I loved this one. It was amazing just like all the other books. I loved what she did to find her peace and Slash damn the man can make my jaw drop. I can't wait for the next book.
I ove the characters of this series and the women who bring them peace and love. Dove has been through hell and back and is scared to death that she will be taken again and used again. When Slash and the guys rescue her and Raine, everything changes for both her and Slash. Slash has been feeling lonely and wishing for his own woman, but when they rescue Raine, he finds her and will do anything to protect her, help over come her abuse and finally love her for all time. Dave and Slash clash and neither know how to help and its tearing Slash apart at the seems. Dove brings him peace and soothes him in a way he hasn’t had before. With trouble and danger still at the forefront, they work thur their issues with help of their friends and family. When they find the people responsible for her abuse all hell brakes loose and Slash puts here daemons to rest in hell where they belong.
Too much pain and damage to overcome? Not for this MC alpha
Is it too little, too late for Slash and Aria? In Slash's Dove (Hunter's Creek Archangels Warriors MC Book 11) by Ciara St. James, Slash's (Kai) patience, tenacity, determination, persistence and steadfastness is put to the ultimate test. Aria is so mired in her trauma, she is nearly unreachable. Thanks to the consistent, kind, patient and accepting actions of Slash and most of the MC, Aria slowly comes out of near impenetrable fog of pain and trauma. Ciara St. James delivers another action and emotional-packing MC romance; steam, suspense, angst, fear, anger, healing, love and devotion are just a fraction of what to expect to feel from this book. She brings it all to life with her characters. As a long standing series, there are multiple couples that make appearances and provide tons of support. It truly is one big extended, found and chosen family. I enjoyed this book a great deal. While I have read all the books in this series to date (and felt truly invested in Aria because of that), one doesn't necessarily need to read all the books before. That said, this series (and all this author's other series) are in their own rights, great reads so feel free to binge! In fact, I absolutely encourage you to do so. But I digress! The plot is well thought out; the suspense, action, steam and heart felt moments are intentional, and perfectly timed for this couple as well as the book as a whole. Overall, I love Slash for Aria and Aria for Slash. Aria's suffering, while unequivocally awful, also brought her to Slash and this wonderful group of people that are Hunters Creek Archangels Warriors MC. Each book is a fantastic page turner that delivers a satisfying resolution and HEA, Slash's Dove included. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
Slash’s Dove is the 11th installment in Ciara St. James’ Hunter Creek Archangel’s Warriors. In this biker romance, Ms. St. James chronicles the romantic journey of Aria and Slash. Slash is a member of the Hunter Creek Archangel’s Warriors MC. His MC have been trying to put an end to the Cannibals, a ruthless and evil MC that prey on women. The Cannibals kidnapped Joker’s old lady and his little girl. Diego, helped the the little girl escape. Then another hostage, Aria, who was used as a sex slave helped Joker’s old lady escape. The Warriors took out have the the Cannibals. The rest went into hiding. The Warriors are searching for them and are waiting to take out Josiah, who is Aria’s half-brother told the Cannibals to kidnap her and hold her until he was released from prison. Finally, the Warriors get their hands on Josiah and Slash seeks his revenge on the trauma and harm his MC but Aria through. Will the Warrior’s annihilate the rest of the Cannibals? Can Slash help Aira to heal her emotional wounds? Will Aria come to trust and love Slash? To find out what unfolds, you must read this book.
Ms. James pens a riveting biker romance with strong multi-layered lead characters. Her lead characters are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. I enjoyed watching their growth as this story progressed. I liked the strong dialog. I appreciated the dual point of view to tell their back stories. Ms. James’ use of descriptive language paints vivid scenes like the one wherein Aria runs away and seeks coverage in the trees. Well done, Ms. James.
I enjoyed it, but really not very well written, about such a huge amount of trauma.
To be honest I really struggled with this one. It’s way too depressing. It stuck with me and not in a good way, after I had finished it. It sort of felt like the author was trying to make Aria’s torture as bad as possible. If you know what I mean.
In the previous book of Rayne and Joker we met Aria. Aria has been kept as a prisoner for a year and a half by a rival Mc. They did awful things to her, tortured her, and raped her, that quite honestly I can’t see anyone getting over that. Especially as: she was so innocent when she was taken. Yes she does have counselling but I’m not convinced that it would be enough.
Slash falls madly in love with Aria when he rescues her from the Mc that she was a prisoner of. Aria has really bad ptsd and at times she relives what happened to her. It’s awful.
The danger from the other Mc is over way too quickly and really rushed. Most of the book is about Aria and her trauma, and I’m sorry but it’s too much. It’s depressing. I felt really traumatised reading it, but then at times it felt way too over the top. Think Kathy Bares in Misery and you get the picture.
One last thing there’s a few plot mistakes that I’ve never noticed from this author before.
