Rate this book
Efficient design management depends on two inter-related the management of the creative organisation (practice management) and the management of the individual projects (project management). The book examines the relationship between the management of creative design projects and creative design offices from a practical perspective. The aim is to inspire the reader while also providing simple and practical guidance. Emphasis is on process and people and case studies will be used to illustrate different approaches as one approach will not suit everyone. The creative management of projects is covered in Part 1 and the creative management of offices in Part 2 with practical sections at the end of each chapter which highlight important considerations for the 'project-to-office interface ' and the 'office-to-project interface '. Detailed (and critical) case studies are used to illustrate different approaches to the management of projects and offices.
