For Her Firstborn

Rate this book
There are easier ways to start a family.
Dee Riverflower has always wanted to be a mother, but as a tiny hauflin living in a dangerous world, she knows the risks of bringing a child into their vulnerable community.
The solution? Summon a demon, bargain with him, and carry his child. The demonic blood will grant the child enough power to survive, and Dee can have the family she craves.
But as Dee gets to know the demon Ingron, she finds herself drawn to his unexpected kindness and interest in her. What should have been merely a transaction shifts into something deeper, and Dee begins to dread the day their bargain is fulfilled.
Is the loss of Ingron a sacrifice Dee is willing to make for her firstborn child? Is there any way she can keep them both?
For Her Firstborn is a fantasy romance novelette perfect for fans of Critical Role and Baldur’s Gate 3.

A cute, short read about summoning a demon to boink him ;-) Set in a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired world with magic and all sorts of humanoid peoples. For Her Firstborn is mostly romance and relationship, but expect some adventuring flashbacks, too!

Spice level is low! It's very fade-to-black with a couple quick sexual references sprinkled throughout. IMO perfectly acceptable for older teens and above.

Content Warnings: very mild sexual content. fantasy violence. allusions to fantasy racism. allusions to rape and sexual violence. (planned) pregnancy.