Aria and slash book we met aria In jokers book as she help reina. Now living with warriors aria is trying to repair her life but that isn't easy when the nightmares of her life are still out there somewhere living in the shadows and she is trying to worn out who she can trust with all this happening around her and what had happen to her it is no wonder that her metal state has been affect so badly the mental scares are deeper more deeper than than the physical ones but can she with the warriors and those around her help put her back together and find her own sense of peace and HEA
Slash has been a member of the warriors for many years and like many of his club brother home and other chapters and even some of his friends from other clubs he wants to settle and have that family he has always wanted and when her rescues a women from a burning building that is the cause of her demons he knows in his body heart and sole this is the women he wants and desires to spend his life with but they have a long road ahead but with the clubs and their friends help that HEA is there to be had just needs to stand and grab it.
This was another great read emotional story and great read
This was a struggle for me to finish. Sometimes CSJ books are a hit or miss. Well, Aria and Slash was a miss for me. The author pushes out at least 1 book a month and they are all starting to sound the same just insert different characters names. The Dublin Falls chapter was wrapped up perfectly. It gave a nice conclusion to the series. But with Hunters Creek it just feels like there is nothing left for this author to write that hasn’t been written about in her other MC books. The trauma Aria faced just felt like it was for shock and awe factor with the way it was written. The writing was subpar at best. Not something that is usually expected from this author. Idk, maybe it’s me but this book is a pass for me. Took me 7 days just to get through 50% of the book. Just skimmed to the end. Don’t want to give it the dreadful 1⭐️ because this did take time and effort to write which I can respect. So, I’m not rating at all and just leave it at that.
Slash's Dove is a heartbreaking and healing story. Slash is patient, determined, and loving when it comes to Aria. She has a lot of demons to battle before she can love herself and Slash. It will take a bit for it to come around, but it does and then the healing part of the story kicks in.
I love Ciara's books and I truly believe there is nothing she can't write and bring to her readers that won't make you sit up and see the world in a different light. She takes the hard subjects and writes a wonderful story that may have you crying your eyes out, but in the end it will also heal your heart to know that there are people in the world that care, and will be patient enough to show that care and love.
I loved this story and I always look forward to books by Ciara. She's an awesome writer and her books are always at the top of my TO READ LIST!
There are so many emotions in this story; fear, heartbreak, joy and happiness. Aria and Slash's book is intense and deals with some very difficult situations. Ciara did a great job of handling them with sensitivity and honesty. Their journey toward happily ever after is not a smooth or easy one. There are setbacks and misunderstandings but they do eventually get there. Aria is a very strong female character to have survived what she did. Slash is patient and understanding while helping her to heal. There is some steam in this book but it is a slow, loving process. Even with how she was when he rescued her he felt a connection between them. For him it was a case of insta-love but she needed time to be able to accept and return his feelings. In the end, they triumph over all the evil they encountered and we get our HEA. This book is well worth reading and I do very much recommend it.
Each and every book just seems to get better and better. A fantastic story that made me laugh, cry, and burst with joy for both slash and most specially his dove. I recommend this series as an amazing biker, redemption, love, get you not under the collar and wishing all men were time these guys kind of books. The only down side to this book and it is truly the only down side especially after reading all the other books is that the end felt kind of rushed after such an amazing story I was just wishing that the ending was a little more padded out with what happens (not going to give away anything to good to give hints) to them. But superb book and now I have to wait so looong for Player's story can't wait for him to be brought to his knees by his woman you just know she will own him lol.
Slash’s Dove is the 11th book in the Hunters Creek Archangel’s Warriors MC series and follows Slash as he gets to know Aria, who was rescued alongside Raina at the end of the last book, and slowly tries to win her trust after the ordeal she has been through.
This book was a lot slower paced than the previous books but with everything that we find out Aria has been through I was actually glad it was this way. Not only did we get to see Slash and Aria’s journey as a couple, but also Aria’s recovery with the Warriors and how she managed to find some strength within herself again. The story was good, it really touched me and I found it was very well written and thought out. I loved that characters and how everything was dealt with.
Overall, this was another good read and one I would recommend.
The trauma Aria has suffered is embedded in her very bones. When the Warriors rescue her, the only thing holding her together is Slash's devotion and growing love. She has a long way to go to reclaim her life and the club is there for her and Slash. Slash and Aria were definitely made for each other. I know she wouldn't have survived without the family she found with Slash and the club. This book had me close to tears several times, my heart hurting for Aria. This author is one of my favorites and this book is a perfect example of why. Each person's journey through horrific or damaging incidents is individual and CSJ illustrates at every opportunity. A beautiful story of a wounded dove and her biker savior!
Wow! Slash and Aria’s story was one that was expected after the last book but my goodness… what a story! This one was tough. Please heed the trigger warnings the author thoughtfully put at the beginning. Aria’s tale is very difficult and heartbreaking. It makes you cheer for her along the way and celebrate with her at the end. Slash - what can I say about this man? Wow. Just wow. He is simply amazing, wonderful, stupendous and every other positive adjective you can think of. Together, you are going to be rooting for this couple and giving a standing ovation at the end of the book. Outstanding read!!!!
Ciara sure knows how to pull us in every time! I must admit this was not an easy book to read. My heart broke & I did share a lot of tears over Aria & all she had been through & for Slash aka Kai for his love for her too. I loved how the whole club came together for them both & helped them through such a rough emotional time. Though this is just a book I know evil does exist in this world & Aria's story happens more than is reported in our real world. My heart breaks for all the Aria's out there who have experienced such evil & pray that they find healing, their own peace & happiness too.
