but lmk what are your thoughts what do you want to see the most?
slowest burn ever😫 but honestly such a good book i barely put it down. i read this so fast it was a binge read the ending- i’m gone SOOOO GOOODDDDD one of my faves now
i thourighly enjoyed reading theese books. i couldn’t recommend them more but also not recommend them more. i enjoyed reading about Johnny and Shannon their relationship has a very special place in my heart. i enjoyed reading about johnnys yearning. omg get me a man like him! he cares so much for her and tries to understand everything that she’s been through. he takes his time with her and is a genuine soul. he doesn’t rush her thoughts and takes time with her sharing. it killed me off when i read the line ‘johnny was asleep’. but i’m glad he remembered later on. Also LOVED when johnny called shannon his wife in the hospital truly heartwarming. keeping 13 was my favourite of the series because it’s such a classic i understand how there are stronger books than this one but it will always have a special place in my heart that can’t be replaced. I enjoyed reading about joey and aoifes relationship. joey spent the main parts of his life being a parent and dealing with his own as well. i feel truly sorry for him and all the battles he has had to fight. i understand why he would consume so many drugs, just to take some weight off of his shoulders. but i swear if i ever come in contact with shane holland ill genuinely kill him. i dislike that man with all my heart, same as kevin and paul. even though paul had his redemption arc, throughout the book he seriously disrespected aoife and shouldn’t have done things to her that she wasn’t coumftourable with. hate danielle aswell. i find it so heartbreaking the scene when aoife thought it was joey in the kitchen and it was teddy when he bent her over. so glad joey came in time. i have mixed feelings about marie i understand that she tried to be a good mother but she genuinely and truly failed and i’m sorry to say that she could’ve had such a lovely life with her kids but the main person to blame is teddy. no amount of words can describe how much i hate that man. he js truly irrelevant. redeeming 6 is my second favourite of the series. i get how it’s similar to keeping 13 but that’s what i like about it. how we get both perspectives. i felt so bad for aoife throughout the book being with joey was truly killing her but him being either her was a breath of fresh air. she had to pull him out of a drug den while she was pergnant. she fought a battle for shannon and joey told her to run off. theese books had a true influence on me and i couldn’t be hhspoier because you get so many mixed opinions CHLOE RELEASE CLAIMING!

I just love this book series! Everything reminds me of on of those couples or characters. My favourite female characters are definitely Lizzie and Aofie but I also understand Shannon. I feel like I’m going to like Katie too but I just haven’t seen enough of her. I’m not thick and understand that what Lizzie said and did wasn’t right, so I don’t defend her blindly but still I understand her actions because she’s been through so much that I am wondering how she gets up every morning…And Aofie is just iconic (no comment) My favourite male characters are Joey and Johnny (no explanation needed..) I just love em both but if I had to choose it’d probably be Joe… Well my favourite couple is Aofie and Joe BUT I feel like Jonny and Shans Relationship is the healthiest… My favourite thing about this series is that every character has an own trauma and it just taught me that you never know how a person is really feeling, even the ones you think you know everything about.
okay, i’m just going to use this because goodreads has the old covers on the individual books and i’m not about to have my friends see those💀
binding 13- pros this book was so full of emotions. raw and honest romance, sibling love, parental love and hate, etc. i cried a few times reading this. also loved that there was a few pages just to explain early 2000’s irish slang terms in the beginning, that was helpful. side characters add a lot to the story (gibsie and claire <3). also the “who did this to you” thing!
cons it was so cringy at times. shannon keeps talking about how she’s so tiny and “not like other girls.” like i get where she was going with that but… it wasn’t it. and the amount of time johnny spent talking about his injury… i don’t really want to hear about how much your groin hurts johnny. i get that it really really hurts but why not hide it from us like you hid it from everyone else? that way we don’t have to read it. i love the “who did this to you” trope but i feel like johnny asked that so many times. and i know shannon didn’t want to tell him because obviously it was her father but johnny was pushing it quite a bit.

best books. top 4. Releasing 10 was shit (atleast for me) I am a Lizzie hater for life and I genuinely need to read the next hughie x lizzie book to have a better opinion about her because right about now I hate her. Taming 7? Was a mess. horrible mess. Felt like an introduction to a horrible book called Releasing 10. Claire and Gibsie deserve so much better. Anyhow being genuinely honest these are the top 4 you should read them right about now.
I first picked up binding 13 in the summer of 2024. When I read it my entire life changed. These books have made me feel so heard, seen and loved. I hope chloe continues to post more of these stories ASAP.
The way the author was able to write such beautifully heart breaking stories needs to be studied because my poor heart broke completely reading these (for far I’ve re read twice). Joey and Johnny are by far my favourite boyfriends and constantly live rent free in my head
This is probably the best series ever! It deserves all the hype and it genuinely got me out of the biggest reading slump of my life! I am emotionally attached to these books now though..
