pros
this book was so full of emotions. raw and honest romance, sibling love, parental love and hate, etc. i cried a few times reading this. also loved that there was a few pages just to explain early 2000’s irish slang terms in the beginning, that was helpful. side characters add a lot to the story (gibsie and claire <3). also the “who did this to you” thing!

cons
it was so cringy at times. shannon keeps talking about how she’s so tiny and “not like other girls.” like i get where she was going with that but… it wasn’t it. and the amount of time johnny spent talking about his injury… i don’t really want to hear about how much your groin hurts johnny. i get that it really really hurts but why not hide it from us like you hid it from everyone else? that way we don’t have to read it. i love the “who did this to you” trope but i feel like johnny asked that so many times. and i know shannon didn’t want to tell him because obviously it was her father but johnny was pushing it quite a bit.

This is probably the best series ever! It deserves all the hype and it genuinely got me out of the biggest reading slump of my life! I am emotionally attached to these books now though..
