

In one part of the book, Tanith says that she has never been away from her husband before and in the same sentence, she says that he is often away on business.
In another part of the book, Tanith's husband Joseph just shows up with his bags, without calling or asking if it is okay to stay at a mans house that she is suppose to be working for.

Then there is the part where Tanith's husband tells her that Sabastian is a Widower, then later on the maid mentions his wife and Tanith asks if they are divorced and when the maid tells her that she is dead, Tanith has no clue about Sabastian being a widower. After reading up on his wife's death on the internet, she see's that he was once suspected of murdering her but, was cleared when it was ruled a Suicide. Later in the book she accuses Sabastian of killing his wife.

This book was so freakin' confusing that it was a struggle to get though but, in order for me to write and honest review, I had to read the whole thing.

How does a book like this get published? Do books get published so easily nowadays? Even those that lack merit?

Ridiculous plot. The characters are so wooden and lacking in actually feeling. Robotic sex scenes and a ridiculous ending that makes little sense...
