Thirty-two-year-old Autumn Saffron is settling into her life. She has never known a decision that was too risky. Much like her teenage years, she’s still as impulsive as ever.
Move to a new city for a change of scenery.Fall head over heels for a new guy.Move in together. So when her new boo takes her to lunch, getting dumped is the last thing on her mind. Stranded in the rain, she’s ready to lose her mind until she meets a kind stranger. Jack Hawk is a hopeless romantic, so when he meets the beauty crying in the rain, he doesn’t hesitate to intervene.
Boy meets girl… Boy falls hard… What could go wrong?
Please pick up this book. You ever read a book and when you get to the end you just kinda sit there because there’s no way you just read what you just read? That’s this book for me. That was a ride and the ending was especially twisted. Was I not paying attention? Did I miss clues? Is the sky red?
This was good and I needed a break from romance. Break over…..bring me an HEA immediately. I’m a Nicole Whitfield fan, excited to see where her pen takes me next.
Alright Miss Whitfield, can you say mind f**k? Yes, cause that's what happened to me with this one! Cause what in the hell did I just read? 👀 Wow! I felt for Autumn when Greg dismissed her in such a public, and humiliating way. But when Jack came to her rescue, I thought okay girl, your luck is turning around.
Poor Jack! This man wanted love so bad that he was ready to move this stranger into his house hours after meeting her. All seemed well at first, Jack and Autumn growing closer, and their friendship was possibly turning into more. Then Greg began popping up, and Jack's behavior became unusual and strange. Pushing his friends and family away, and only leaving room for Autumn. Now I'm wondering who is the villain here? I'm confused as hell!
That ending did me in honey, cause IKYFL!!!!!! 🤬 What??? For ish and giggles? Just why? I swear I lost a bit of my own sanity after this read! Is the sky really blue? 🤷🏾♀️ Damn!
As I read this story, I could tell something was haywire with Autum. At first, I missed the pieces the author sprinkled in the tea... Yeah, Jack met the one he planned to be with for who would imagine, and we thought that was Autum. You need to pay attention to the quirky side of the story, because those are clues. Although, I saw the truth before it was revealed, I was still taken aback by the audacity.
Like others have said, I can't write much in my review without spoiling it. But I enjoyed this. I should have figured it out sooner than I did, but when it clicked--it CLICKED
I read this bad boy in three hours. Still shaking my head, because this story is insanely good! Lots of shocking twists and turns in this crazy vs. crazy journey.
Autumn moves to a new city, and falls in love. Sweetie Pie takes her to lunch and then dumps her. But sometimes when one window closes, a door opens and in walks Jack Hawk.
*****I have to stop here so I don't give anything away but highly recommended!!!!!!
The author’s note is the key component to this because otherwise you’ll get tricked too. This was a really entertaining read and I like how you know and you know you know but there is just enough to make you wonder if you’re wrong. Pacing wise I’d call it moderate, but it has me in the edge of my set. The two things that I kind of needed or wished were different is at the end I would have liked more backstory and understanding of Autumn from a reliable source. Like does anyone else know? And second some justice. There is no indication that this would continue (even tho we now know it does) and I would have enjoyed it more if there was some sense of justice. Otherwise this was a pretty intriguing read.
What did I just read. I definitely wasn't expecting things to turn out this way. Autumn definitely had me fooled until I started noticing the little things going on. She knows how to play the game to get what she wants. This story will have you shaking and scratching your head like WHAT! NO WAY! Don't want to give too much away, but once you start reading, you won't stop. Highly recommend.
I--- no really what did i read???? Fall was... i... there are really no words to say except read it and then look at nicole crazy bc that's where i am at with it 😂😂
