Harper Bliss is a best-selling lesbian romance author. Among her most-loved books are the highly dramatic French Kissing and the often thought-provoking Pink Bean series. She is the co-founder of My LesFic, a weekly newsletter offering discount deals on lesbian fiction.
Harper lived in Hong Kong for 7 years, travelled the world for a bit, and has now settled in Brussels (Belgium) with her wife and photogenic cat, Dolly Purrton.
Together with her wife, she hosts a weekly podcast called Harper Bliss & Her Mrs.
Pretty hot, indeed. Didn't set me on fire, but that's surely because the buildup of a relationship is half the turn-on for me. This is purely sex and that's okay, too.
I believe this is my first reading of Harper Bliss. If she has any other femme/femme content, my credit card is ready!
Wow...what a hot hot read.......talk about a sexy, sensual and so wanting to do it fantasy!!!!!!!
I love this author's writing. It's so good. And ...another wow....does she know how to write amazing, steamy, awesome f/f stories....the sex scenes...what...incredible..that's what they are.
I just so wish she would write full lenght novels....i adore her f/f short stories so much...in fact she's my favourite author of this genre...which there aren't that many out there.
I also love her characters and in this story....would have loved to continue with some more....here's hoping. And so enjoy the locations and settings she uses in her stories.
Enough....you get the picture.......I love Harper Bliss's stories.
Compelling f/f erotica. Didn't seem fair though - a woman paying another woman for hot sex. A man couldn't pay me enough for sex, but a woman not a dime ;o}
Olivia's lover Veronique' has left. Leaving Olivia looking for her. When her best friend gives her a phone number to call. Scarlet is an "escort" . And she gives pleasure. As Olivia finds out. Great sex!!! 5 stars!
A short story, most of which takes place in a single afternoon. Harper Bliss really knows how to write her sex scenes, but I feel like putting them all in one place is a bit overwhelming. To be fair, I had a feeling it would be like this, so I read each "scene" on a different day, and I think that helped me appreciate the story more.
The following is going to be a spoiler, but I'll hide it.
A friend suggested to try something different. But could she do something like that? It was an earthshaking experience for Olivia. It did fulfill all her fantasies and more. This was a very hot and explicit description of hot sweaty activities. Yes, I loved it.
Harper Bliss delivers a professional product. She's been doing this for a while, and of course you'd expect someone with years of experience under her belt, not to mention a devoted following, to be hitting the mark with every fresh release.
But this book - Hired Help - was first published in 2012. And it's an impressive offering, right up with Harper's current catalogue. In fact, according to Harper's website, it was her very first e-book title.
The action starts in the first paragraph. Olivia has been without a lover for months. She's horny and looking for release, but self-pleasure isn't what she's after.
Her friend Sam offers her a solution, if she'll only just take a certain action.
The tension builds, and it's a third of the way in before we get to the meat of the book. After that, it doesn't let up, not for a page.
An interesting and innovative way of building tension and uncertainty. Harper Bliss is all about lesbian affairs, and this delivers that in spades, but we lucky readers are unsure as to what each chapter will bring. Olivia isn't in charge of what comes next - or who comes next, though it's mostly her - and we ride along with her own eager thoughts on pleasure and release.
Good, solid sex, delivered with style and grace. This is a book you can read in one hit - so to speak - but there's enough good bits that you could get two out of it, not to mention any return visits.
Due to the nature of the plot, it's not really romance as well as sex, but it's sweet and emotional enough for that. It ends with a kiss, let's leave it at that.
Like all of Harper's stories, this is good stuff. No disappointments. No problems with grammar or spelling, no awkwardness. Five sexy stars!
A short and spicy story following a woman desperate for some release after a breakup leaves her in a dry spell, who hires a by-referal-only high-end and very expensive sex worker. I quite enjoyed the way the story gaves us an insight into Olivia's broken heart at first and the writing is good. Most of this book is sexy and if you enjoy femmexfemme cis erotica with very little kink, but a lot of orgasms this short story might entertain you as well. I don't much care for super rich characters and while I know they too can feel human emotions it is hard for me to feel too much empathy for a character, who has "millions in the bank", so that was unfortunately a personal problem for me. I also wish there had been at least a little bit of negotiation in what was going to happen during the encounter before and that the end had been a bit less abrupt. But I really like that Olivia didn't get weird about Scarlet's work (besides her own initial reluctance to hire someone) and that this little short story managed to build a connection between the two characters.
Short and hot, though I don't think it's Bliss' best work. It was published in 2012 and it shows. The writing is not on par with the author's most recent works, but that's not to say it's bad in any way. I just noticed the improvement. I didn't care much for Olivia, but I was intrigued about Scarlet and I would've want more of her! That's why I always have a hard time with short stories. I always want more...
A short (30-page) read that details the steamy encounter between Olivia, who is looking for sexual release after her girlfriend walked out on her months prior, and Scarlet - the sexy “hired help”.
It’s a whole lot of whoa in a short amount of time. :)
Short story (30 pages). Months after her girlfriend leaves Olivia, a friend passes along a number for an escort named Scarlet. Most of the story is spent on their hours together. Received courtesy of the author for signing up for her newsletter. (3.5 Stars)
3 stars. This was sexy but there was something about the dynamics between Olivia and Scarlett that was just a bit off to me. Not sure why but the sex scenes were super hot because of course they were.
Harper Bliss can write sexual adventures that steams windows and this book doesn't disappoint. I can't write anymore because it would spoil a book that should be read. Oh my!
Good, as far as it went. But it's basically a short introduction, with the rest of the story being an hours-long sex scene. I was hoping for a little more story and a little less play-by-play.