Will Slash's devotion be enough to heal Aria's emotional scars, or will their pasts tear them apart? Ciara St. James masterfully writes a story that's a rollercoaster of emotions, blending action, suspense, and romance in Slash's Dove. As part of an incredible series, this book offers a reunion with well loved characters, each with their own story to tell if you haven't read this series. With its well-balanced plot and heartfelt moments, Slash's Dove is a shining example of the power of love.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty deep book. I enjoy pretty much all of the characters well there were a few that I didn't care for. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, overcoming and believing in yourself. I enjoyed Slash and Aria story. He was there for her and very understanding of her and her turmoil, she went through. I think the author did an awesome job putting these two characters together. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Aria has survived so much already and that brings her to the attention of Slash, these two are perfect for each other. Slash is super patient with Aria which is exactly what she needs to overcome what she has had to endure. Lots of emotions and action in this book, and of course a happily ever after. Ciara has done a wonderful job with a difficult subject matter and once again has produced a 5 star book 🖤❤️
I love Ciara St James' books and this is good but slightly gruesome. Aria is rescued from another biker club where she's been brutally abused. In this book, unlike others, she does bear its aftermath as she recovers with Slash's help. It is a romance too with a HEA. The only thing I didn't like was the daddy reference otherwise readers should bear in mind the authors disclaimer before they read.
Aria's life has been a torment of abuse, she wants to wither into herself most times. Finding a reason to live is difficult most of the times. She doesn't feel safe especially when rescued by another group of bikers. Slash though tries to show her they are not like the animals who kept her captive. Slash is not giving up on Aria, she is lost at times but he has every intention on giving her a will to survive, live and flourish. Can Aria trust in him or is she on a path of despair.
Heartbreaking, the emotion that is detailed for Aria really hits the reader hard. I thoroughly enjoyed Slash he was determined and I was rooting for him. A really terrific series if you like MC books.
It's disgusting to think what family will do to get their hands on someone else's money. Aria has been through hell and back. Slash was very patient and loving with Aria after everything she's been through. I think it was his love and patience that helped heal Aria and taught her to trust again. Another fantastic book just be ready for some heartbreaking parts with a very happy ending, and the bad guys get everything they deserve
This author will have you on the edge of your seat. Plenty of action and a whole lot of lovin! This stories must be read in order but it's so worth it. No two are the same and it amazingly fresh each time. Slash and Dove go through so much to get to their HEA. The pain is so real but so is the closeness these two share. A must read to fans of the MC genre. Plus catch up with some of the supporting characters, they will keep you in stiches.
Slash and Aria came together in a room full of fire. She’s been through hell and then some. Slash sees her and knows she’s his at a soul deep level. They are battling a rival club full of degenerate people with souls darker than anyone thought possible. It’s a love story full of love, redemption, healing and joy. They bring each other peace and it’s freaking beautiful!! I loved this book and the series as a whole
A heartwarming and heartbreaking story of a woman who survived so much and found the love and life she deserved!! Great story with lots of love and some triggers for those who’ve experienced some of the things Aria did. A brave woman!! Sexy times, sweet and loving to each other. Don’t miss it. Congrats to Ciara St James on an awesome read!!
Thought all of her books are great; I have to say this one was my favorite because it showed the strengths of women and our ability to overcome all things! The main character showed that she had the strength to survive even in the face of the pain and torture she went through!
This author really knows how to pull you in and pull on all your feels. What an emotional ride this one was. The ups and downs of Aria just pulls at you and how Slash just sticks by her through all her highs and lows is amazing. If not already on your TBR list you need to add it. The whole series is great.
Slash never thought he would fall for any woman. When the club saved Aria. Things got a new light. Aria doesn’t want to talk about, doesn’t want to remember. Slash can’t help and not walk away. He needs to be close to her. Help her. Heal her. Something are worth fighting for. And she’s definitely worth it.
Ms. St. James always gives her readers a great story. But the Slash and Aria story was an unbelievable read. HCAW is a great series but to read the horror Aria went through and how determined Slash was to get her to believe in herself again and him was powerful. How no matter her troubles she was stuck with him forever. Love conjures all.💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
This is Slash and Aria’s story. Parts of their story were hard to read and I had to stop several times. It addressed rape, torture and humiliation. While this never happened to me I can’t imagine going through it. Aria was strong and with Slash’s help and the help of her therapist and medication she was able to over come it all.
I don't know if life would be worth living, If I could not read some of my favorite authors works! This collaboration between 3 and 4 of my favorite authors was the best idea they could have ever came up with😍 I get giddy every time one of the books comes out!! I hope this can go on for years to come😘
My goodness I couldn’t put this down. It’s quite dark and sometimes uncomfortable reading. What Aria went through upset me. I became quite bloodthirsty about the pain the Cannibals deserved. Slash managed to serve justice poetically. Aria and Slash deserved their HEA. Read this, it’s so worth it.
