An excellent guide for those of us who struggle with Adult ADD. It's concise, readable, and the author has truly Been There. A lot of her ideas are offered in other books on the subject (for example, break tasks into several smaller steps or you'll get overwhelmed and procrastinate) but what's new here is her suggestion that ADD can actually be an asset when we work with it instead of fighting to be like everybody else. As Koretsky says, NO ONE can outdo an ADD-er when we're hyperfocused on something that truly catches our interest and working with our natural rhythms.

Highly recommended for anyone who is trying to make the most of this particular challenge.

Not sure what page I'm on but so far this boook is one of the best for anyone with ADHD or those tendencies to feel overwhelmed and need help breaking those cycles. Good for anyone regardless of whether they've been diagnosed or just need help with too much of the daily grind.

This is easily the most helpful book I've ever read. It's written by an adult with ADD herself, teaching from personal experience as an ADDer as well as a coach for other adults with ADD. The format is "ADD friendly" as it's sectioned and bolded in ways that are easy to zoom through in one sitting, leave and come back to several times, or even just skim through for the important bits. I had "THAT'S ME, EXACTLY!" moments on nearly every other page. It pointed out a lot of great tips for what to do as well as how to think that I'd never thought of before, and they all seemed very manageable and made a lot of sense. I never felt that the author was condescending or that the reading was too analytical. It was like having a friend or coach right there with me. If anyone wants a good book to help them through life with their ADD, this is definitely the very first one they should try!

Without a doubt, one of the most succinct & useful books about adult ADD that I've read thus far. However, I do think that I appreciate it more after having read some of the more technical/scientific books on the topic. The author approaches the subject matter in a no-nonsense, straightforward style, providing easy-to-follow guidelines and tips to help you make your ADD work for you, not against you. Although, as with most of the ADD books, I think that anyone can benefit from a lot of the life management strategies provided.

I am not very far into this yet, but I see myself and at least one of my children in the ADD descriptions.

I don't know what I can add that everybody else hasn't already said, but I just wanted to say that they are right, it is the best book on ADHD out there right now!

An excellent book which I read cover-to-cover in the course of a day, without making any notes. I need to read it again as I can't remember what I thought.

It's OK but mostly a girl boss talking about how she found her way with her coaching business. What's left is emotional regulation- which I don't have an issue with.

Overall the previous books I've read were far superior to this one.
