Falling Embers

"My Angel."

I still hear him whispering in the darkness. A haunting echo of a voice I prayed would never return but longed to hear again. He said he loved me, then he left, disappearing without a trace, taking my heart with him.

Ten years later, I finally found the courage to let people in and allowed myself to love, which may just be my biggest mistake. I should have known that not even having the formidable Burning Ashes MC at my back would be enough to survive.

I should have known.

Really enjoyed this one 🖤

Ember has quite the traumatic past after spending 4 years in captivity from age 10 being SA'd by her kidnapper. Despite this, she grows into quite the badass. She's an assassin and doesn't let much get to her.

I loved Scalp/Sam 🥰 the adorable psycho who helped her when they found her at 14 and has been by her side, devoted and in love with her ever since. He's her rock.

The rest of the guys we are getting to know alongside Ember. With two more contenders having been thrown in towards the end that I'm curious about.

Also curious how the MC will work out when her harem once complete could have 3 Prez's, 2 VPs (or was it 3 I can't remember now lol). That may be problematic 😅 Especially when frenzy named Scalp his VP so their chapter will have no leadership if they stay in San Diego.
