What happens when Michigan’s most famous ghost hunter can’t see a ghost but her daughter can? Harper Harlow-Monroe is about to find out. When her daughter Poe starts talking about a new ghostly friend nobody else can see, one who brags about hiding from Harper, Whisper Cove’s favorite paranormal investigator is on the case. Unfortunately, the new ghost comes along with a fresh body…and nobody can figure out why—or how—a woman who died years before is going after people in the present. Poe is confused. She likes her new friend and doesn’t want to listen to her mother. There’s just one little problem. The dead woman is holding a grudge against Poe’s grandmother, and she’s ready to add another name to her body count. Now things are getting personal. Harper has friends and they want to help but this is the sort of war that only Harper can fight. Poe’s life is on the line, and there’s nothing Harper won’t do to protect her…including sacrificing herself. Strap in, because it’s about to get wild in Whisper Cove. The past is threatening to ruin the future, and Harper and company will do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn’t happen. They just have to survive to win the day.
Pls has inherited her mother (Harper Harlow's) talent, she can see and talk to ghosts. So far this gift has done nothing but cause problems due to the spirits being drawn to Poe. This time is no different, Harper and Jared think Poe has developed an imaginary friend named Sassy Sara, after all it Poe were seeing a ghost her mother would see it too. Turns out that's not right, Sara is a ghost with a difference, she is strong enough to purposely hide herself from Harper, not wanting her to know. Things then take an even darker turn when a body is found in the grounds of the cemetery Harper and Zander own and operate, and it is a definite case of murder. ..................... These books are always fun especially to see the interaction between the children and adults...
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. This series is the combination of four original series with four characters. Harper Harlow Rowan Gray Ivy Morgan and Matty Graves. Therefore different series ran for a number of different books each and had multiple crossovers where they all met each other and helped each other out overtime. By the end of all books they had all become friends And Ivy and Maddie lived in Northern Michigan and nearby towns with each other. Harper and Rowen live in a town a few hours south just north of Michigan. They get together every week and talk on video chat anytime either one of them has something really weird happened they get together And confirm with each other or actually meet together and take care of this issue. In this particular story and Rowen are having to deal with an issue in their town. Read and see if they’re going to need to call in Ivy and Maddie for support. All the normal characters are there including Harper‘s husband her best friend Xander as well as Rowen‘s husband and their children. it is an adventurous and entertaining story as always. Check it out.
I love the crossovers, tho I do get confused by who knows whom in which series, lol. I'm waiting for the day when the whole of Michigan realizes it's become the hotbed of paranormal activity and all the bad guys are headed their way for the showdown of all magical showdowns. Then they'll all go retire to a nice paranormal island or beach down on the gulf side of Florida. Or maybe one of those plane doors will lead all of us fans to a new world of wonder. Off topic, sorry. These kids are a treat and I'm looking forward to all of their future antics, tho I might have to sit on Poe if Zander can't control her mouth. Any book that can make me laugh out loud while offering up a good puzzle and tossing fun magic in the mix is one I'll recommend to any paranormal fan.
Harper, Jared, Rowan, Quinn, Zander and Shawn are all here in this adventure along with their kids but the one in the forefront of this story is Poe. Poe as you know can see ghosts just like her mother, but what happens if Poe meets a bad ghost but doesn’t know the ghost is bad? That is the question we try to answer in this tale as we are introduced to a ghost that is more than we have seen before. How will things go and what will the adults do to help, for the answer to these and other questions you may have I recommend you read this book to get the correct answers, you’ll be glad you did.
I have been struggling a little with this combined series and not enjoying the stories quite as much, but this one was mostly Harper and felt much more like her own series had been reignited.
A body at the cemetery that Poe trips over. A ghost talking to Poe that Harper cannot see. Kelly thinks Harper is a serial killer. Gloria is in danger because of a previous "wrestling" partner. Zander is Zander.
I'm most definitely enjoying this series! This book was more about Harper, Jared and Zander and I really liked that. Although, I like the other girls and their husband, my favorites are the Ghostly series characters. Especially Zander. I absolutely loved the storyline and got really upset wit Kelly. Darn, is she nosey!!! She needs to leave Harper alone before Harper sics A ghost on her behind!!! Great series!!!
Being a mother isn't easy. Especially if you can see and talk to ghosts. Not all mothers are loving and caring. Sara is using her daughter to go hurt people and Harper must help if she can. I really like the flow of the story and the character in it. I would recommend this to everyone. I have this 5 stars because of how good it is.
As the children grow in their powers, their mother continue to struggle with little ones being and seeing more. Harper will never hold Poe back but the struggle to feel powerful is leading to danger.
Can Harper find the source of Poe’s new distrust of her parents before she is lost?
Poe has been talking to a new ghost friend, which shouldn’t be a problem, but…Poe is saying things that are causing Harper some concern. And then, there’s Jared’s new-ish police partner who seems determined to move up the work ladder by proving Harper is a serial murderer.
The plot was engrossing and suspenseful at times. I had to put down the book several times because the suspense was too much. I like reading about characters from other series as adults with children.
This is a great book to read. I love that we still have Quinn and Rowan I love that have great group of people. This book was a great surprise. You have wonderful talent. Keep writing your wonderful books.
Not one of my favorites though it was nice to have most of the gang together. There was just too much snark and in-fighting in this one for me. I didn't think that could happen but I did have a migraine so that might be a contributing factor.
Amazing , gets better & better as stories go on . Have to keep reading to find out the ending as fast as possible. Hope this series continues a long time …. Fantasy with mystery … love it
Such an awesome story in the series. I love how it's the children being involved. The author has always provided amazing characters and storylines to keep the reader captivated.
We don’t get the hear what Jack says about the purple teddy bear or Ivory’s reaction to it? It was a great read and waiting for the next book. Please don’t stop this series because I saw where it indicated last book, the series would be to short.
I look forward to each book that comes out I find them intriguing and funny they improve my moods And make my day love to read And love reading the series Thank you thank you
I find the children's ages a bit bizarre, they speak and act like children much older but are only around 5 years old. I think it would have made more sense for them to be older.
Book 6 starts with murder, goes to another murder, a super ghost invades, a detective partner becomes a real problem, and add in the magic. Highly entertaining.
