In the third installment of F. T. Bradley’s madcap spy series, troublemaker Linc Baker must infiltrate the set of a Hollywood blockbuster in order to thwart a plan for worldwide destruction.
Linc thought his undercover junior-spy days were behind him, with tons of boring studying ahead of him, but when supersecret government agency Pandora wants his help, he doesn't exactly have a choice. Sinister thief Ethan Melais is on the loose in Tinseltown, and it’s up to Linc to find him.
While on the job, Linc is snagged by a famous director to star in his movie. Add in “trying to impress the cute Hollywood starlet Savannah Stone” to Linc’s to-do list and this mission has suddenly become even more complicated. Linc’s look-alike agent nemesis, Ben Green, is also trying to stop Melais, but time is running out, and Linc can’t let Ben have all the fun!
With high-stakes spy adventure, Hollywood allure, and plenty of twelve-year-old snark, The Alias Men is arguably the most entertaining book in the series that ALA Booklist raves is “hilarious” and “authentic.”
Fleur (F.T.) Her story “The Perfect Alibi” appeared in Mystery Writers of America’s middle-grade anthology Super Puzzletastic Mysteries, edited by Chris Grabenstein (June 2020, HarperCollins). She regularly does school and Skype visits, as well as librarian and educator conference talks on reaching reluctant readers. This was a thrilling conclusion to the Double Vision Trilogy. Linc Baker is a great main character. He'll imaginatively break into a secret room, and then cleverly find an excuse for being there. Linc will do anything to get the job done (within reason). The plot kept me hooked at all times with a twist here, and another turn there. The mystery of the missing hat really threw me off. Ms. Bradley has written a very unique spy novel based on historical objects. It is a good way to get a kid into history.
This third installment in the Double Vision finds Lincoln Baker attending the annual Baker family reunion in Los Angeles. While there, spy agency Pandora, needs him for a quick task--retrieve another Dangerous Double while on a movie studio tour. Of course, Murphy's Law prevails, and Linc's quick task turns into a full-blown mission.
Everything I love about Linc is here. The action keeps the pace lively. Linc is still funny and doing his best to prove himself. Plus, we get to spend more time with the Baker family, even some of the extended family. Watching Linc interact with them brings even more to this character.
If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, number three will not disappoint.

Double Vision: The Alias Men by F.T. Bradley is probably one of the best spy novels I’ve read, and easily one of my favorite books this year. Linc was back again for another adventure centered on the latest mission Pandora has assigned him. There was no lack of danger and suspense as they worked against a tight deadline that had me flipping the pages as fast as I could read them. Full Review Here
The last book of the Double Vision series was a major blast! There were a bunch of suspects that will make you wonder who the real Ethan Melais was. To be honest, it took me a while to figure out who the real culprit was. A splendid work by F.T. Bradley! I will definitely miss this series. I might reread the books someday because I will definitely miss Linc and Ben even though Ben was a little pain. It's hard to say goodbye to the series. When I've seen the Epilogue, it literally made me cry when I've read the last page: "And about me. Agent Linc Baker. You believe me, right?" Come to think of it, I won't be cracking any more Pandora's cases and retrieving artifacts with Linc and Ben and our tech guy, Henry. This made me sad. But it ended so well. Gaaaah! I want to hug F.T. Bradley for her amazing job!
Thank you F.T. Bradley for sending me this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review 💕
Linc Baker thought his days with the top secret agency, Pandora, were over. Then he gets a call that he's needed immediately for a case in LA, because Benjamin Green (junior detective agent) is out of town. Luckily, Linc’s headed there with his parents for their annual family reunion. His mission is to find a “Dangerous Double”, a bowler hat which belonged to Charlie Chaplin, a famous movie star from the 1920s. The hat has powers that will allow the criminal, Ethan Melais, to complete his sinister plan. Linc has a clue where the hat is, and his plan is to nab it while on a tour of a Hollywood studio. Things become more complicated when he can't get the Dangerous Double and a famous director decides he must have Linc in his movie. This could be his chance to get closer to the Dangerous Double and figure out who the elusive Ethan Melais is, but it definitely is not making things easier with the Baker Family Reunion. Add his nemesis, Benjamin Green, on to the scene and things become a whole lot more stressful. Linc wonders if he'll ever get the recognition he deserves and worries that now that the “real junior detective” is back in town he’ll be pushed aside. Will the dangerous double be found? Will Ben and Linc ever bury the hatchet between them? Who is Ethan Melais, and will he ever be found? Read this page turning action-packed book to find out!
