Tommy is determined to win the heart of his biker bear.
Tommy Quinn has concocted the perfect plan. Move to Moon Burrow. Learn to be independent after years of following someone else’s orders. On top of that, he wants to convince Nitro they’re somehow perfect together despite how messed up he is. It’s a tall order, especially when the past refuses to stay buried.
Neal ‘Nitro’ Davis wants and needs no one else but Tommy. A series of unfortunate events had led him to join Venom’s crew. Finding Tommy had never been part of the deal. But once Tommy’s on his radar, Nitro can’t turn back. He intends to make Tommy his, but someone…or something has slipped into Moon Burrow’s defences, and it intends to drag Tommy to the afterlife.
"Nitro" is an M/M shifter romance and the 12th installment in the Moon Burrow Bears series. It features a broken and hopeful magpie shifter and his dauntless biker bear.
This is another good story in this series. Usually, these stories stand alone, and while it is good by itself, Whizz (book 10) should be read first for better enjoyment.
This is book 11 of the Moon Burrow Bears series. Usually I say that you can enjoy each one as a standalone but with this book, you really should read book 10 Whizz first. Otherwise you are missing too much backstory for the characters. This is the story of Neal ‘Nitro’ Davis and Tommy Quinn. The two first started to bond when Nitro was involved in rescuing Tommy in the previous book. While Tommy's life is upside-down right now and he trying very hard to recover and get back to "normal". Since he is in fear most of the time, having the sense of peace that he gets when he is with Nitro is priceless. Nitro is an alpha bear shifter who knew immediately that Tommy was his mate. But he has done nothing about it. He wants to take it slow and give Tommy time to heal. My respect for his character went up at that point. It is very hard to not grab your mate and never let go. Tommy is an omega raven shifter who hasn't shifted in over 2 years. He isn't sure he still can. Of course, Nitro supports him through all his trials. He may not officially claim Tommy, but to his bear and him; Tommy is theirs. This is their story. The book is very well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed this book. I wasn't a big fan of Tommy from the previous book but it is heartbreaking to see what his life was like before being rescued. I am glad that fate gave these two their own happy ever after. Of course that is not to say that they didn't have to work for it.

'Hicks stripped me of my own will and imposed his own. I was more than ready to step out into the world again, to learn how to stand on my own two feet. Moving into that new apartment was a symbol of reclaiming my life, and I couldn't allow fear or hesitation to hold me back any longer.'
I enjoyed this book. Despite still being plagued by nightmares, Tommy was determined to get out there and live his life again and not cower. Tommy and Nitro were really cute together and had great chemistry. After seeing the trauma Tommy went through in the last book, I could respect Nitro giving him time to heal and settle.
'Spike had warned me that helping Tommy heal would be a long, challenging process. But I didn't care one bit about the hard work ahead. Tommy was mine, and we had all the time in the world to figure everything out together.'
I liked the supporting characters- especially loved Spike and I'm really looking forward to his book next. 4 stars.
Eleven books in and I'm enjoying the alpha bears finding their mates. Nitro is up this time and there is no secret who his fated mate is. The connection with Tommy was made in the last book and it just rolled on into this one. I guess you will say this book is more on the hurt/comfort...not real angsty. Nitro is there for Tommy...helping him through his past trauma...even the evilness that comes back to haunt Tommy is a very small part and the threat is taken care of swiftly and the guys have a wonderful HEA...If this series continues, I'm hoping Spike is up next and gets his mate.

Part of the Moon Burrow Bears series each read as a standalone but recommend reading all in the series they are soooo good 😊. We get Tommy and Nitro in this one. Tommy has a past that most will run from makes you want to reach in giving him a huge hug telling him it will all work out and he knows who his mate. Nitro is there for his mate will do what it takes to help him heal from his past and take out any threats right quick, fast, and in a hurry but where are they headed, will any other ghost from his past come for him, and like our others will they find their very own HEA with a little peace?
Sometimes, it's not as bad as it seems. After Tommy was rescued and ready to move forward with his life, his next step was to show Nitro how well suited they could be as a couple. Nitro, expected to spend his life alone. When he met Tommy, one of the rescued omegas, he realized there was hope for a future with a mate. Tommy, is diligent with his safety. Nitro tries to let Tommy know he is wanted and protected. The author does an excellent job building the tension for Tommy's recovery and reintegration into the world. Great Den dynamics, good flow, totally hot cover art, nice characters. Good to see Marc, Tommy's brother. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a really good book. I am so glad that we didn't have to wait long for Tommy and Nitro's book as the connection between these two in the last book had me chomping at the bit for these two. I really enjoyed the book and how Nitro was there for Tommy. These two have really good HEA after a complete of ups and downs. I am looking forward to more from this series and I can't wait for Spike.

After being kidnapped and used by a devious criminal, Tommy is back with his brother after years apart. In the previous book Whizz, Marc and Nitro saved several captives from this criminal. Now Tommy is moving to Moon Burrow and working at the local school. Nitro know Tommy is his mate but Tommy has just survived years of trauma. Unknown to anybody someone is stalking Tommy for revenge. This story was exciting, plenty of danger and true love wins a HEA ending.
A nervous Tommy still feels guilt as he comes to terms with his misdeeds against his will. Nitro helps him in more ways than one to accept his guilt and to try to live a normal life. Together they find their happily ever after. Love this series!.

This is definitely one of my favourite books in the series! I absolutely adored Nitro and Tommy. Nitro was badass but he won my heart over with the way he treated Tommy. He was sweet, patient and understanding.
Highly recommend!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I'm glad Tommy was able to heal and move on. I liked that Nitro and Tommy form a mating bond. There was a bit of a leftover problem from Tommy's past but they were able to deal with it.
I really love thks series as well as the Moon Burrow Ravens!!! Those grizzled are such teddy bears with their mates - there is plenty of love and you always.get an HEA!!!!!!! Thank you - Lori
Good book, but seemed a little rushed. Not as captivating as usual. If deadlines are an issue I would rather have a more in-depth book, even if I had to wait a little longer.
I'm totally invested in this MC family and supporting characters. I liked seeing the main characters connect and their relationship grow. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
After the events of the previous book, Whizz, we now get Tommy's book. It may make more sense if you read Whizz first, as Tommy appears in it and you'll probably get more out of this if you know exactly what went on with him. Tommy and Nitro's romance was sweet, with Nitro not rushing the traumatised Tommy but happy to go at his pace. They were good together and I loved the epilogue. The few glimpses of Venom we get here are always welcome. It was also nice to see Dylan happy with Whizz. I actually found Nitro's friendship with Spike more interesting, but that's a me thing, and I want to know Spike's history and see him get his HEA. Luckily, he's next.
