Fishing. For fish or for men. She really didn’t want to be involved with either one. It was supposed to be a long weekend of rest, reading, and forgetting. Her heart was still heavy from her recent divorce, and she longed to get lost in books and the occasional bottle of wine. But then those plans quickly changed, and she realized that she would to have to face her feelings of insecurity and failure in the most unusual circumstances. Jenni wasn’t ready for another man. But when she’s thrown into a fishing tournament while visiting a friend, she finds there are plenty of men out there angling for more than just a fish. And it seems one man has his hook baited for her. Why does she do so many foolish things around him when she just wants to disappear? Struggling to learn how to fish while at the same time keeping an eye on the too-good-to be-true fisherman Caleb, Jenni is surprised by her conflicting feelings of wanting to be alone but yearning for new love. When their paths seem to continually cross in unexpected ways, she feels herself being reeled in. Is she really ready for another relationship or is Caleb the catch she shouldn’t keep? Hooked on You is a stand-alone sweet romance novel, but brings back some of the favorite characters from Storm Season. If you enjoy stories about finding a new love, overcoming fears of trying something new, and laughing at oneself in spite of it all, you’ll love this look at what it takes to catch the big one.
While the ending was probably a given even by the title,it was very interesting to see how the writer got there. I hope she will continue writing books as her first two are definitely on my suggestion list for other readers.
It was a quick read. However it felt very rushed. I wish the author took the time to slow down and expand the story instead of rushing to the finish line.
What a great beach read! I love stories that take place in the Outer Banks, by local authors, and strong female characters. I loved the surf fishing tournament. I did wish Jenni & Caleb had spent a little more time together in the beginning to establish her crush. But overall, a great read! I look forward to read Storm Season.

What a lighthearted read. I enjoyed the story line. I was able to relate with the Jenni and did end up shedding a tear towards the end. I enjoyed the shorter chapters. I loved how the book was in 3rd person with areas of internal dialogue. Fingers crossed we get to see Jo and Dare’s story unravel!
I really enjoyed reading a story that included the Outer Banks. The author's attention to detail on fishing was impressive, and she captured the feeling of life on the island. I'm looking forward to reading her next book!
Such a good book!!! It had me intrigued the entire time. I normally don’t like romance books but this book was amazing! It was modest and just all around a great love story. I am reading storm season now and I just bought tangled lines. 10/10 book!
