Loved this book too; especially the personal aspect for the characters, the killer/ mystery of the story got me a little since the way it happened is like a nightmare of mine. The return to Salem wasn't just an emotional homecoming for Elizabeth but for Ethan and Callen too. It brought them many up's and down's. Cyra and Chris' journey was fun to see develop and unfold even more than the previous book. Ready to see book 9 and all the things it brings :)

The subject matter of cannibalism in this one was a little hard for me to read. But ..I still love the series and the author and will keep reading her books. I'm just kinda glad to be finished with this one.

the identity of this murdering cannibal came as a complete and utter surprise. our favorite M.E. finds love and danger. re-read today for the third time.
