I liked that the artist explained how he made the works.

Robert Ryman's work is not for those who don't appreciate contemporary art. If you find yourself in a gallery with his work you'll probably hear comments like "My five year old daughter could have painted that." Or, "That looks like the living room wall I just primed last week."

When asked about the medium he paints in, Ryman has been known to specify "white paint." I love his work because it's not about painting a beautiful landscape or portrait, it's about the process, the interaction of materials, and the texture of the way he applies the white paint. To Ryman, his art is a true exploration - this book shows what a wonderful adventure it is.