I was so excited to read the third book in the Double Vision series: The Alias Men by F.T. Bradley. Having enjoyed Linc’s other adventures, I knew this would be no different. It was great getting back into the detective business and finding out a little bit more about “old” Hollywood. I've always thought Linc was a cool guy, and I appreciate his fly by the seat of your pants type of detective work. But I also like Benjamin Green’s systematic method of keeping track of a suspect. Their rivalry seems very believable and they each add to the story. I also thought it was fun to get to know Linc’s grandfather better, and the young starlet from the movie set, Savannah, kept Linc on his toes. I recommend this book to kids in grades four and up who like adventure, spy themes, suspense, and a little bit of danger in the books they read. I've enjoyed every book I've read by F.T. Bradley and look forward to reading her next book. I think this might be the last book in the series, but I hope I'm wrong. I would love to read more about Linc!
As you may or may not know that I started this series in 2018. At first, I wasn't so into it but I really loved the plotline and the protagonist. Now? I WANT THE AUTHOR TO WRITE A FOURTH BOOK! PLEASE!!!
The story will force you to think about the suspect other than anything else.
This time, Linc was with his entire family and relatives for a 'Baker's reunion' in California but things started going real bad when Agent Black called him for another Pandora Mission. Only this time, our temporary junior agent Baker got the chance to be in a movie. To make matters worse, the criminal of Dangerous Double was a memeber of the crew in the set. This time the dangerous double was Charlie Chaplin's bowler hat.
The culprit of this book is hard to find. You will keep on wondering and won't be able to figure it out. Honestly, I did think the real culprit was the culprit but then my thoughts faded as I continued with this book.
But Wow. Just Wow How do you even manage to pull off the story like that?
The ending was fantastic. It was logical and made me happy that Linc is finally doing what he wants to do (yes, even though his job is perilous)
But I would certainly miss this series and Linc of course ❤
ISBN-13: 9780062104434 Again, F.T. Bradley delivers. “Double Vision – The Alias Men” is the third book in her “double vision” series and it is an excellent book; easily just as good as the first two: “Double Vision”, which is set in Paris; and “Double Vision – Code Name 711” set in Washington, D.C.
Although the target age for the book is 12 and up, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is entertaining, easy to read and just plain fun. I did not want to put it down until it was finished. With so many books these days with a sci-fye theme, this book is just an old fashioned spy game. Again, this book is such fun to read!! Easily recommended. (reviewed by P.Howard)

Great! Although, personally I preferred the first in the series (a 6-star book), just because it had more novelty. Anyway, this book was still very interesting. 5 stars for continuing one of my favorite series successfully, and being a good book itself. P.S. I think maybe a quick epilogue of what happened to Linc next
The thrilling trilogy of double vision comes to an end with another amazing plot. During this final book, linc gets on this case against a real trickster Ethan Melias. This plot had plenty of twists and turns making you wonder if and when linc would catch Mr. Melias. There was never a dull moment, something was always going on whether it was almost dieing or crashing a party, quite literally, breaking in, or simply just making bad, or good decisions. Overall double vision the alias men was a well crafted book, with a fascinating plot.
The Alias Men is the third in the Double Vision trilogy. You do not have to read the first two to enjoy this one. F. T. Bradley has crafted a story that keeps you interested and included history in such a way that it is exciting. It is a spy novel using children as the spies and using historical objects. It is written for ages 8- 12 . It is a wonderful way to make history interesting.
I received a copy of this thru Goodreads Giveaways.
I love this series. I am constantly recommending it to the kids at school and at the library. It is never ever on the shelf! Linc is called upon again to help the government...he thought his spy life was over but it seems that he can't catch a break!
Age: 9-14 The main character is constantly being chased by the villain. His life is at risk and he is attacked multiple times. It is an action pact book is not very scary but is still interesting traders, kidnappers and double agents and comedy. As a 12 years old I enjoyed this book very much.
The last book in this spy series. Really? His parents are not very responsible and this would never happen in real life. Too many impossible things in this spy series sorry but it isn't my favorite.
