Oh, it is SO good to have our cowboy necromancer, Sterling Monedero, back. Shee-it, I've missed this guy! There's always action wherever he goes. The Godwalkers have been dealt with for the moment, but there's always something else on the cards for Sterling, isn't there? With his two favourite travelling companions: Sterling's daughter and biomancer, the beautiful Sunflower Kid; and the captivating Roxie 'the Indestructible' currently trapped inside a godwalker; we see them meeting others with similar feelings, minuses on special powers, and a major, MAJOR, surprise on the deadly foes front. I adore Sterling, and over this series he has developed into a very affable and fully overflowing character. I love his burgeoning relationship with his daughter. It truly makes my wee heart sing.

I think Sterling Monedero is one of my favourite characters in Harmon Cooper's excellent body of work. I love the depth and personalities of the characters in these novellas/this series, the storylines, the action, the skill trees, the obvious research carried out by the author, and the world building. This cracking series is just so visual and atmospheric for me. The final novella is perfectly sublime. There's a few very emotional parts in here that, I won't lie, my eyes were filled with tears. I've become close to these characters. I care about them. This pepper farmer enticed me into his action-packed, apocalyptic world from the get-go and never let me leave. Why don't you read this omnibus of novellas straight after you've devoured the novels, amigo, you won't regret it...

Epic Conclusion

We finally see the end of our favourite Cowboy as Sterling's and Cos adventures come to a conclusion. This feels like a weird moment as we see an end whilst also seeing how the post-apocalyptic travels help bring help to the world.
Despite the amazing art, I'm still a bit sad as I shall miss this series as Cooper goes onto other great works.
Without spoilers, this was an amazing and fantastic ending.

It's my belief that this was an add-on. The same formula for Sterling, and he was so, so pompous! I came the first three books 5 out of 5's. This gets a three.
