Shadow And Light

Rate this book
“Shadow and Light” is a collection of short stories exploring what can happen when something hidden, from ourselves, from others, or from all, is made apparent in a critical moment.
“Forever” examines a poignant moment of discovery for a young couple in love.
“Home” reveals the intense attachment a teenage boy has for the place he was raised, and what he does when he is forced to leave it.
“The Miracle” is the story of a young man of great faith, who demonstrates the intensity of his faith to all when he sets out on an ill fated journey to view a revelation from God.
“Family Honor” is the story of a man prepared to sacrifice everything to preserve the honor of his family.
"The Kudzu Thicket" describes the discovery of a long held family secret in the south.
“Another Fine Day” tells the story of a man who, in a moment of crisis, must decide whether his life has meaning or not. The story is an examination of the “quiet desperation” said to be felt by most of us.
A couple of these stories have a slight Spanish / latin flavor to them and are influenced by the Peruvian half of my heritage.
