John Logan Allen earned a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Wyoming, a M.A. in Political Science from the same university, and a Ph.D. in Geography from Clark University in Worcester. He is an Emeritus Professor of Geography at the University of Wyoming and the University of Connecticut.
